Raider Nation Til I Die

Hello again Everyone,

This is a card that I made a while back but realized I haven't made a blog post for it. Oooops... not a biggie it was made just for fun and as a thank you card for an online friend that sent me some crafty goodies. The skin, the makeup, the hair and clothing were totally inspired by her. She kindly sent me something as a surprise or what do they call it Happy Mail or Random Act of Kindness? It definitely was both so I made her a card I took a looooooong time to send it.... but it's on it's way. I hope that she likes it.

This digi is called The artist and you can find her by clicking on the link. http://thestampingchef.com/Shop/downloads/the-artist/
Of course I had to make her a tagger LOL
Another thing this card was inspired by Oakland Raider Cheerleaders. LOL
It was done all in fun and yes I like the Raider's even though they have been losing.... bad :(

I colored her up with Copics (and pencils the hair)
The bling was and the flowers on the right were part of that R.A.K.
The flowers under the digi were flowers  Corinne sent me in a Swap. I just removed the flower
center and glued two together to create some pom-poms. They have a silver shimmer but it's hard to tell on the photos.

I think you can see some of the dimension.

Thanks for looking now time for a short nap.

Thank you for stopping by,

TSC DT: Not stars in the sky

Good morning Everyone!

How all is well. Taking a tiny tiny of a break from Halloween cards, Halloween candy and Halloween costumes or costume talk..... well I guess this could be a costume too but.... yea.

A couple of people came to mind when I created this card. The fairy named Alyce (which you can buy by clicking the link provided)
http://thestampingchef.com/Shop/downloads/alyce-special-celebration-image/ I colored a while ago but had not thought of anything to put her on. Sometimes when I color something just for just and I digging it I just want to look at it and not disturb it by sticking it on paper.... but I had an idea for it this time and hoped for the best.

I created my own background by using Time Holtz Distress Ink pads: Broken China and Dusty Concord, Stampendous Frantage, Clear glitter embossing powder on white pigment ink for the sentiment. I'm thinking I should have used a different embossing powder because the white font seems to sort of disappear when I added the clear powder. This rubber stamp by Impression Obsession # E5094 I bought that from http://www.thestamproom.com/search.aspx?manufacturer=88. (I love that shop too)

Here is my Alyce - it was so much fun coloring her.

I colored her up with Copic and pencils.
A tiny big of Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll pen.
I love love looking at things, objects or animals in nature with iridescent colors.
From pearls, to hummingbirs and even car oil or grease along the sidewalk after it has
rained or the car has been washed... oh yea and bubbles they have an irridescence
and lets not forget dragonflies and house flies. LOL
From a young girl as far as I could remember I was always mesmerized by all of these colors and I and I still am.... so I was trying to think of a way to make her wings and hair
look iridescent without adding glitter because I so can't photograph glitter.
So there you have it I was inspired by bugs and stuff. LOL
Here is a close up sort of and sorry these photos are taken with artificial lighting in the house...
Mommy crafting in the middle of the night again....

Thank you for stoping by. I hope you create with something that
truly inspires you in life... could be anything... even a dead house fly. Ha!

SBS DT: Suck it Up

Hi Everyone!

Today I'm back with another card for the 13 Days of Halloween party from Simply Betty Stamps.

I'm using Betty Vacuum Witch it comes with that sentiment and it can be found here: http://simplybstamps.net/item_2407/Betty-Vacuum-Witch-Digi.htm I bought this a while ago and I think it was part of a secret release.... meaning you buy it usually for a reduced before they are shown. Kind of a gamble but these were pretty funny. This one is inspired by Mary from Hocus Pocus so I colored her hair and outfit to try to match her character. LOL

I colored my imaged with Copics and it was fine and dandy last night.
I went to take kids to school and came back to work on my card and somehow there was ink
on her face of all places. grrrrr.... she looks like she has a 2 day mustache. LOL

I have her on an action wobble that I won from a challenge
Rosie Mini's blog and The Scrapbooking Queen was her sponsor.

To participate in this challenge make sure you link up at

Thank you for looking.

SBS DT: Sexy and Scary... or Naughty?

Hi Everyone,

Running a bit behind on things not feeling so hot but still trying to get things done around here.
I was so excited to do this card and I'm late to the party. Boooo!

Anyway, I purchased this digi as part of a secret release something in late Summer I think. I'm glad I am now able to use it as it was fun trying to come up with something Sexy and Scary. I made it a tiny bit naughty since the challenge was to make the card for that man in your life LOL or a least make it sexy for a man.

This is the image I used: Franken Babe Betty
http://simplybstamps.net/item_2906/Franken-Babe-Betty-Digi.htm

This is what I came up with.
My hubby actually sent me that  full sentiment in a text. LOL I know TMI.
but it was so much fun trying to incorporate it in a card. ;)

Well I hope you like and I hope you get it... :P
I hope you all can participate in the challenge over at SBS

TTPH DT: Warm Hugs

Hello Everyone!

Today it's the 64th Challenge over at Through The Purple Haze Challenge Blog.

This week we are being sponsored by Aurora Wings and I got to color We Love Snowman.
(click on the name of the digi to take you to the Etsy Store)
Thank you Mitzi for sponsoring us this week. Your images are always fun to color :)

Here is my completed card.

I colored it with Copic markers.
I used Sakura Gelly Roll and Stickles to add glitter and sparkle
to random areas of snow or snowflakes.
The snowflake die is from The Greeting Farm.
The circle I traced the inner part of my Spellbinders die so it
wouldn't cover up the design of the My Creative Time wavy circle die.
The fancy label is from Spellbinders as well.
I love those little kittens giving the snowmen warm fuzzy hugs lol!
It was fun trying to add a little fur on them.
The small snowflakes are from a Martha Stewart punch.

I hope that you are able to play in our 64th challenge called

I hope you liked my card.

Thank you so much for visiting.

SBS DT Meowie London

Hello Everyone!

I hope you're having a wonderful Saturday.

Today continuing on 13 Days of Halloween over a thttp://simplybettystamps.blogspot.com/

Today's challenge is a Color Combo!
Use Traditional Halloween Colors.
Orange, Purple, Lime Green and black and it's Anything Goes!

Here is the link for the actual challenge

The winner from this challenge will part of the Dia de los Muertos Party Release Hop! That sure sounds fun to me :D

I used Copic markers to color her.
The papers are from a grab bag online yard sale Betty had a year or two ago.
From We Are Memory Keepers.
She is popped up and for added dimension.
The glitter stickers are from Making Memories: Spellbound.

Close up... I wasn't too happy with the hair so I added more streaks (after the photos)
and finally the inside of the card. I really liked those little kids Trick or treating
so I wanted to show the paper more.

I hope you liked my card. I really do try to think
of Halloween stuff since it's not what I normally do but working on it. LOL

Thank you for visiting.

TSC DT: Smile Sweetcakes

Hey Everyone!

Just popping in with a card I created. This digi I had actually colored previously but it just needed to be put on a card.

Today I'm using digi stamp "The Artist" http://thestampingchef.com/Shop/downloads/the-artist/

OMG I love this image, to me it's just too cool. Besides that she looks so good I'm inspired to color her because I find the hair challenging and look at those sweet cakes on her! LOL

I bought this image when it first came out and colored her while on vacation... actually I colored 3 and half of these. LOL I was so desperate to win this class that I tried different skin tones and different hair colors. Long story short, I didn't get the free class but I somehow made it to the DT and I'm sure happy about that. LOL.

I was also inspired to make this card because my Mother works as a garden educator at a local school- I was there on Monday and she made me think about strawberries since they're still growing there and it just made me think of this image. LOL Plus it's October- Breast cancer Awareness month so why not use her and her big pink hair. I know a few people that die their hair pink in October. :D

I colored her with Copics
The stamp and dies are from My Creative Time
For some reason it seemed too blah... so I drew a few strawberry plants
with a Sakura pen and colored in it with Gelly Rolls
since the way I colored her was inspired by Strawberry Shortcake.

I added freckles on her face and shoulder (I hope you all can see.)

SBS DT: Use Cotton of Gauze

Hello Everyone!

Here to welcome you to the 5th day of the 13 Day's of Halloween over at Simply Betty Stamps Blog and to announce that today is my official first day as an SBS DT member! Woohoo! I had to like double check with Betty cause she asked me to be on her DT and I couldn't believe it. Ahhhhh! LOL I did the happy dance probably like 20 minutes later with Jade cause I still couldn't believe it for a little while... I had to ask her are you sure you want ME? LOL She must of really liked my Zombie Bday Betty or she must of been desperate I don't know.... LOL I hope that I can come up with some cool and interesting cards while I'm part of the team since to me I feel that they're all so competitive and creative it'll be hard to keep the ideas coming but I'll try my best.

Well for my first project I had to work with a Halloween image from Jude and Friends lines and use cotton or gauze.

I made an easel card with Little Dragon Jude (click on the link if you'd like to buy it.)

I colored the image with Copic markers.
The gauze/sterile pad I stretched it, ripped off some pieces, added red sticky take
to make sure it was secure. I didn't want to use glue because I didn't want it
to come through the front. I drew eyes and mouths with my Sakura pen.
The designer papers from We R Memory Keepers: Spookville lots
of pieces were scraps from a previous project and
I got those from a Secret Halloween Swap last year.

Here is a little bit of the side view of the easel card.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you liked it.

Make sure to enter all of the fun challenges going
but the challenges have a limited time so get to it. :P

Again, thanks for visiting.

Emily's Very Merry Birthday Blog Hop

Hello Everyone,

Back at it again with these cards.... gotta get them out while the mojo is still there right? LOL
Well I had loads of fun coloring this image that Betty graciously let us have as long as we had it ready for Emily Shroom's birthday! She's from the Land of Down Under and is visiting the USA and as far I know she's been having a blast...  A bunch of us have a wonderful birthday surprise for her and we hope that she enjoys it as much as we enjoyed creating these for her.

If you are coming from the awesome crafty mama, Mrs. Summer Painter, then you're in the right place. If not check down below for the full list of the blog hop. Next is SBS' very own Tuesday Solo Colorist Erin.

Well here is my card.
Will post the link to this digi as soon as it's put on to the shop.
but you can check out the store here and you might find other cool stuff while we wait :)
http://simplybstamps.net/category/new.htm
 Colored with Copic markers.
I used paper all designer papers from Crafty Secrets.
The plain paper are all Recollections.
The doily die is from My Creative Time.
the little tea cup is my own hand drawing trying make a match for Betty's Teapot. LOL
I originally had just cut the image into a square. I've been trying to not fussy cut some images to see
if it helps me speed along since I'm a slow colorer but it was just too too too much white.... it
would have worked out if I wanted it to be a CAS card but it just wasn't the look I was going for and
it was making feel a little weird about it...
so I went mad on coloring then doodling the entire background. So there to me
it finally felt more like something out of Alice in Wonderland since I'm lacking the
papers for that theme.
That is the back of the card. LOL I would never do that but it was
just too funny to pass up that stamp set.

TTHP DT: Stitchy Bear wood eld snow globe

Hello Everyone!

Hope you're having a happy Monday. Today I'm showcasing a shaped card for TTPH's 62nd Blog Challenge. WOW!

I been pretty busy but still trying to cut in some time for crafting... literally... I'll explain. Ha!

So since I've been a little under the weather and not enough hours to complete certain tasks I've been trying to find ways to cut in some time. So I didn't have time to set up my Cricut... cause it's boxed for the moment and I put away my Silhouette wires. My hubby and I have been moving things around the house and getting rid of stuff.... don't worry my crafty stuff isn't going anywhere. LOL So besides that I was low on time and that I'm a little bit lazy at times.... I decided to hand cut my snow globe card. Yup, I centered my largest circle Spellbinder on an A2 card and traced lightly with a pencil on the outer part. For my image I lightly as well traced but on the inner part of the circle without tracing over the feet. For the blue layer I actually used my Cuttlebug because I already had it next to my desk and I still needed an in between layer. For the Snowflakes I used two Martha Stewart punches that came as set and I rarely use them as corner punch or a border punch. I always use them solely for the snowflakes what a shame right? LOL So that was it and it didn't take long. What took longer was trying to make a nice bow... which I still feel that I failed miserably. I'm not used to working with that type of ribbon- it's a little harder to manipulate and it's a little thicker than I'm used to.

Okay so enough chatter... Here is my card.

I colored the image with Copic markers.
I lightly used some drying Colorbox inks to shade around the edges
then I added dots light dots to the background and drew in some snow mounds.

I colored in some white snow with my Sharpie extra fine point paint pen for white snow
and with my Sakura gellyroll for the shimmer

Wasn't too bad and it didn't take me too long.
The longest part was the coloring and then trying to fix the box.

Well, I hope you can join us this week at
Make a shaped card and make sure that you're only entering to 10 challenges for your card to be considered for a prize.

Thank you to Stitchy Bear Stamps

Happy Birthday Wendy!

Good morning Everyone!

Hope you all are having a beautiful day. These days have been feeling a lot like a HOT HOT summer and nothing at all like Autumn.... only the first few days then it went back to full blast summer. Which is nice and all but out state needs some rain. Ha! California I tell ya.

So It's my crafty friend's birthday. Happy birthday Wendy B. (It was yesterday but showing you all the card today.) When I think about Wendy I always think super creative, fun and adventurous or when she laughs even if it's only typing online like Facebook... she giggles or laughs with a snort. LOL

Heehee...

You can find Siren Rio digi here http://simplybstamps.net/item_1945/Siren-Rio-Digi.htm
I can't believe that I had it like maybe over a year and I hadn't even colored her up. #CrafterProblems

Well here is my card.

I colored her with Copic Markers and pencils
I added Glossy Accents to some of the tips of her hair so it appears to be wet especially since
I saw a water drop as part of the digi.
I made the pearls stand out a bit by using Viva Decor Pearl Pen

Well That is all folks. I hope that you like it and I really hope that Wendy likes it too.

Thank you for visiting,

TSC DT: Sometimes life just stinks

Hey Everyone!

Hope you all are doing well. Just popping in with another card and image from The Stamping Chef storeToday I decided to not use a Smexy lady but a sort of angry baby. LOL    Well she’s a toddler named Tess and this digi Now we wait Isn’t she just too funny?

Well, sometimes life just stinks like poo in the loo. LOL  (plug in some foreign accent while saying it.) This card is aimed to cheer up someone who has been in the dumps or has been  having a bad time. I’m sure this image can be used in many different way though.

Okay here is my card.

The monochromatic theme was not intended that way…. it just got that way all on it’s own. LOL  jk I'm just trying these to match papers then I got too matchy-matchy but it worked out fine. The roses (from Wild Orchid Crafts) were white and I colored them with my Copic refills just by applying a few drops here and there. The toilet paper rolls I actually used real toilet paper. The empty toilet roll to make tiny paper toilet rolls wasn’t too hard but you just need a fast drying glue…. I just moved my things around with my hubby last week and my desk space is a hot mess. I don’t know where my hot glue gun which would of sped up the process greatly.

Well that is it for now.
I hope you liked my card.

Thank you for stopping by.

Makes sure you give the
a try.  You'll love it!

Thanks for looking.
