********************************************

Happy Weekend! Here again with a little techie card.
I colored up Brooke Panda and Kelly - Happy
with Copic markers and made a little fake iMessage chat.
Imagine Arya Stark and Sansa Stark as Chibi teenagers...
or College girls living in our day... LOL
They would most likely be on their iPhones calling
or texting each other. They just watched the first
episode of Game of Thrones: Season 6
and here is how the text chat goes.... :P
Arya: OMG OMG OMG!!! Did you watch GoT?
Sansa: Calm down! Of Course I did!
Arya: [meme I can't keep calm
I just watched Game of Thrones]
Sansa: [emoji of Sansa]
Arya: [emoji of Arya with Needle]

Here is Brooke Panda (as Sansa)
Here is Kelly - Happy (as Arya)

I created this little fake iMessage
from a website I found online...
the iPhone was a sketch from
online and I just joined the images together
the little emojis came from
JujuSprinkles
I had to massively reduce the size
of the image so it can fit in the card
so it's not as sharp :(
I colored the edges to make it
a gold iPhone (like mine) LOL
The paper is from Doodlebug
and the tiny iPhone dies are from
My Favorite Things

I hope you liked the card
and can join in on the challenges on the
facebook page.

Thank you for stopping by.
Have a great day.

A Dream is a Wish your Heart makes

Good morning friends!

Katya Bess here showing you another princess card, this time I colored Paige as Cinderella.

I colored her with Copic markers (no lines coloring) then fussy cut her.
Then I used a Sakura Gelly Roll to add a few sparkles
which is hard to see with the lighting I had.
I left the card without a sentiment
since I don't have a particular person to give this card to yet.
The rectangle die is from My Creative Time.

I will include a Copic recipe later tonight.

Here is a close up.  :D

Here is Paige with the sentiment and crown.

The background wasn't colored by me...
It was my daughter Daenerys' Disney Princess Palace Pets set
she got  as Christmas gift from the people at our kids' Bible Club.
As I was taking apart the boxes for recycling I noticed that
I could probably use the inside of the packaging so I saved it
particularly for these princess stamps. LOL

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend...
Have a great time crafting or watching the football game
even if it's just the commercials and Half Time Show
since our teams are NOT playing. Teehee

Thank you for stopping by.

Wintertime is Golden

Hi Everyone!

Today I'm just showing you a card I made to give out for Christmas. She is an image drawn by Elaine Cox I had found at Sweet Pea Stamps... that company is no longer and I may have to look for Elaine Cox's page to see if I can but more of her images. This one is called Moon of Wintertime.

I colored her with Copic markers.
A gold Sakura Gelly Roll for some shimmer, Copic Atyou clear for the snowflakes.
The 6x6 paper is from Craft Smith and it's called Holiday Foil...
I found that at Michael's and I almost put it back- it's fabulous with dies as you can see.
The Poinsettia I made a long time ago with my Cricut.
The layering die is from My Creative Time
The "Merry Christmas" dies are from Paper Smooches
called Christmas Words.

Here here it is from the side so you can see it's a gold foil cardstock

Hope you liked my card.

Thanks for stopping by,

we showcase for you this week!!!

❅    ❅  ❅ ❅  ❅ ❅  ❅ ❅    ❅  ❅ ❅  ❅ ❅  ❅ ❅    ❅  ❅ ❅  ❅ ❅  ❅ ❅    ❅  ❅ ❅  ❅ ❅  ❅ ❅    ❅  ❅ ❅  ❅

Here is my completed card using Audrina

OMG! I used way more glitter than I'm used to and I still have glitter in different spots of my desk and floor but I love the way my card came out. I might have to make a video and show you all just how glittery and shimmer it is sometime in the near future. I colored Audrina with Copic
markers, Copic Spica glitter pens and Sakura Gelly Rolls.
The background is a combination of embossing powders and loose glitter.
As you can see it's pretty much a two-tone card. I used mostly Earth (E's) and Yellow (Y's)
Copic markers to give a warm golden look
BUT I did use a tad bit of R20 and R30 for rosey cheeks, tongue and nose.
The trees in the background are from
Whimsy Stamps called Christmas Scene Builder
I hope you like my golden winter wonderland card using
the super cute stamp.

To get more inspiration check out the awesome creations
the Design Team made with the adorable Audrina.

SBS DT: Brighter Days for Friends: Vicky

Hi Everyone,

How are you doing today? Hope all is well and some friends here I know have health issues or feel sort of gloomy for personal reasons... I know that sometimes in the crafting community some can get a little dramatic but in most cases most people are here to uplift your spirits to let you know that you did a really good job, to check on you, to be  your friend, to appreciate you... and many more positive things. We have many friends like that even if we've never met in person. I had a special friend, BreAnn that if you follow me on my blog then you'd know she was very special to me as well as Tanja, Corinne and few more. It is important to let them know you care for them and appreciate their friendship as often as you can... you never know when they may be called to leave this Earth....

Anyway, today we are going to cheer up our bloggy friend Craftin' Vicky. I first met her during our DT time at http://jacksonsdigitalexpressions.blogspot.com/, although there is no more DT there, the blog was left open for all to enjoy the work we all created. JDE was my first DT and I believe it was hers too. Vicky has always been ready to join on in all projects, always eager to learn and participate in as many projects or teams. I see her as a Vampire... girl you don't sleep... lol or simply put Super Craftin' Vicky. LOL

So here is my card. I hope you like it too Vicky and I hope that the girls and I have "lifted up" your spirits. Have a blessed day :)

I colored Vicky with Copics. I chose a bright bright pink for her dress and umbrella.
I fussy cut  some DCWV papers from the Street Lace stack
and colored the butterfly and flowers to match.

Slight close-up.

Thank you for stopping by.

Slinky Tart DT: Valentina has gotcha!

Hey Everyone!

Posting my very first blog for the brand spanking new Slinky Tart. This digi brand was created by Tamara van Wijk, she is the owner of the former The Stamping Chef but unfortunately had to close that shop... she now is only doing Smexy art and Pin-Up style but I love it! If you have any questions regarding the new shop http://slinkytart.com/Store/  even for the old store TSC, please don't hesitate to contact Tamara @ info@slinkytart.com.

Now to show you my creation with Valentina, just click on the link and you'll find her there if you want to buy her. If you love these Smexy/Pin-Up Styled digis then you would love to join in at https://www.facebook.com/groups/SlinkyTart/ there are sometimes prizes, get info from store, even inspiration from everyone else who loves Slinky Tart and sometimes who knows... a discount code.

I loved coloring Valentina with my Copic markers.
The clouds I created with my Caran D'ache Supracolor II Soft water color pencils
then of course brushed a little water over the drawing for soft puffy clouds.
The Gotcha, arrow and small heart cuts were from the Silhouette store.
The awesome red and blue Bazzill Basic Paper were gifted in a big stack from
my one of my Crafty BFF's BreAnn. :) Thank you so much.
The super sexy image was provided by Tamara. Thank you very much as well.
Here is a close up of the face.

I hope you love this image and style, they're so fun to work with.

I leave you with the link to the store and the Facebook page

Thank you for visiting.

TSC DT: Messenger Angel

Good morning Everyone!

I hope all is well. Today is the start of my kids' Thanksgiving break....  Seriously.... they didn't have to take Wednesday out.... LOL My sanity is going to go out the window.... I'll have to pray on that. LOL

Okay, on to my card. I wanted to make a CAS religious Christmas card... but then it was too CAS so I added a bow.

I used http://thestampingchef.com/Shop/downloads/angelic-angel-ann/ to show the messenger angel... I supposed most angels in the Bible that I have heard of have masculine names and are some very powerful beings.... but I really wanted to use this image in this case.

I used Distress inks and a ripped up piece of scratch paper to form the clouds.
There were specific colors I wanted to use to represent a messenger angel At least for the clothing:
A belt of fine gold. I used Copic Atyou pens to add some shimmer on top of the Copic coloring.
The clothes white as snow but I added strays of color to show the radiance or glowing and shimmering  that comes from an angel.
The yellow light shinning in the background clouds is also with distress inks.
The gold ribbon was a thrift store find- my mom got it for me. :D
Close up of the face and wings
this photo was to show the shimmer from the gold Copic Atyou pen.
The die is from Our Daily Bread Designs and you can find it here:  https://www.ourdailybreaddesigns.com/index.php/elegant-oval-dies.html

This is from Luke 2. Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14 “Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.
I hope you liked my card.

SBS DT: Day of the Dead Blog Hop

Hello Everyone!

It's November 1st and it's The Day of Dead. It's celebrated differently in many countries but it all comes down to remembering your deceased loved ones and honoring their lives. In this part of the country the most known and widely celebrated are the Mexican traditions of The Day of the Dead.
They create altars with photos of their loved one, bake bread or other pastries, make sugar skulls, candles with saints and lots and lots of flowers. Everything looks very colorful and beautiful to honor their loved one.  In my native country I don't remember much but I do remember my mother always lit a candle for my grandmother and I do remember the graves and tombs are always cleaned and decorated with colorful (either handmade or real) flower crowns and everything is made to look fresh. Music is celebrated and people dance and dance to celebrate life. In my country there are actually two days to celebrate. One day is to celebrate All of the dead and then the second day is to celebrate the ones that died as children or virgins....

It's a hop and I'm the last on the list so make sure to start http://simplybettystamps.blogspot.com/ and hop along to see everyone's creations! The hop list is posted below the cards.

Well too much chit chat... let me show you these beauties Betty came up with.
This one is called Dia De Los Muertos Betty and it can be found here:
http://simplybstamps.net/item_2991/Dia-De-Los-Muertos-Betty-Digi.htm

This one was actually my favorite one to color but I felt I ruined her face a little
by making it a no lines coloring.
Here are a few details and to see how dimensional the card really is.

This one is Lenore Forevermore and you can find it here:
http://simplybstamps.net/item_2990/Lenore-Forevermore.htm
I took flowers from a flower garland (Petaloo) I got in a Halloween Swap last year. I thought
I had some serape paper but I'm not sure if I bought it or not... LOL maybe I just looked at it so
many times... so I ended up changing my mental card design.
Here is the close up of the sugar skull face I drew on her.
We were to create our own face Sugar Skull face paint, use a lace trim and use bright colors. LOL If you click on the Lenore Forevermore then you'll see the difference.

For this last image Sugar Skull Betty
http://simplybstamps.net/item_2883/Sugar-Skull-Betty-Digi.htm
The challenge was... Anything Goes :)

Here is a close up of the face.

Cheeky You Twinkle

Hi Everyone!

Just doing a little fun post. I had colored this image maybe about a week ago or two... I don't remember but I just put it into a card over the weekend. Some of you got to view her during my very first YouTube video. I really was just supposed to show my markers and how I store them then at the end I showed off a few of my colorings to show that I do actually use my markers... heeehee
Here's the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mj6UcOdwd1k

I'm using http://thegreetingfarm.com/shop/cheeky-fairy-digi.html At the moment it's only available in digi but either way I love her!

I used acrylic paints for the sky and I used water color pencils for the rainbow.
I stamped this little sentiment from The Greeting Farm
then I went over it with Copic Atyou Spica pens.
it's called Because of You rubbet stamp set but I couldn't find it on the website to link it to you.
I hope you liked my little card.

Thank you for visiting.

JIC DT: ZVP Glitter and Sparkle

Hi Everyone!

Welcome :) This week I worked on a card for Just Inspirational Challenges-
The theme this week is: Glitter and Sparkle

Today I used Manga Style Little Mermaid from ZuriVicePresidentJr's Etsy Shop
(click on the links and it will take you to look around and purchase if you'd like)

I used bright colors for this image- for some reason these images
inspire me to use very bright/vivid colors.

I had been making lots of 6x6 cards but for this card and my last card I decided to
make an A2 sized cards- for easy mailing :)

I used Copic Copic to color my mermaid. Copic Spica Atyou were used on the hair and the fins.
I used Stickles Glitter Glue on the tail
and I used Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll on the Banner and waves.

This is the Inspiration Photo from Just Inspirational Challenges.

Thank you for stopping by.

JIC DT: Around the World with SSD

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to show my little card... took me forever and a day to make it. LOL I had fun except for the stopping and stopping and stopping to do errands or whatever...

I originally wanted to do something else for the background but then I went to the site and I noticed the company is out on vacation or something... aaaaaah!!!! I had to draw my own background looking at various photographs trying to not copy but take elements into my imagination to make my own Egyptian Oasis.... After I drew my image I inked it manually then scanned it so I can print more in the future.

Here is my card I made for Team A's DT at Just Inspirational Challenges.
I used Bonnie of the Nile (Cleopatra) just click on the link and you'll find her there or just go to http://buysassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com/ and look around for yourself. ;)

My completed card.
The entire image was colored with Copic Markers and I use Copic Spica Atyou sparingly.

This image is also the inspiration photo for the JIC challenge this week.

Wrote my own sentiment like a vacation photo or vacation postcard. LOL

I used a piece of left over Spectrum Noir paper, colored it and cut it like a wooden stick.

Here is the image of the Oasis I drew up. I colored it a little more at the bottom then trimmed after I decided where I was going to write my sentiment and glue my SSD girl.

Thanks for looking.

Corinne's Girly Swap 2014

Hey Hey!

Hope everyone is doing well.  Today is the big day that we're showing off our swap goodies. Yay!
You should be coming right over from  Sam Slater's blog. If not use the blog hop list at the very bottom as your guide.

Okay, yy swap buddy is Tanja Charles I was happy to get her 'cause well she is really a friend that I get to chat with almost everyday. LOL Sometimes is just to check up on each other sometimes is silly randomness but mostly is CRAFTY stuff which is my favorite thing to do. :) Although we chat often.... You know that woman didn't want to tell me what she really wanted until one day along with another buddy BreAnn, we took pictures of our dies and let me tell ya she IS late to the die party (she said so herself).... very very late. LOL jk Tee just teasing. So since she's a good buddy and it's her birthday month I decided to buy her some dies along with other crafty goodies of course.

Still waiting on the mailman for mine though... darn post office.... We love them and we despise them at the same time. LOL So I will have to update my post for ya gals and gents.

"I got a package! I got a package! I got package Hey Hey!!!"
So excited to use these things I don't have that color catch it all for my sprays I only have 4 but
now I need more... I do really need to start smashing little life things or color combos. LOL
Tanja made the colorful beads. Can't wait to use the glitter and everything else.

Thank you so much for my crafty goodies.
Tanja got me these crafty goodies.

_________________________________________________________________________________
Anyway here is the card I made. I used Copic and Copic Atyou pens to color her. I used http://simplybstamps.net/item_2727/Bubble-Bath-Betty-Digi.htm just click on the link and you'll find her there.

The Paper and the brad is from Bo Bunny: Isabella Collection.  I tried to color the image to sort of match the papers or as close as I could with my limited Copic collection. I used roses from my stash... well from Orchid Crafts. The dies are from La La Land Crafts and from My Creative Time.

This is what I got for her.  A few things I didn't have myself so I got doubles and some things I wanted but it was the LAST. Is that baaaaad to get things for myself too or what? Good thing it was my own money and not my Hubby's or he would wrung my neck. LOL jk...
he supports me in my crafting... or so he says....  I beg to differ much of the time.

I tissue wrapped everything for the swap in WHITE
and the one BLUE one is for her birthday... not for the swap\ or swap hop.

This is what I got for Tanja
