Christmas in July: TGF

Hello there Crafty Peeps,

Just stopping by to show off a quick (well not so quick initially) card I made. I colored this image a while back but just not made it into a card. I hope you like it. It's a Rubber Stamp that I actually have two of. LOL How did that happen I'm thinking I need to sell one or give one away... I'm 50%/50% on both ideas.

I used Holiday Anya just click on the link (but currently it's out of stock)

I used Spectrum Noir to color her and the background.
I cut that poinsettia with my Cricut a long time ago I just added Studio G glitter glue for the center
to finish it off. The Merry Christmas greeting is from a clear stamp that I don't have the packaging.

I hope you liked my little card.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

TTPH DT: Japanese Oiran in Kimono

Hello Everyone!

I been finally doing summer activities with my family and unfortunately it has put some of my crafting to the back burner LOL but no worries I'm still trying to do a bit here and there... hopefully when my kids' summer vacation is over I get a little more time to do crafty stuff if homework doesn't suck up my time. :P

Okay so I was asked to make a card with an Aurora Wings image and of course I said YES because I love her drawings/paintings they are just gorgeous detailed works of art. So when I received the image I was like whoa whoa whoa that's a lot of work to color. LOL Either way coloring puts me at ease and it's quite relaxing the only thing is what colors to choose to give it the look it deserves.... Another thing is I know I didn't give it justice. I will have to make another card with this image again in totally different colors... well I might keep the peonies the same color lol. OH YEA so... well... what happen was.... I thought those purple flowers were AFRICAN LILIES lol they are so not that! They are actually SPIDER LILIES... whoops. I should have looked at the name of the image first right?

Well here you go... I'm showcasing Japanese Oiran in Kimono Spider Lily) (just click the link and it'll take you right to Aurora Wings Etsy shop.)

This is a 6x6 card and I printed two of these images on a 8.5x11 Spectrum Noir Premium cardstock. Oh yea on the Landscape side so I can make sure the height would fit a 6x6 card and be able to be matted. So it's 5x 5 3/4. As minimal decoration I wanted the side panels to be gold.
I left most of her face white so it looks like white makeup then I use a tiny bit of C3 for the darker areas then used C1 for the lighter areas then went in with "0" the Colorless Blender to make it lighter since I don't have anything lighter than C1 in those tones. Then I added some pink/reddish make up and of course colored the lips red trying to be very careful not to go into the white areas.
Probably the easier parts to color were the peonies and were my favorites to colors :)

I colored my entire image with Copic markers. I chose lucky red for the Kimono... it's just the color that first came to mind and I'm even sure if the flowers match it but oh well I had fun coloring. :P
The red cardstock base is from Recollections and the Gold cardstock is from DCWV Metallic Premium Stack. Hope you like my card and hope you are inspired to color one or many of Mizi's beautiful images.

Thank you so much Mitzi for providing our DT with your beautiful creations.

Thank you everyone for stopping by.

TTPH DT: Theme Distressed

Hi Everyone!

Hope hopefully you all had a great weekend! I didn't do much this weekend but I did get a date night when the hubby- and I had loads of fun. :)

Okay so This is my very first project as DT member at http://throughthepurplehazechallenges.blogspot.com/ I saw an announcement on Facebook that they needed some design team members and decided to give it a shot at least for now. So far I have seen that the ladies are so much fun and all so very supportive.

Delicious Doodles is the sponsor this week and I'm using the image Blossoms (just click on the link and it'll take you right to the shop.)
Thank you so much Teri Sherman for sponsoring our DT group your images are beautiful.

I colored my image with Copic markers and some areas with my Sakura Pigma Sensei pens.
I tore the edges for (distressing) then I used Distress Inks.

I fussy cut extra blossoms and butterflies then embossed them with my stylus to get the 3D effect on the card.

I hope you liked my card.
I also made my first card share on YouTube.
there you can see the card in better detail.

by the way there are several challenges going on at
for the blog's birthday. Make sure to check those out as well.
Thanks for stopping by,

JIC DT: Shabby with SSD

Hello my crafty peeps!

IDK why it feels like I haven't been creating anything... but I have behind the scenes. I guess it doesn't feel I made anything unless it's complete and in the blog world...

Okay this week I worked on a card for http://justinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ using an image which was graciously sponsored by http://buysassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com/. I'm not sure of the image name but it might be Sassy French Honey.

I really tried to do "Shabby"- It's not something I typically do and even though I googled shabby I still had a hard coming up with something that looks as nice as everyone else's with this theme BUT here you go:

I used papers from KaiserCraft 6 1/2 paper pad it's called True Romance.
I colored my SSD image with Copic markers. When I was done I didn't like that my image didn't
match the flowers very well so I sort of tweaked the roses on papers to make
them match a little with the image. The roses were much prettier before but at least it matches. LOL
I distressed the edges with scissors a little on the pink paper to make it a little more shabby.

Fussy cut some of the images to add to the front and inside of the card.

I hope you can enter in this week's Shabby theme.
Sassy Studio Designs and Zuri Vice President Jr are this week's sponsors.

Thank you for visiting.

Cheeky You Twinkle

Hi Everyone!

Just doing a little fun post. I had colored this image maybe about a week ago or two... I don't remember but I just put it into a card over the weekend. Some of you got to view her during my very first YouTube video. I really was just supposed to show my markers and how I store them then at the end I showed off a few of my colorings to show that I do actually use my markers... heeehee
Here's the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mj6UcOdwd1k

I'm using http://thegreetingfarm.com/shop/cheeky-fairy-digi.html At the moment it's only available in digi but either way I love her!

I used acrylic paints for the sky and I used water color pencils for the rainbow.
I stamped this little sentiment from The Greeting Farm
then I went over it with Copic Atyou Spica pens.
it's called Because of You rubbet stamp set but I couldn't find it on the website to link it to you.
I hope you liked my little card.

Thank you for visiting.

JIC DT: ZVP Glitter and Sparkle

Hi Everyone!

Welcome :) This week I worked on a card for Just Inspirational Challenges-
The theme this week is: Glitter and Sparkle

Today I used Manga Style Little Mermaid from ZuriVicePresidentJr's Etsy Shop
(click on the links and it will take you to look around and purchase if you'd like)

I used bright colors for this image- for some reason these images
inspire me to use very bright/vivid colors.

I had been making lots of 6x6 cards but for this card and my last card I decided to
make an A2 sized cards- for easy mailing :)

I used Copic Copic to color my mermaid. Copic Spica Atyou were used on the hair and the fins.
I used Stickles Glitter Glue on the tail
and I used Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll on the Banner and waves.

This is the Inspiration Photo from Just Inspirational Challenges.

Thank you for stopping by.

JIC July Monthly Challenge- SBS

Hello Everyone!

Loving the weather these days... here in The Bay Area the weather is unpredictable though... Some days it's really hot then it's too windy or cold so we have HAVE to put on some MORE clothes. LOL I do love the summer time birthday parties though even if it's cold... AND even if its just kids parties they're always so much fun to go to. LOL Yes I enjoy pinatas, candy and all of that fun stuff I'm really a big kid at heart.

Okay on to what I really wanted to "talk" about....
Welcome to to our July Monthly Challenge over at
http://justinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ (the monthly challenge is at the top of the blog post just under the header.)
This month's theme is Stitchy: Real of Faux

Our sponsors are Whoopsi Daisy and Simply Betty Stamps.

I bought my Pinata Betty Boo (click on the link and it'll take you right up to her at the SBS shop.)

I used paper from a 6X6 Recollections pad I have. I lost the cover for the pad so I don't remember sorry- I think it has to do with all seasons... not sure.
I colored my image with Copic markers and no glitter at all... can you believe that? LOL
I also used a die from from My Creative Time called Stitched Tab Die

Thank you for stoping by
