Fluffy Bunny - Conejito Pelucita

Hello and happy weekend!

Today I'm showing a card I created for my mother. My mother grew up taking care of many animals  she has always had chickens, parrots, pigs, cows and horses among other critters. When I was a young child I remember having rabbits and turtles too. To this day my mom still has lots of chickens and a bunny. She had a very soft white bunny named Capullo (pronounced Kah-poo-yo)
but it went under the fence and she never found it again... now she has one that my baby named Henrietta. Henrietta is sort of grayish brown color and my kids love being around her especially my youngest daughter Daenerys.

I created this card using the stamp Melanie - Need a Hug. I felt this was the perfect image to make a card my mom and color Melanie as my daughter and no she doesn't have purple hair but I'm sure she wouldn't mind that. LOL

I used Copic markers to color her.
I came up with this purple hair combo which is one of my favorites to use
V04, V06, V09 and V17
For the bunny I used E70, W0, W1, W3, and a very tiny bit amount of W5.
The paper is from Wild Rose Studio and it's called Blackberry Lane
and I printed the poem on top.

The poem/song is from a Spanish Gatorade commercial called "Conejito Pelucita" which translates to Fluffy Bunny but I'm not sure who wrote the poem.... It's a really cute though!

Here is a close-up of my coloring and paper piecing.

Thank you for looking.

Have a wonderful day.

Make a Splash - Audrina with MiC

      Hello Crafty friends,

Katya Bess, here and I'm showing you a card I made with
As I sat here and thought to myself,
"Hmmm what colors should I use today?"
I have some "go-to" colors but I try not color the same
all of the time since I like to challenge myself
the only problem is, this method
takes longer than usual to finish- although very fun
and relaxing it's still time consuming.
So some strategies I have for myself is to choose one
of these: chose realistic colors, go monochromatic, pick
analogous colors (which means colors that are next to each other in the color wheel)
or I go with complimentary colors (colors opposite to each other)
and sometimes not exactly the opposite but still complimentary
(colors that are analogous to the complimentary color.)
I hope I didn't confuse you. :P

So, since I chose this lime green hair I chose a purpley
mermaid tail with various pinks... I don't know
I think it goes together okay...
I was going to go with a bluish or greenish hue
for the skin and then thought we have been
having blackouts because of the storm here in the Bay Area. LOL
This is how I also chose my coloring... the weather and upcoming events.
(haha yea don't laugh)

Alright... too much rambling on my behalf
here is my card...

Audrina - Make a Splash  was so much fun to color!
Since it was raining so much all I could think about was
WATER and I chose to color a little mermaid for you all. :)

The ocean floor is a rubber stamp called
Sandy Seafloor Rubber Stamp from Make It Crafty
but I actually got it from The Stamp Room, one of my
favorite small business crafty shops but
it's closing down :( Make sure you stop by Kina's shop
to give her some support- her customer service is AMAZING!

The scalloped die is Fancy Frame Dies from Craftin Desert Divas
The white rectangle die is  Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More
From My Creative Time.

I chose Copic BG01 for the water making sure
that I gave it at least 3 coats- that is very important so it doesn't look
too streaky and doesn't really matter if it doesn't look
completely the same color since some areas will touch and
it will have more that 3 coats, it is under water after all and
water is constantly in motion and reflects lights and shadows in different directions.

Now for the bubbles you wants to use a much lighter color
I chose Copic B000, this sort of bleaches some of the color out
but not completely... just draw some random circles and fill them in
and they don't have to be perfect
in fact, making them a little more wonky will make them somewhat realistic.
Lastly where ever your light source is coming from you want to use
the Copic Blender (Copic 0) and highlight and finalize that water bubble look -
I chose my light to come from the left and
I don't always follow light source since light is tricky but I try.

I hope you get to try it out some day with this cutie.
Here is a closer look at her and the subtle water bubbles too. :)
I used one of my favorite pens - Sakura Clear Star Gellyroll
to give her some sparkle on her star and the pearls on her hair.
I used Copic Opaque White to highlight her eyes
I don't know why I keep using the brush it comes with
I made a big glob on her eye and had to make the eye-lights
different than I normally do. LOL

I usually don't talk this much in person...
(just in my crazy head. LOL)

I hope you have a lovely weekend
enjoy it to the max!!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Abigail - Lucky friend

Hello Crafty Friends,

Katya Bess here with a little card I made using Abigail - Glad We're Friends.

I wanted to create a scene expressing the little sentiment on the card
and also a theme for the month of March.
Abigail looks so cute with her pigtails sitting on the "floor" so I decided
to sit her out in a field of grass and flowers.
I stamped her first, then I masked her with "stamping mask paper"
from Inkadinkado. It's simple and much cleaner than with masking fluid,
after that I stamped the background, lastly I colored her up.
Then I realized I wanted to draw a little four leaf clover on the grass.
Very easy to create a full scene.

I chose a contrasting color to the grass like a red shirt and a red layer
but it doesn't look Christmasy.

some of the Copic markers used:
E33, E99, E97 and YR24
R17, R27 and R29
G07, G09 and YG67
B0000, B000 and B01

stamps used:
Abigail - Glad We're Friends
I'm a Lucky Girl Stamp & Die
Magnolia Cling Stamp called Chasing Butterflies Background

The dies are from:
My Creative Time Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More
I'm a Lucky Girl Stamp & Die
Craftin Desert Divas Fancy Frame Dies
Here is a close-up of Abigail - Glad We're Friends
the background and the little four leaf clover I hand-drew.
There are a few more details on my blog.

I hope you liked it
and I hope you have a fabulous weekend.

Here is the project I made for today!

Here Kelsey looks very sweet on top of a toadstool.
I chose to color the toadstool like the ones I see in our front yard.

Markers: Copic
Dies: Fancy Frame Dies I just cropped to fit my image and
I had a different plan in my head for this image but
perhaps another day... I will create a night scene.
I made little sparkles with a white pen
used Sakura Clearstar Jellyroll and some Wink of Stella
for some of the headdress to add a little sparkle
The papers were from Doodlebug Designs
(I NEED more of that paper ASAP... aaaahhh running very low. LOL )

Here is a close-up of the coloring.
I hope you like the image and my coloring too. :P

`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Here is the project I made for today!

After I colored her hair all I could think about is
the movie Pretty In Pink
with Andie and reddish hair so I colored her
little dress pink. LOL
The paper is from Doodlebug Design: Hello Sunshine 6x6 pad
the card base is from Recollections and the flowers
were from Michael's - I cut those off and hot-glued
them on to the card in from of the
La La Land Crafts Heart Fence die.

I added little freckles with a Sepia Copic Multiliner

Julie will be available in the STORE Friday!

Thanks for joining us for our March Release

Danielle is ready for Springtime

Hi and welcome to Day #1 of Stamp Anniething's March release!
Who's done with winter and ready for Spring?  We are!!!
Meet our newest stamp,

Danielle will be available in the store Friday along with the other 2 stamps we will be showing  you  this week!!
`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Here is the project I made for today!

Isn't she so flippin' adorable? :P I had so much fun
coloring Danielle with her little cute polkadot skirt
she looks just like a little ladybug herself. :)
I bought a flower spray from Michael's last year
and I just plucked out some of the flowers and
hot-glued them on. I tried to match the pink of
the skirt and scarf with the flowers.
The papers are from DoodleBug (which I need to buy MORE of.)
hmmm the adorable fence die is from La-La land Crafts
and it's called "Heart Fence."
I took the hearts that popped out of the fence and
created a butterfly with the heart negatives.
the hill is from Avery Elle.
The tiny bushes behind her were a freebie I got
from Our Daily Bread Designs but I think
it's a border die.

Here is a close-up of the adorable Danielle.
I hope you get her ASAP and have
as much as fun as I did coloring her up.

She will be available in the STORE Friday!

Thanks for joining us for our March Release
 and have a great day!
