7 Kids Crafts: Crafty Box

Happy Saturday Crafty Friends,

Today is the kick-off of a month long birthday celebration. Not only it's Kelly Neis' birthday but it's also the 7 Kids Crafts Store 4th anniversary. Tracy Young from the Sweet November team designed a stamp just for the celebration and it will be free in the shop. Thank you Tee for your contribution.
I also, used the Corner Room Scene Builder digital stamp set by Sweet November Stamps - this set is so versatile, you can use it for almost any room in a house.

Since it's a celebration month there will be lots of fun games, freebies, discounts, free shipping that you don't want to miss if you were planning on buying some crafty items.

When I first saw this image I thought it would be fun to create a card for someone who just received their new home. The sentiment I created myself as congratulations and because we know how fun moving, packing and unpacking is. (sarcasm) LOL

Sweet November Stamps: Cats rule in our home

Hello Crafty Friend,

Today I am happy to announce that I am guest designing again for Sweet November Stamps. The images that I used today are called: Cats Rule - Alex and Oso as well as Cats Rule - Camilla and Dulce. As soon as I saw the images, I knew I wanted to pair them up with this die set I just ordered from 7 Kids Crafts called Slim Window Dressing - Creative Cuts by Mama Elephant. I wanted to create a cute little house for a family or siblings that love cats. I pictured Alex laying on a plushy pillow with his cat Oso by the window getting warmed by the sun. Outside on the lawn is Camilla petting the friendly neighborhood cat named Dulce. To make the home look even more playful I decided to use Doodlebug papers. This little family loves cats so much that even the yellow wallpaper in their home has a repeated cat silhouette design. heehee

Here is a close-up

Thank you to the Sweet November Stamps team for letting me play with these fun images. :D

7 Kids Crafts: Beary Merry Christmas

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you're having a lovely day. Today I decided to work on a Christmas card using this 'beary' sweet stamp. You can find a wide selection of Dreamerland Crafts stamps here.
This Dreamerland Crafts stamp is called Beary Merry Christmas, the die is called Snowy Sky Scene Die by Hello Bluebird and the snowflake paper is called Winter Wonderland by Doodlebug Designs and the sentiment is by The Greeting Farm, Secret Santa stamp kit. To give the snow some depth I used Distress Oxide Speckled Egg. If you shop at 7 Kids Crafts use this code at checkout for a special discount:  GRSWYCSUFB

7 Kids Crafts: Many Thanks

Hello Everyone,

I think I'm getting hooked on making slimeline cards, they are perfect for cash, for a check or just to write a long-winded message like I like doing sometimes. heehee For my card I wanted to make it look vintagey (I know that can't be a real word) but with a pop of color. I colored the Stamping Bella Daisy Squidgy with Caran D'Ache Water-soluble colored pencils. On top of the dried watersoluble color pencil/watercoloring, I then used a little bit of Polychromos to add depth. The slimline die is by Mama Elephant called Creative Cuts, Slim Card Basics. The letters that form the word "many" come from the Altenew set that I've been hoarding for a while called Tall Alpha die.

7 Kids Crafts: Make Waves

Hello Everyone! I hope you're having a fantastic day.

Today I worked on a card featuring this pretty mermaid by Maria Medel who has done these stamps exclusively for 7 Kids Crafts Store. This set is called Making Waves. I colored her with Karin Brushmarker Pro and a little bit of Polychromos. The Slim Card Basics die is by Mama Elephant. There are also some fun slimline dies by Whimsy Stamps in the store.

When I think about Slim Line cards I always think about money envelopes so I think
they would be a fun way to give a cash or check as a gift.

7 Kids Crafts: Purrrfect Friends

Hello Everyone!

Happy Saturday and welcome to blog. Today I wanted to work on a Clean and Simple card because I wanted to focus on the pretty kitty girl. Just like a card I created last month I gave her a cheetah print to give interest to her shirt and ears. This Purrrfect Friends set is available in both digi and clear stamp. For the digi click here: Purrrfect Friends digi and for the clear stamp set click here: Purrrfect Friends clear. I have both and love the different ways you can use them.

Last month I had been hospitalized and I had a people that prayed for me and some took the time to write me or send me cards. This card will be one that I send out to one of those that sent me a card. The image was colored with Copic makers. For the eyes and the shoelaces I used a white gellyroll pen. The die is from Craftin' Desert Divas.

Sweet November Guest DT - Tide Mayfin

Hello Everyone!

I'm excited Sweet November has launched their own website and also asked me to guest DT for their opening release. The newest stamp in the shop is called Tide Mayfin, you can use her with or without the little fish. I decided to use Tide Mayfin with the little fish because I wanted to create a Teacher Appreciation card. During the Quarantine the classes have been on zoom and have different classroom times, some are the entire class, some days small groups and some days one on one. Tide Mayfin looks so happy with the little school of fish swimming around her that I was inspired to make a teacher card with her.

I colored her up with Polychromos and the background with a marker to cover the base. I tried to keep the most detail on the mermaid and the little school of fish by coloring with bright and cheerful colors.

7 Kids Crafts: Annie and Sandy

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are having a lovely day. Here I'm sharing a card with the latest Sweet November Stamps release, this digital stamp is called: Coco and Pebble. The sentiment is from Penny Black Stamps.

When I first saw this image I was inspired by the hair and I had a few ideas in mind for her. One of the scenes I wanted to re-create was one from the 1982 movie called Annie. In the scene Annie beats up on some boys messing with a street dog, later they end up being great pals and she names him Sandy. I love that after rescuing him she says that she only did what any decent human being would have done. I resonate with that scene because I dislike when injustices are happening and nothing gets done. Another reason I like this scene was that all of the pets I've ever owned have been rescued from the street... oh yeah and the part that she sucker punches that one boy- that was too funny. hehe

Don't look too closely at the alleyway...
I just wanted to fill the scene with color and show where
the event took place. I also drew the garbage can, the wood pallet,
the food cans (that the boys had tied to Sandy's tail.)

Colored up the entire image with
Copic markers.

Another this I wanted to mention is that there are
new clear stamps and dies released at

7 Kids Crafts: Journaling Mochi Girl

Hello Everyone!

Hoping you've had a lovely day. Just sharing the card I created using this lovely Journaling Mochi Girl by StampingBella. I love how serene she looks journaling in her lovely and feminine space. The sentiment set is also from StampingBella and it's called Mochi Girl Sentiment Set eb938 that I stamped with VersaFine Clair Tulip Red. I loved framing her space by fussy cutting papers by Mintay Papers called Love Letters. It's a new brand that Kelly is carrying in the store so there are lots to chose from. For a slightly more vintage effect I distressed some of the edges of the Mintay Papers that I fussy cut.

Here's the card. :D

7 Kids Crafts: Anything Goes ATC Jan 2020

Hello Everyone,

Hoping all is well and that you are getting artsy and crafty. These are the Artist Trading Cards I started a while ago and just had them unfinished. I was delighted to read that 7 Kids Crafts was going to have an "Anything Goes" theme so I happily finished them up. Oh what a happy feeling to finish up old projects. The little Lavinia door stamp is called Fairy Door Large. I also use other small stamps from The Greeting Farm, C.C. Designs and from Studio Light to add to the scene or background. The little fairy inside is a vault image from Sweet November that I shrank to fit inside of the little fairy door.

All of the little doors open and close to reveal a little Sweet November fairy.
I am sure you can try it out with one of the tiny Lavinia stamps but I don't have any
that are really small.

I hope you like these Artist Trading Cards.
I am so excited to see which ones I get back. :D

7 Kids Crafts: Love Letters

Hello Everyone!

I've been having so much fun with The Greeting Farm stamps and Doodlebug Designs papers and Odds & Ends. This The Greeting Farm stamp is called: Miss Anya Samoyed and the Doodlebug Designs are from the Love Notes collection. The Mama Elephant die is called FT- Artist Mat

I'm loving that I can use these papers plus the odd & ends for Valentine's, thinking of you, but also Spring or any time type of card that is cheerful and fun. I colored her up with Copic markers and I wanted her outfit and hair to match the little envelopes on the paper.

This stamp set is by The Greeting Farm and it's called Miss Anya Buckles. Because of MLK Day and Black History month approaching I wanted to color someone of African Decent and create these braids. I like to see more variations in coloring skin and hair.

The cutting dies are from Avery Elle and the background inks are Distress Oxides.

7 Kids Crafts: I Heart U Anya

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are all doing well. With this card I was thinking of all of the flowers that are given at this time, especially roses. I got this Doodlebug Designs paper at 7 Kids Crafts store from the Love Notes collections. This collection works well with Valentine's theme, Spring, Birthday or other occasions- they are some really pretty papers to work with. The stamp is from The Greeting Farm called I Heart U Anya that I've had since last year and I don't think I colored her up until now. You know when you get stamps that you have to have?! LOL Well it was definitely time to color her. Then I ordered some dies, one is called Love You also from The Greeting Farm and a new company in the store called Poppystamps by Memory Box, the die I got is called Whittle Birds. These cute birds are the perfect size to pair with I Heart U Anya and they didn't even need to be colored...

Copic markers used:
W9, W7, W5
N0, N4,
R27, R17, R05, R30
RV55, RV52
E0000, E000, E01, E11, R21, R20

Wish You A Beautiful Day

Hello Everyone!

I had so much fun trying Kathy Racoosin's Coloring Challenge Road Trip (online edition.) Some techniques I've already done just by the number of years playing with these mediums and some were new. I tried to follow her instruction as much as possible and I love what I came up with in the end. The stamp I used is from Waffle Flower Crafts called Peony Bouquet, which I've been hoarding for a while but I had courage to stamp it out because of Kathy's suggestions in being fearless.

Day: One

7 Kids Crafts: I love you in so many ways

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I'm sharing a card made with two sets from the latest Penny Black Inc release, make sure to grab some of these cute stamps sets at 7 Kids Crafts Store while supplies last. For this somewhat simple card I used: Penny Black IncTake Me Away and Penny Black Inc: Love Language.

To color these cute bears that are floating away via balloons I first used a Spectrum Noirs as a base and then added shading details with color pencils. I wanted the teddy bears to sort of represent my hubby and I so I made one dark brown and one lighter brown.

Take Me Away and Love Language

I used both Polychromos and Prismacolor pencils.
Polychromos:
Burnt Umber, Caput Mortuum, Black, Burnt Ochre, Dark Red,
Fhuchsia, Rose Carmine, Cold Grey VI
the sky was done lightly with Light Ultramarine
Prismacolor:
Sienna Brown
Uni-ball Signo White Angelic

Although I stamped my sentiment with my Misti I did not realize that my ink was kind of dry and attempted to go over it several times but my image shifted and had to go over the font with a gel pen.

I hope you like the card even though I messed it up with how my sentiment came out.

7 Kids Crafts: You're TuTu Sweet

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are all having a nice day. I know it's not Christmas but Nutcracker performances are still going strong. In anticipation for the Penny Black stamps and dies to arrive from 7 Kids Crafts, I decided to use one of the Penny Black stamp sets drawn by Mo Manning that I already had. Isn't this stamp tutu cute? heehee I definitely need to make more cards with her and the other cute stamps from the same set. I decided to pair it with some Graphic 45 8x8 clippings from the Nutcracker Sweet Collection.

Penny Black - tutu sweet
Graphic 45 -Nutcracker Sweet Collection

I colored this sweet little ballerina with Copic markers
but added a little shading with pencils.
The oval die is from Spellbinders which I used a little bit of distress ink
to the background. The tutu sweet sentiment comes with the set
and I used VersaFine CLAIR: Rain Forest so that
it compliments some of the green in the background details.

I hope you liked the card and I
hope that you can grab some
Graphic 45 papers and Penny Black stamps and dies
