Hello Crafty Peeps!

I colored up another one of the fairwees from Sweet November Stamps this one is called
Mia's Confetti. You can tell she's the life of the party with her expression and pose. She is full of life and happiness. I colored her up with Polychromos color pencils and I used some Distress Oxides for the background.

Here's a little excerpt of her: "Mia is a wee little ball of energy zooming in a showering everyone with a burst of sparkling fairy dust and colorful confetti!

Another reason Mia is so happy is because Kelly over at 7 Kids Crafts is having a nice sale,

7 Kids Crafts: Cupcake Cutie

Hello Everyone!

It feels like I've been gone from my craft room forever even though only a week has passed by.  I did do a couple live crafty videos while out of town for 7 Kids Customer's Create!  and I was a nervious wreck. LOL If you have watched them let me know what you think and I'm open to suggestions because I am still learning.

On to my card, I wanted to make sure I colored her up pretty big without cropping her. I knew that while I was going to be out of town I was going to use my Polychromos pencils so I printed her on Kraft paper. I kept this card pretty clean and simple because I wanted to put details on her face and the whip frosting of the cupcake. Isn't Josie adorable?! When I looked at her I imaged her with dimples. At first I was a little sketchy on how it was turning out but as I kept coloring it came out alright, I think.

Summer/Beach Swap Card

Hello Everyone,

This card is for a swap buddy in Florida, so I wanted to create a beach scene using the image that was sent to us by Ann Kelly from Stamp AnnietThing.  I've done several cards with beach scenes before but the waves here were totally inspired by Amy Young's latest beach cards. My daughter has a similar hat but I actually took the color inspiration from multicolored hat I saw online.

I used Copic markers to color entire image but I did add a little color pencil on the eyes to make her blue eyes stand out. I added uni-ball Signo Angelic to the eyes and to the foam details at the edge of the shore. At the end I drew in some flying birds (but don't look too closely... heehee) I chose this hair and skin color because I wanted the little chibi to sort of look like her. :D

Thank you very much Ann for the free digi stamp and
for having this little swap.

7 Kids Crafts: The Fragrance of a Rose

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are all having so much fun as I am, with these gorgeous Summer Garden ladies Sweet November Stamps. You can find these sweet images at 7 Kids Crafts.

If you checked out the links above you would have noticed that there are several lovely Summer Garden lady fae in this collection as well as a lots of add-ons to fill in a background or foreground.

A little bit on this card. I wanted to play with Rose Fae again only I wanted to give her some bright colors. Her eyes are already so mesmerizing but I wanted to give her some blue eyes and blonde hair. She has a beautiful red rose as a crown and a bud growing out of her hand. I meant to draw a long stem but I got carried away with coloring her dress and now the bud looks like it's growing out of her hand, but I suppose it still works.

A little excerpt on Sweet November - Rose Fae:

First along the garden path is Rose. Everyone knows that Rose is the queen of the summer garden, her beautiful blooms standing tall and proud above all the other flowers. She is as sweet as the fragrance of her flowers and even more lovely than an entire bouquet.

For this image I kept thinking she looked like a mixture of Snow White, Rapunzel and even Elsa from Frozen. After I colored her hair black I was thinking I should have colored her hair blonde instead... but maybe for another card right? I used Polychromos on Kraft paper to color her up but I didn't press very hard or tried to burnish to keep the soft look.

Here you can see some of the shimmer on the sheer fabric of her dress.
I know it's a little hard to see the shimmer with my lighting.

Polychromos:
White, Warm Grey II, Warm Grey IV, Black

7 Kids Crafts: You've been in my thoughts

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome to the Summer Garden by release Sweet November Stamps over at 7 Kids Crafts. The design team has some really beautiful cards to share and I really enjoyed coloring this month's release. Because these images have many details I really wanted to use my colored pencils to give them justice. I am sure that anyone can color them beautifully with markers or other mediums but for my ability I wanted to use pencils. I get a little more control using colored, plus I hadn't used mine in a while. I wanted to use only Polychromos pencils but I didn't realize that I grabbed a couple of Prismacolor pencils as well.... shows my organization heehee but I did like the colors when I laid them down on Kraft Cardstock..

August 1st and 2nd there will be a Sweet November Summer Garden Bundle Deal Just click the link for the special price.

If you checked out the link you'll notice that there are several lovely Summer Garden lady fae in this collection.

Here is an excerpt of Sweet November - Gerbera Daisy Fae:

Next along the garden path the happy Gerbera Daisy Fae welcomes all with a cheery disposition that matches the flowers she so loves. There is a happiness in this corner of the garden that is completely irresistible. One can't help but smile as you watch the daisies sway and dance atop their long stems and Gerbera Daisy dancing right along with them.

To create my card I use 4 different sets listed below:

I used lots of colors to color my image.

7 Kids Crafts: Day Dreaming

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are all having so much fun as I am, with these gorgeous Summer Garden ladies Sweet November Stamps. You can find these sweet images at 7 Kids Crafts.

August 1st and 2nd there will be a Sweet November Summer Garden Bundle Deal Just click the link for the special price.

Sweet November - Peony Fae
Sweet November - Rose Fae
Sweet November - Dahlia Fae
Sweet November - Gerbera Daisy Fae

Plus lots more  add-ons

A little excerpt on Sweet November - Peony Fae:

"Finally we come to the beds of peonies at the end of the garden and resting among her blossoms is Peony Fae herself. This dreamy little Fae is a bit of a romantic and much like the frills and ruffles of the petals on her flowers she loves all things girly and pretty."

For this image I kept thinking she looked very dreamy and she had a vintage vibe going on so I wanted to color her in grey tone but with a pop of color. I used Polychromos on Kraft paper to color her up but I didn't press very hard or tried to burnish to keep the soft look.

I love the way Amy Young drew her with a big natural afro and her big Peony flower on her head looks like a very large fascinator, you know like the ladies from church wear.

I am using Sweet November - Peony Fae (cropped)

Here you can see some of the shimmer on her sleeves.
I know it's a little hard to see the shimmer with my lighting.

Polychromos:
White, Warm Grey II, Warm Grey IV, Black
Dark Flesh, Dark Cadmium Yellow, Chrome Oxide Green

Wow! That was probably one of my shortest complete color lists
I have besides when I color sepia. LOL

Distress Oxide:
Pumice Stone, Black Soot
