LMMS Christmas Vega

Hello,

Today I'm showcasing a card with image Polka Dot Pals Vega digi and Polka Dot Pals Add-On Faces from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I used a background from Make It Crafty called Penelope Watching Santa Digi. I cropped the Make It Crafty Image and used the version without the Santa in the background.

I had fun coloring this scene even though I  have been sick... (whaaaaaah) I would have colored much faster if I wasn't sick though and on top of that busy Mom schedule. I started coloring the image with prismacolors but some areas that needed more coverage like the curtain, the night sky and Vega's dress I colored with Copic marker first. I did not need to use markers first but I found that it was a slight cheater method to lay down some coverage. I mostly used Prismacolor pencils though.

I tried to color Polka Dot Pals Vega digi to look like the person I am giving the card to.

Here is a close-up of the image

LMMS: Lamb and Star

Good Day Everyone!

I hope all is well. I've been working on a few cards behind the scenes and this one is one of my simpler cards at the moment but it has a powerful meaning to me. I got the idea to make it a card from a bible verse. Matthew 2:10 (through verse 11)

The name of the Little Miss Muffet Stamp is Lamb and Star. The image was separated because I originally meant to add a die cut in between the mountains and the pasture but I ended up liking the image centered and I will have to make another card or two to show my original idea as well as the layout in which it was intended to be used by LMMS artist Barbara. The inside of the card is a rubber stamp from Our Daily Bread Stamps and it's called "Come Let Us Adore Him"

I colored background with mostly distress inks straight on to the paper and then blended by using the mini ink blending foam. I made sure to block the image with a removable sticker or masking paper. When my background distress inking was done I colored in the star, the lamb and added a little shading and a few lines on the grass with Prismacolor pencils. I finished off the coloring by adding stars with a Uni-ball Signo Angelic pen and tracing over the black lines on the star. See! Easy peasy! :D For the sentiment in the front I hand wrote that myself... Every time I tell myself to not put my sloppy handwriting on the front for the next card... next card comes around if I don't have a proper stamp or die for it I mess it up with my sloppy hand writing LOL I don't know why I do it! Aaaaah!

Here is the inside of the card. I ended up not using Kraft cardstock inside and went with
plain white since I didn't need to use color pencils.
I know the stamp inside says it differently but I liked it a lot and the meaning is the same.

9 When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. 11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

I hope you enjoyed this card as much I enjoyed coloring and making the card while playing
Norman Hutchins - Emmanuel song on a loop. heehee

Polka Dot Pals Alpini and Polka Dota Pals Add-On Faces  from  Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

I wanted make a winter card and create an Aurora Borealis in the background.
I haven't practiced much with coloring Aurora Borealis but I noticed that they are
always random shapes and colors. In the future I will try it out with dark edges and stars.

I used Copic markers for the entire image along with Rubbing Alcohol.
Some of the colors I used are
BV01, E0000, E51, E53, E55, R21, R30, R85, E97 and Y19
E11, E25, E23
BV00, V04, RV00, RV21, B0000, B00, B01, B02, B02, BG000,
BG13, BG15, BG32, BG72
W5, W7 and W5
G85, G99 and BG96

After I colored the sky I got a thick napkin and rolled a tip and dripped some
rubbing alcohol on random spots.

The rectangle die is from My Creative Time.
Then I hand wrote the sentiment.

That is it for now.

LMMS Winter Cheer Simone

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving Day!

I hope you are having a wonderful day wether you stay at home or had to go to work. Today I'm showing a card with an image called Jr. Hatter Simone from  Little Miss Muffet Stamps This time I decided to color her blonde and put her somewhere cold but she looks really cheerful despite the cool climate. LOL

Here is my card. I used all Copic Markers for this image.
Here are the colors I used on Jr. Hatter Simone
skin BG000, E0000, E000, E21, R20, R30, R83
hat, skirt and boot socks V17, V15, V09, V06
leggings and shirt BG10, BG32, BG72
hair E50, E51, Y00, Y21, Y26
boots E21, E33, E34, E35
sky B21
water B02
snow B00
penguin C7, C4, C3, YR16, Y38

The papers are from Doodlebug Design called Frosty Friends
I really wanted to use some of that paper because of the cute penguins and then I
layered more that I usually do that I ended up covering all but one little
penguin. LOL
(I think I'm gonna try and use up all of that paper so I can buy myself
a new Doodlebug paper stack maybe not this one or maybe yes. haha)
I was trying to look for some flowers that grow in the Arctic and I did
see some flowers similar to the white and purple ones I have.
The white and purple flowers were gifted to me from my Crafty Friend
Carmen Shannon a few years back along with a bag will of random flowers-
it was really nice of her.  :)
The corner and border snowflake punches are from Martha Stewart that
I've had for years and both are under used. lol

LMMS Itzel - Thanks

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I'm back with an inspirational card for Little Miss Muffet Stamps Challenge Blog. I'm showcasing a brand spanking new stamp called Polka Dot Pals Itzel along with the Polka Do Pals Add-on Faces. I'm having so much fun adding the new faces to the stamps because they make the Polka Dot Pals so versatile.

 Here is my card using
Polka Dot Pals Itzel

I was excited to color this image and wanted to add lots of color.
Everything was colored up with Copic markers and I added eyelights and
polka dots on the headband with my Uni-ball Signo Angelic White pen.
I've been taking my photos outside in natural light and I got lucky with
this one because it stormed for the past 2 and half days.
The die is from My Creative Time.

Here is a little close-up I wasn't done coloring yet but here you can see
the expression on that little mouse in her pocket. heehee
I wonder if it's cold, or if it sneaked in her pocket or if she ran out of
food or crumbs.

Here is a little of the process... Copic Explosion!
This is when I was pretty much done with the coloring.
I know I get really messy when I get creative.
(I do put all of my markers back when I start a new image. lol)

I hope you liked my autumn outdoor scene card.

creations done by the very creative ladies in on the

La Catrina

Hey Everyone!

Hopefully all have been having a great time using the new Polka Dot Pals Add-On Faces clear stamps. There are 4 Polka Dot Pal Add-On Faces that are actually available in digital form as well which is what I used for this stamp because I had ordered the clear Polka Dot Pals Add-On Faces and I just got them in the mail today- Woohoo!

Okay, on to my card... I was inspired by La Catrina which is a fancy or elegant female skeleton and is the image of "death" and one of the main images for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead in English.) La Catrina is usually dressed in fancy European (usually French) hats and dresses from the early 1900's or in Traditional Mexican Folkloric dresses. On Halloween, November 1st and November 2nd some people dress as La Catrina or get skull candy facepaint. People sometimes tell jokes and act out humorous skits about death as well as perform traditional folkloric dances. I don't celebrate this holiday but I always have fun watching the performances or have painted a few faces myself.
For the dress I was inspired by the beautiful stitch work of the Traditional Mexican dresses from the State of Nayarit. I was also Inspired by one of the quotes Frida Kahlo said and I hand wrote it in Spanish. Frida Kahlo endured so much pain both physically and emotionally throughout her life but transferred and expressed all of her love and sorrow into her words and her paintings. To me she always represents a very inspirational and strong woman. For my rendering of this Remata I chose this quote of Frida Kahlo which she said on her final days:

"Espero que la salida sea alegre,
y espero no volver nunca mas."
translation:
(I hope the exit is joyful,
and I hope to never return.")

I colored the entire image with Prismacolor Pencils on
Kraft Cardstock and hand wrote the words with a
I tried to make the background a little creepy.

That is it for now sorry I'm a bit behind on the Day of the Dead image.
There are workers outside of my house and I excavating to install
fiber optics on my street but in the mean time there
was no internet and I couldn't update any of my software.
I hope that you still find the card a little bit inspiring.

Birthday Wishes

Hello Everyone!

As some of you may have noticed, I was invited to the Little Miss Muffet Stamps DT. Thank you so much Barbara Sproat for the invitation and Kathy Curry for all of your help. Lately I've been coloring with mainly Pencils. I know I need to go back to Copic every now and then otherwise I'll loose my touch. LOL I've just been practicing and having fun with my Prismacolor Pencils  on Kraft paper that  I've neglected my Copic markers for a bit.

Here is my inspiration card for the week.
I don't have many boy cards so I wanted to work
on a card with a little boy. I used two images
Polka Dot Pals Eric and Polka Dot Pals-Add on Faces (digital)
When I put it together it actually reminded me
of my two boys especially with the pajamas, holding books and toys,
the big brown eyes and curly hair.

Items used:
Prismacolor pencils
Doodlebug Design paper Hip Hip Hooray
Kraft Paper
Recollections black cardstock

A little close-of the coloring.

Don't forget that Little Miss Muffet Challenges
are Always Anything Goes,
so take some time to make a little card or project if you'd like.
Next week we are going to have some extra fun and show some previews of some new and fun stamps- you won't want to miss.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

A Very Merry Christmas

Hello Everyone! Happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a card I made using mainly one color family... purples...
I had particularly colored the image a long time ago and set it aside but finally took the time to complete a card with her. I bought the rubber stamp from the https://thegreetingfarm.com/

The rubber stamp is called Holiday Anya 4
The paper is from Doodlebug Design called Frosty Friends
The sentiment is from a stamp set I bought at Michaels and I'll have to
come back with the name once I find it under all of my crafty mess.
I used a Sakura Gelly Roll to glitter up the star and her boots.
The cutting die is from Craftin' Desert Divas.

LMMS Guest DT Inspiration card using Zappa

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week! I have joined the Little Miss Muffet Stamps Guest Design Team. I am honored to be invited as Guest DT and feel very welcome. I have an inspiration card that I can't wait to show you. I have used Polka Dot Pals Zappa and one of the Polka Dot Pals Add-On Faces (Digital). If you have a program such as Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor or anything similar you can definitely used them. I have even used the faces on another LMMS stamp with a word document program such as LibreOffice. With Photoshop though you have more freedom to size, move the faces, tilt or rotate.

I used Prismacolor Pencils to color this image
I am pleased the way she came out.
The Little Miss Muffet Stamp images make it easy to
add facial features such as a puffy or child-like face.
The papers are from Doodlebug Design Inc: October 31st

Here is the my coloring early on...  99% of the time I color the face first
and then the rest of skin. I colored it a little more after this
but I just wanted to show a little bit of the process in the beginning stage.

The Prismacolors I used are
PC: 109, 140, 901, 908 915, 926, 929, 935, 938,
942, 943, 945, 946, 947, 995, 997, 1012, 1056, 1078, 1102
and I used Uni-ball Signo Angelic white pen
For the background I used a Tim Holtz Distress Ink

Please check out Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog for
Challenges (Always Anything Goes) and for more inspiration.

I hope you liked my card.
Thank you so much for visiting!

from a poinsettia bunch from Michaels (originally white) the flowers are
from the Not2ShabbyShop, the papers are from Photoplay: Holiday Cheer
(the papers were included in the Super Secret Krafty Kit)
I lightly sprayed Tattered Angels Shimmer Mist around the background
and on the poinsettia.

I took the photos outside and got this warm glow from the sun.

Here's a close-up
I had these leftover white poinsettias from a project I worked on two years ago.
Originally I planned on using two poinsettia flowers but I changed my mind
and added smaller roses to sit next to one poinsettia.
I colored them with Copic refills and green details with a copic marker,
the center I added Nuvo Glitter drops called Ruby Slippers
that was included in our Super Secret Krafty Kit.

A little birdie told me...

Good morning everyone!

This month I'll be participating as a Guest DT for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Woot Woot!
This week the theme is Fall / Autumn colors. When I think about Fall/Autumn colors I think about the changing leaves, colors of the sky but I also think about the harvest and fruits that were planted in the spring and fall. (I think I'm always thinking about food though. hahaha) Therefore, I was inspired to make this card. The image reminds me of my Mom, she's always in the garden. She gardens at home and she also teaches and maintains a garden at an elementary school in her local neighborhood. The food my mom grows is for the community she lives in. Many children and their families get to take home what they helped grow at their school. Every time I visit her in the garden there is always something I can just rinse off and nibble on.

I used this little girl with fresh picked vegetables from the garden
it's a retired Rubber Stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie's artists: Cheryl Grant
I got it from Facebook Rubber Party, Kim Reid had on the Kraftin' Kimmie
Facebook Fan page. Rubber Parties are really fun and sometimes sad (LOL  ) if you
aren't quick enough or if your internet or Facebook is lagging.
I don't remember the name and I don't have the packaging printout
since it was sort of a online yard sale.
When I find the name I will update the info.
The Spanish sentiment is from
a Dilo En EspaƱol set called Set #2 Queremos Pastel
I colored the image with Copic markers
and used a Doodlebug Design paper stack called Friendly Forest
the banner die is from My Creative Time.

That is all folks!

Thank you for stopping by.

Snowball Fairy

Good morning!

Last night I was working on this fairy that I've had for a while now but I hadn't trimmed it. I don't know why I don't do it when I first get my stamps..... I need to get better with that. This one is a retired gray Rubber Stamp but it may have been re-made into clear or revamped I'm not sure.  I found  a photo of the insert online so you can see how it looked on the shop. I also took a picture of a fraction of the mess I had created while trimming and coloring this fairy. No, It's not cute but when I get most creative the results for my desk are spread out and messy. At the end I might start a new coloring with the same pencils or markers or I'll put everything away and start fresh.

The Flowers are from Not2Shabby Shop (I just colored them a little),
The corner Snowflake die is from LaLa Land Crafts,
and the Oval dies are from Spellbinders and from Avery Elle.
The paper is from Doodlebug Design

 close-up
I used Sakura gel pens for some of the shimmer
I also used iridescent Chunky Glitter from Recollections.

Here's some of my kreative mess
These are most of the Copic makers, a Copic Multiliner, a Sakura Gelly Roll,
a Uni-ball Signo Angelic, and one Prismacolor pencil

Here is how the stamp set looks (only mine is lavender)

I used Kraftin' Kimmie's September Sketch

I hope you liked my card.

Thank you for stopping by.
