Here is what I created with Glitter!

I wanted to create a fun bookmark for my 10 year old daughter
Jade Bess she also has a crafty blog http://writteninjade.blogspot.com/ :)
I used Rosie Fair as well as the sentiment that came with it.
The little magical stars are actually from one of the new releases
Kick Ass Birthday  I used Distress Ink Broken China for the background sky
then I also stamped the stars with Distress Inks Broken China
to give the background a magical look.
I used Copic Markers to color my image

Check out those glittery wings and stars!I love it! :D
For Glitter I used Spectrum Noir Sparkle Glitter Brush pens for the
wings and skirt. For the Stars I used Sakura Gellyroll Stardust Clear Pen.
For the gold necklace, wraps on her wrists and waist I used a new
pen I recently found at Michael's and it's called Uni-Ball Impact Gold.
The gold pen pools a little so I used it sparingly and I manipulated it a
corner of a tiny scratch paper .
Since it this is a book mart I wanted to make sure the glitter didn't rub off
so I used some Stampendous! Stampin' Stuff Embossing Powder:
Star Dust Transparent and hit that with an embossing/heat gun I found at
Michael's. Oh yea, even the ribbon looks glittery because of it's iridescence.
Here is how I embossed it since I didn't have yellow glitter paper.
It's a cheater method... LOL

LMMS: Vega Rise Above and Shine

Today I'm showcasing a card I using Polka Dot Pals Vega

I used Kraft Cardstock and to start off I used
Copic markers. To brighten up the eyes, background,
star and skin I used a little Prismacolor over the Copic marker.
(Not a good idea to do it the other way around
if you want to keep a good Copic brush any. I Actually purchased a Prismacolor
colorless marker to blend/melt away Prismacolor Pencil wax but I hardly ever use it.)

It's a little hard to see but I added a little bit of Sakura GellyRoll Metallic Gold
to line the inside of the star that PDP Vega is holding. I then added some
Glossy Accents to the star to give it a
little shine and emphasis to whomever looks at the card in person.
Another part I like to focus on especially with the
Polka Dot Pal images is the big beautiful eyes.
I used a White Prismacolor to color the sclera (aka whites of the eyes)
then go in with the Black Prismacolor pencil to line and highlight
the eyes, eyelashes, and eyebrows. I used a little bit of PC 947
and a little more with PC 945 to define the her facial features such as:
jaw line, chin, sides of cheekbones, hairline, temples, eye crease, sides of nose
and a little for shadowing the ears, hands and legs.
When I was done coloring her face I went in with
Uni-Ball Signo Angelic White pen for the eyelights.

For the background I used Distress Inks:
Evergreen Bough and Black Soot
then I used a PC1011 PDP Vega to illuminate the area around her.

Then I added little stars all around with my Uni-Ball Signo Angelic White pen
when I was done just for a little more interest.

The clear stamp sentiment and square die is from My Creative Time.
The scalloped die is from Craftin' Dessert Divas

LMMS: Kaari butterfly

Hello there!

I'm back with another Inspiration Thursday card for Little Miss Muffet Stamps. Today I had a little fun working with Polka Dot Pals Kaari digi stamp plus a Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces clear stamp and The Corner Park Background. The I had started coloring some of the Polka Dot Pals Kaari image for Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Marker challenge and I finally finished coloring it. When Barbara, artist and owner of Little Miss Muffet Stamps posted the The Corner Park Background, I was inspired to color and add PDP Kaari to create a scene. I was undecided on the sentiment so for now.

I used Copic markers to color her up.
For the eyes and wing details I used a
Uni-ball Signo Angelic White pen as well as a Yellow Sakura Gelly Roll.
and I was inspired by the colors of a Monarch butterfly.
Another reason I was inspired is because someone I know
is moving; not very far away but she rented the same home for
close to 30 years... sometimes even though we may not want to
change is necessary. The situation is very sad and frustrating at the same time.
She will have to downsize immensely, travel further for work
and leave or give away most of her precious plants.
For that and many other reasons I wanted to make her a card to cheer her up
during this difficult transition.

I specifically chose these images: because of the butterfly and the outdoor scene .

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

Hey there welcome back to my blog for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps' March Peek Day 3 and Release Party.

The Prismacolors I used to color both dinosaurs are actually the same.
They are actually like a negative image of each other like they way I see a black and white photo and black
and white film strip. I'm not sure how to explain myself. LOL
Basically I used the same colors but in a different amount.
All colors listed below are used on both dinosaurs.

Prismacolor Premier Pencils:
PC915, PC1002, PC921, PC1033, PC902, PC903
and PC935 to outline the black lines to make them stand out again.
I used a little bit of the Uni-Ball Signo Angelic for the eyelights
and for the frosting on the cupcake.
Oh yea! I also used PC109 and PC911 for the tall grass.

The Mini Distress Inks
Fossolized Amber, Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade,
Mowed Lawn, Gathered Twigs
and lightly with Black Soot all  around the edges.
I did go a little heavier with the Black Soot above
the sentiment to dim down the brightness and bring eyes/attention back to the
sentiment and dinosaurs.

Both of the layering dies are from

I hope you liked this card as well as the previous peeks.

Don't forget to hop along to see what the rest of the
Krafty Krew + Krafty Guests have Kreated.  :D

Thank you for stopping by.

_________________________________________________________________________________________

Hey there! So here is my take on this Birthday Bianca. Isn't she just
so fabulous! Love this image!
I've been listening to Melanie Martinez music on iTunes but I was
inspired by her music video Pity Party.
I gave her the two-tone hair, the gap in her teeth, sat her on an antique couch similar to her video. LOL
I had so much fun creating this scene. Of course she isn't crying though. haha
I think I will do more coloring inspired by Melanie Martinez style.
Then I felt like there was too much of a white background so I colored in a wall color with
Y23 and used Distress Ink to antique the edges.
Then I tried to do a wooden floor... I think I should have used guidelines or at least a ruler...
Either way I had loads of fun recreating a scene from a music video without the tears. LOL

I hope you liked my card.

Don't forget to hop on to see more inspiration from all of the Krafty Peeps on the inlinkz lineup.

_______________________________________________________________________________________

Hi there! Back again with an inspiration card for Kraftin' Kimmie as March Guest Designer.
When I saw these I was really excited to use these sentiments.
Here is the first card I have created with one of the sentiments from the Kick Assy Birthday set. :P

I used Distress Inks for the background
and a Uni-Ball Signo Broad White pen to create a galaxy scene.
The rectangle die is from My Creative Time and the balloon dies
are from C.C. Designs.

I decided to keep it sort of simple to focus on the sentiment but still have plenty of color
for some interest. For me CAS cards are a little challenging but I love adding lots of colors anyway.
Since I used Black Soot for  the edges and in between some of the bright colors I wanted to
give it a high contrast with a white card base and used white paper to stamp the sentiment and make it stand out as well.

I chose this stamp from the set because it gave me a little giggle and
it's perfect for my older crafty friends. LOL You can use it for whomever you'd like but my crafty friends are the ones that came to mind first- one in particular knows I like to mess
with her on her birthday cards. :P

Here is the full set

LMMS: Polka Dot Pal Temoc Cheer!

Good morning Everyone!

Welcome back to another Inspiration Thursday! A new challenge starts over at Little Miss Muffet Stamp Challenges. For the next 14th days you can link your creations to the inlinkz list for a chance to win a $10.00 gift voucher to the Little Miss Muffet Stamp Shop.

Little Miss Muffet Stamps is also holding a Guest Design Team Call for a 6 month term. Just click here for the Guest Designer requirements. Deadline is March 17, 2018.

For today's card I used digi Polka Dot Pal Temoc and combined it with one of the clear stamps from Polka Dot Pals Add-On Faces.
I colored up Polka Dot Pal Temoc with the Golden State Warriors (formerly known as The Oakland Warriors.) Is it bad that I don't know if it's basketball season... Is it? But if it is... Go Warriors!!! LOL I know that it's not football season anymore though. haha I was thinking I should color her as an Oakland Raiderette but maybe next time I use PDP Temoc I will. heehee Some of my friends
might want me to color up a Goldrush Cheerleader. :P

Hey Everyone!

I'm delighted to say that for the month of March I will be guest designing for Kraftin' Kimmie!  Yay!
For my first card, in honor of Dr. Seuss Day, I decided to color up a cute little stamp called Happiness Is Reading. I love the cute little images Cheryl Grant creates for Kraftin' Kimmie so my collection is slowly but surely getting bigger. While we were at Bible Club and since it's not at our own school, I stay with them but tucked in a little corner and sometimes I take a little nap but usually I spend my time coloring. This time I decided to pull out my Prismacolor Pencils again.
t has been raining a lot but the sun decided to come out for a bit so I decided to take another shot with some natural light.
Here is a close-up.

My Prismacolor Recipe is:
PC947, PC945, PC997, PC1013, PC929, PC140
PC908, PC909, PC913
PC925, PC924, PC923
PC915, PC942, PC917
PC903, PC208
PC1102, PC933, PC208
PC935, PC1099, PC1058, PC1060, PC938

Distress Ink:

LMMS: Toby It's a Super Big Day

Hey there!

Today I'm worked on a boy card, I was specifically thinking about one my nephews when I colored rubber stamp Polka Dot Pals Toby. I used Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces clear stamp as well to give him his expression. I really liked that PDP Toby has curly hair like my nephew, he's in his play clothes and in a homemade cape. I like that he looks playful and in super hero mode. I was thinking about how my brother takes him to him on B.A.R.T. rides a lot and he gets to see Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland and San Francisco city skylines on their way home after day care /and after work. My nephew gets excited about all of the people and action he gets to see but also city scapes with the sunset colors on The Bay.

I used the sentiment called Big Day Tobie from Some Odd Girl Stamps, the Make A Card #7 die set from C.C. Designs, and the cityscape is called Super 2 from Paper Smooches, the card rectangle layers dies are from My Creative Time. I colored Polka Dot Pals Toby with Copic markers and I used Distress Inks for the sunset background.

Copic Markers:
E04, E11, E13, E21, R30
E25, E15, Y19, Uniball Angelic White.
W9, W7, W5, E25
R24, R29, R39
B21, B45, B95, B97
G07, G09, G28
Y19

Mini Distress Inks:
For the background layer I started with Distress Inks: Fossilized Amber at the bottom working my way up, from the very top I used Abandoned Coral working my way down towards Fossilized Amber. Then in between the first two colors I used Spiced Marmalade to blend them out. Lastly I used a very light amount of Black Soot on the top and bottom edges and an even tinier amount on the sides. I really enjoy using Distress Inks to give color for backgrounds I can't wait for more colors. I really need to do inventory because there might be more colors out there that I'm missing out on. Oh yea I really need to buy Re-inkers for them too.

I cut up two sets of the Super 2, Paper Smooches die set and just lined and trimmed them to extend the cityscape and fit the card size. After fussy cutting Polka Dot Pals Toby I made sure to place him to cover up the edges where it was more obvious that I joined the two sets of dies.

The reason I used the squiggly comic speech bubble is because I made a mistake with the stamps. I really meant to stamp part of the Some Odd Girl sentiment, add the super die cut and then the rest of the Some Odd Girl stamp....on the background but somehow my paper got stuck to the stamp and the paper lifted bit [insert internal whine face here. LOL] and the I got an offset stamped section where I didn't want it. So after digging around since I had no time to start another background and cut up more cityscapes I found a way to block it with that big comic speech bubble die from CC Designs that also has the "Super" die cut. Sometimes super hero's don't have capes... sometimes they are in paper form and die cuts to block the bad stamping away. Haha In the end I liked that it gave it more of a small child comic book feel. I think I'm going to play with that die set a little more now.

See my crafty mess... looking over to my desk and there is still a bunch of things I need to put away so that I can start on a new card or project.

Also check out Little Miss Muffet Stamps on Amazon... Whaaaaat?!
I know some people that ONLY do their online shopping with Amazon.
BUT if you're like me, I like to go to the artist's main site which is here:
and don't forget about the challenges (Always ~ Anything Goes!)
