Hi Everyone!

Hope you all are having an awesome day.

This is not a new project (I colored her up around May but sent it around June- yes I'm horrible about sending cards on time working on that) but wanted to share anyway. One of our bloggy friend's sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and is still battling with the effects of it. A bunch of us from the Simply Betty Fan group sent her cards Using Simply B's image.

This particular one is called "Cindy for the Cause."

I enlarged her and cropped her out then added the sentiment to the shirt.

I colored my image with Spectrum Noirs.

I hope she liked my card and hope she is doing much better each day.

Thanks for stopping by.

Big or Small Save Them All

Hello All!

Hadn't posted in a while and I had colored up a digi from Simply Betty Stamps but hadn't done anything with it. I knew I wanted to eventually use her on a Breast Cancer Awareness card... just needed a sketch or something since I'm a little challenged.

I used Betty Little Dark Mistress
(which is retired as a digi by the way and is now only sold as rubber)
Papers are by: Anna Griffin

I used a quote I found online
Big or Small Save Them All
I thought it would be awesome to use with this stamp heehee
Thought it was a fun way to show awareness to some that
may want to avoid something as serious getting screened for this cancer.
Some cultures as Hispanic/Latinas I've heard that
may skip getting a mammograms or pap smears
because of being ashamed or fear that the doctor may look or touch in a perverted way
and no I didn't read this online... Growing up friends of my mother or
hearing chit chatter on the bus or street they
would say something along the lines of they went to an appointment
and the doctor wanted to check here or there... and that they will
never let anyone see or touch them there oooooh no how embarrasing.
BUT you can't save them unless you get those things checked out.

Well it's getting late and I have a bunch of things to do tonight and in the morning ugh!

Thank you so much for stopping by... I hope you liked the card.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is around the corner

Hello Crafty friends,

I hope all is well with everyone. Today I have a special card that I worked on using a Robert Jackson digi.
The Inks and Such challenge this week at http://jacksonsdigitalexpressions.blogspot.com/
is use PINK or the Breast Cancer Awareness theme.
Chana along with several other JDE designers have pledge to donate $0.25 to Breast Cancer Research for every entry on this week's challenge. Please post on your blogs, facebook and or twitter let your crafty friends know to join in on the challenge.

Here is my card and envelope to go with the card.
I used Robert Jackson's two digi images
Sunday Hat and Rose

For the envelope I only used the Rose and cut off the stem.
If you are going to use glue such as glossy accents or any wet glue make sure not
to glue it on the flap area with adhesive because it will make it wet enough to seal
the envelope...

I colored with Copic and Spectrum Noir markers.
I used a cuttlebug embossing folder
The Bible verse was printed on regular printer paper. I cut
several pages to add to the 3D look on the book. I used
Spellbinders labels seven (2nd to largest die) I cut the pink
part of the book with the largest die but then it seemed too large
so I trimmed it down with scissors.

I shrank the rose and printed 3 times then cut a few petals
to give it that 3D look.

I hope you enjoyed your visit. Make sure to participate in this week's challenge at
http://jacksonsdigitalexpressions.blogspot.com/
this week's sponsor is at JDE is Bugaboo Stamps.

Remember both women and men get breast cancer.
So I won't say get the "girls" checked (this time). Just make sure to do self exams and get checked
by a professional especially if you have a family history.

Here are some fun Breast Cancer Slogans you can use on your card or project:

Big or Small save them all

A feel a day keeps the doctor away

Thanks for the mammories

Stop the war in my rack!

Feed your faith and your fears will starve to death

Show you care, be aware

Real men wear pink

Have fun making something crafty and thank you so much for visiting.

Thank you & Breast Cancer Cards

Good afternoon,

I completed this card along with the 50th birthday card and a breast cancer card but hadn't had a chance to post all of them on the same day. I used the exact Rose stamp.

I was trying to mix two different reds... I won't next time...
 I pre-dated the card... shhhh don't tell.

And that's the back

For the breast cancer card I used the lacey squares instead. Also, I "messed up" on the cutting with the spellbinders die... but I wasn't going to throw it away- heccccck no! took me a while to color all three sets of roses lol I just cut around the entire flower and separated the bud and budding rose from the big one then popped dot the big rose.

I bought these cute little heart charms that say "Hand Made with Love" but didn't have the baker's twine everyone is using these days... so I just used that skinny ribbon I got on sale from Michael's (a long time ago)

Here's where I popped dotted that rose

Well my friends, I hope you like my cards.
Until later... (last minute working on my hubby's Father's Day card)

Have a good one.

Breast Cancer "Hi" Card

Hello Everyone,

Sorry for not posting anything in a long time. I have been "stalking" blogs or viewing vids instead of creating... I have done some cards (very few) but I hadn't posted them. I'll start with this one. On March 1st of this year my Grandma-in-law had her second breast cancer surgery and I decided to make her a card. I used my daughter Jade's hand again as a stamp. I used pink for the Breast Awareness. Simple card using "Walk in My Garden" flowers and I don't have many fonts besides the one on "Gypsy Font" part of the preloaded Gypsy carts.

It was just a Hi card and to hoping she got well soon from the breast cancer surgery.
Hope you liked it. Thanks for visiting.
