Irene's Birthday and Blog Hop 2014

Hey Everyone,

Today it's sweet and playful Irene's birthday (she's Corinne's sweet angel twin) heehee. We are making their blog hops separate since they do have separate birthdays being twins.... How cool is that???  Irene is always so sweet and like Corinne has some amazing coloring skills, from Color pencils to Spectrum Noir to Copic.... she's can also be our partner in crime when we playfully tease Corinne. heehee. Thank you Betty for letting us have this cute cute stamp, I soooo picture Irene with these sweets and posing like this. LOL

You can find this digi at Simply Betty's Stamps store. Here is the link:

http://simplybstamps.net/item_3052/Irene-Bday-Sundae-Digi.htm

Happy Birthday Irene!!!

Here is my card.

I colored my image with Copic markers
I also used the same paper line that I used with Corinne's
card which was the Pebble's Birthday Wishes paper pad
I used Sakura gelly rolls as well to add a little shimmer to her shirt and shoes.

Here is a close-up to show the shimmer.

Thank you for stopping by

Corinne Jones Birthday and Blog Hop 2014

Hey Everyone!

It's a happy day today! It's our friend Corinne's big birthday... Guess how old she is??? Old as dirt but who cares right? Everyone likes to play with dirt every now and then... LOL jk Corinne. We love you woman! If you are new to the SBS fan page or any of the crafting pages we follow along with Corinne, you get to see that we mess with her but only for fun and would never ever be hurtful to her ever! Although she might play the victim sometimes..... hahahaha. In reality we appreciate all of the hard work she does. She is very helpful from sun up to sun down and will do "almost anything" to make us smile, feel welcome, and to give knowledge of things in the crafting world. She tells it like it is and doesn't sugar coat it unless you're like 4 LOL :) She is very sweet when she wants to be other wise just picture a grumpy cat face with a big red wig. LOL OMG she's going to kill me or I'll be in the corner forever until my bones are dry and brittle.

Okay, before I show the card I worked on I'd like to say thank you very much to Betty for letting me join in on this fab hop and giving us this cute and sweet smiling birthday Corinne. You can find this digi here: http://simplybstamps.net/item_3051/Big-Birthday-Cake-Corinne-Digi.htm

Happy Birthday Corinne
I colored her up with Copic markers.
I bought this die from Joann's when it was 50% off... oooo yea!!!
The paper is from Pebbles which I had never heard of but
I found it at Marshall's.... hadn't been to that store since I
was searching for my prom dress.

Here is the close-up
Corinne loves the color black although inside I believe she's a very colorful person.... :P
Her artwork and crafts are all full of color but she loves to wear black but since it's her
birthday I decided to add a little shimmer with my
Sakura Gelly Roll and I also added an earring since she wears long long earrings.

Thank you for stopping by here are the links to the hop.

Secret Santa Swap with Mr. Frosty

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to share this little card I made for a Secret Santa Swap a while ago... I guess I could share the card I made but the card I received I will have to show next month???

I bought two of these stamps because I thought they were so cute. I had to buy one for Pam and one for myself. I've done the swap thing too many times where I bought something for the receiver and then I couldn't find one for me. LOL

I bought Mr. Frosty of Whimsy Stamps from Jamie's store: https://www.zibbet.com/not2shabbyshop.
Jamie often  has sales and even little monthly contests going on in  her Facebook fan pagehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/103832353026882/ oh and she announces the challenges or sales on her YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/ScrappinStampers Just check her out she's very sweet and very fast at shipping.

I colored him up with Copic markers
I made the flowers with my Cricut
The paper is from Recollections.

Here is a close-up of the image and snow with Frantage embossing powder
Here is to show the two stamps I bought...
of course the one that is out and trimmed is mine.

Thank you for looking.

12 Days of Inspiration YouTube Hop

Hey Everyone,

Just doing a quick post for a YouTube Hop I participated in, it's called 12 Days of Inspiration and it's hosted by Jamie Peters from the Not2Shabby Shop on Zibbet. Here is the link to the shop
https://www.zibbet.com/not2shabbyshop here is the link to the Facebook Fan Page https://www.facebook.com/groups/103832353026882/ and here is the YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/ScrappinStampers

Okay So I made a gift that you can give to co-workers... that is hand sanitizer stocking stuffers. LOL
I used Dolly With Gifts She's a rubber stamp from The Greeting Farm but I bought her from Jamie's Not2Shabby shop.

I colored her up with Copic Markers
I used several dies from http://www.my-creative-time.com/
The project was very quick and easy... just make sure you have
your glue gun hot and ready.
I bought the smallest hand sanitizers I could find
and it was just right for this die.
This is how the back looks.
I made sure to use a cardstock that had designs that would be not be upside down
when the diecut was creased and folded.... I hope I didn't loose you there... LOL

Thank you for looking.

Here is the video for the YouTube hop
If you watch from the YouTube page you can see
all of the links for the hop.

I hope you liked my little project.

SBS DT: Happy Birthday Kay

Hey there Everyone!

Just popping in to say "Happy Birthday Kay!!!"

Our SBS DT mate is from Australia and Betty drew up an image just for her to wish her a happy birthday. I decided since Australia is hot during this time of year I wanted to set her in a beach scenery. I would so love to visit the Australian beaches or get to see their famous Coral Reef.

I made her card pretty simply but added a few elements like balloons.... cause what birthday is complete without birthday balloons right?

Okay here is my card for her.

I made it look like a polaroid picture
I colored her with Copic markers
The sentiment is from SBS as well I just made it look like sand writing.
The balloon dies were a freebie from an order I made from Our Daily Bread Designs.

I hope she likes my card.

Thanks for visiting.

YouTube Holiday Swap Cards using TGF

Good morning Crafty Peeps,

I've been waiting and waiting to be able to show off these cards. I joined a swap with Nurse Larelle from YouTube. There were two groups of 5 so I finished off 4 cards and sent to her. Of course I didn't make a fifth one for myself. LOL I just watched her video and I'm a little bummed because she didn't show my cards. The post office tracking shows she received them in her mailbox on December 8th. I hoped hoped and hoped that she prerecorded the video or that she just forgot to video my cards. LOL But we have been keeping in touch and for some reason the post office has been keeping the package hostage??? Weird!!! Dude! Dudette! My eyes started twitching for real. LOL Well that's probably from my lack of sleep and no help with these colds I've been getting this year seriously. Okay here are two my cards I was in such a rush to send them off that I didn't take a picture of the Blue one nor the Green one and the card boxes I made for them.

This is the very first order I made from Jamie's 'Not 2 Shabby Shop'
Here is the link to her shop https://www.zibbet.com/not2shabbyshop
and the name of the rubber stamp I used is Holiday Anya 4

I colored her with Copic markers
The snowflake die behind the glittery one is from
The paper is all from Recollections.
The bling is from Recollections.
The stick pins I created myself and its the first time I made stick pins.
The small Poinsettias I cut those with my Cricut
The big poinsettia I bought a white "flower bush" from Michaels
and I just died them with my Copic refills.
The sentiment is from another TGF stamp set that I also bough from Jamie
it's called Dollie with Gifts.
I will come back and add a YouTube video that I made a while back.

Thank you for stopping by.

Crafting for Strangers TGF

Hello Everyone!

Haven't posted in a while... been a little busy.... but found a little time to make a card for a little stranger. Her name is Addie Fausett and she's just 6 years old. Addie suffers from an extensive atrophy in her brain and her doctors and family believe this may be her last Christmas. Addy and her family wish to have people send her Christmas cards so this is what I came up with.

I colored her with Copics.
I found this paper at Michaels and it was on sale for about $7-$8 (at 60%)
The stamp is Holiday Anya 4 and I found her at
My crafty friend BreAnn McFarland sent me the link
and you can see the info here too.
http://abcnews.go.com/Lifestyle/strangers-send-greeting-cards-dying-utah-girl-celebrate/story?id=27339532
I hope that even though everyone is busy we can
find a little time for someone else rather than our own... it'll feel nice in the end. :)

Thanks for visiting.

SBS DT: Winter Beauties

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day or Week. We have just been lounging most of the time... I did a little crafty shopping well more for organization.... wanted to do a whole lot more... but only in my dreams right?

Okay so it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.... Do I keep saying that with every Christmas card I make? LOL

Here you go:
For my first card, I used Bettina.
We are to use lots of sparkle. (Glitter glue or just plain glitter)
I colored her with Copics, the snowy background I colored with Distress inks
but since it's not a rubber stamp to stamp on another sheet of paper to mask it off I used
masking fluid. I covered her up completely before coloring... I learned my lesson...
the only thing I noticed it's that when I removed the masking fluid the paper looked a little
yellow... but I think it may have been from the distress in from seeping in or maybe not...
In the end after I colored her up you can't see any of the yellowing and the only part exposed
now is the sclera but didn't yellow at all. There were tiny areas when there where no color
around the border so what I did was tried to roll so of the masking fluid and used a tiny bit of
distress ink to cover white areas... I still missed a few spot when I removed all of the masking fluid
so I looked for the closed copic color and now you can barely notice the difference.
I used Stickles glitter glue for the snow in the background as well as the falling snow dots.
All of the he papers are from Recollections and it's called Christmas
I tried to match her outfit to the papers.
________________________________________________________________________________

For my second card, I used Jackie.
The challenge is to use 2 designer papers and ribbon!
I colored her with Copic markers and tried a salt and pepper gray hair look...
did that with Sakura gelly roll pen.
The die is from My Creative Time it's called Scalloped Stitched Oval Dies.
The paper is from American Crafts called Holiday.

 detail of the clothing....
Close up of the face so you can see the frames and the lens I used glossy
accents to make them look like real eye glasses.

Well I hope you liked my cards.

Thank you for stopping by.

TSC DT: Messenger Angel

Good morning Everyone!

I hope all is well. Today is the start of my kids' Thanksgiving break....  Seriously.... they didn't have to take Wednesday out.... LOL My sanity is going to go out the window.... I'll have to pray on that. LOL

Okay, on to my card. I wanted to make a CAS religious Christmas card... but then it was too CAS so I added a bow.

I used http://thestampingchef.com/Shop/downloads/angelic-angel-ann/ to show the messenger angel... I supposed most angels in the Bible that I have heard of have masculine names and are some very powerful beings.... but I really wanted to use this image in this case.

I used Distress inks and a ripped up piece of scratch paper to form the clouds.
There were specific colors I wanted to use to represent a messenger angel At least for the clothing:
A belt of fine gold. I used Copic Atyou pens to add some shimmer on top of the Copic coloring.
The clothes white as snow but I added strays of color to show the radiance or glowing and shimmering  that comes from an angel.
The yellow light shinning in the background clouds is also with distress inks.
The gold ribbon was a thrift store find- my mom got it for me. :D
Close up of the face and wings
this photo was to show the shimmer from the gold Copic Atyou pen.
The die is from Our Daily Bread Designs and you can find it here:  https://www.ourdailybreaddesigns.com/index.php/elegant-oval-dies.html

This is from Luke 2. Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14 “Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.
I hope you liked my card.

Happy Birthday Sharman

Good Evening Everyone!

Today a crafty friend celebrates another birthday, her name is Sharman.

Sharman is a special lady that I have come to meet in the crafty world. She is always so gracious and has lots and I mean lots of words wisdom. HeeHee She is a beautiful person inside and out, a mother, grandmother, a person that loves the Lord and a very good friend -there is no doubt. :)

Happy Birthday Sharman!

This image was drawn up by Betty as a commission for her and when I had the chance I made sure I bought it myself.  :)  You can find her here http://simplybstamps.net/item_2532/Sharman-Digi.htm

I colored her with Copics and Sakura GellyRolls

Okay, I know the way I made the card is sort of Springy... and not of the current season... but it's because I know Sharman loves flowers; in particular Calla Lilies. I didn't use Calla Lilies this time but I used these Jolee's boutique 3D stickers with orchids and I hope she likes them as much as I do.
The birthday greeting Starform Stickers were sent to me by BreAnn McFarland. :D Thank you!

Here you can see the shimmer in the orchids and the shine from sentiment and vine swirls.

I hope you liked me card.

Happy 30th Birthday Louise

Hey there Crafty World!

It seems like forever since the last time I posted. Had to sort of take a break. Been a little sick- just a cold but I'm a lot better now.

So today I'm showcasing a card for Louise; she's my design team mate on SBS.

We decided to surprise her with a card on her 30th birthday. I hope it's fun and very memorable for her as well as surrounded by the ones she loves and love her back.

You can find her here: http://simplybstamps.net/item_3015/Louise-30th-Bday-Digi.htm

Here is my make for it:

I think my phone lens was a bit dirty because it's not very sharp.
Will have to take another photo during sunlight.
I Use Copic markers and Sakura Gelly Rolls to color my image.
The paper is from Recollections: Mercury Glass/Christmas paper pad.
As soon as I saw the paper on the cover I wanted it... then I flipped through the pages and I had to think of what I could take out from my shopping basket because
I was definitely taking this paper home with me. LOL
Here is a better look at her face.

Inside joke:

Are you slightly comforted
by the fact that if you
write your age as a
Roman numeral, it becomes
Naughty...?
Happy XXX
:)

I hope you liked it and I hope Louise likes it as well.

Thank you for visiting.

SBS DT: Hot Hot Christmas

Hi Everyone.

I'm a little behind on posting through blogland but I have posted these a few days ago (Saturday 15th) on facebook though the SBS fan page, Kit  & Clowder and Digi galore. So if you have seen these I hope I don't bore you with the same stuff. LOL Just wanted to share a little bit of the process that goes in the way I made my cards.
So here we go. Were to use some Summer 1950's styled beach babes and turn them into Christmas cards. You can buy them singular or you can buy the bundle and I'll share the links with you.

So here is the bundle (4 images and sentiments):  http://simplybstamps.net/item_3000/Summer-Babes-Digi-Bundle.htm

So now to the image I used for the first card:
Summer Time Betty here's the link:  http://simplybstamps.net/item_3004/Summer-Time-Betty-Digi.htm

I used Copic markers to color her up.
I also drew my own background and lined it with a Copic multiliner to give it that
Christmas in the Caribbean/Central America, Hawaii,
or Florida. LOL Anywhere but where I'm at now... where it's co-co-co-cold.
Don't get me wrong I do love to go see the snow and make real snowmen and snow angels and what not... I just can't deal with cold for too long.

YouTube...

This one is Anne '50's Summer Beauty and here's the link: http://simplybstamps.net/item_3002/Anne-50s-Summer-Beauty-Digi.htm
Same as the previous image I drew my own background except the palm tree... I did add the string or Christmas lights though. This was inspired by Sandy Allnock's Snoopy Video
I used some different colors because I didn't have what she had but the technique was all her idea.
Here's a little process video on Youtube.

TTPH DT: Thankful with TSC

Hey Everyone!

Just a quick post to show my card for Through The Purple Haze DT. This week we are being sponsored by The Stamping Chef and I'm using an image I bought a whiiiiile back she's called
Leg or Breast? It's on sale for $1.50 since The Stamping Chef also has a monthly challenge on their Facebook fan page. The TSC monthly theme is "Thanks" and the Recipe is Ribbon and Kraft card AND use the 'Leg or Breast?' image. Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TSCRecipes/  The image is very sexy. I had a different idea on how I wanted to use her but I went a little mainstream and just made it a 'Thank you' card instead.

So here's my card:

I colored with Copics... and since I was doing Native American skin I tried out different colors
didn't even write them down since I have a tough time blending. I seriously need to practice with more colors. I have like 3-4 combos down and that's what I stick to. LOL
I Also did some experimenting. I tried to mask the image
but the black ink started to bleed and paranoia kicked.... argggg!
When I removed it it wasn't as bad as it looked but still a little bit got messed up.

I used this paper stack I bought like 2 years ago I think. It's called Garden Harvest by Recollections.
It's Kraft paper mixed with glitter! Well most of the pages anyway. It's cute.

The 'thanks' die is from the Happy Thoughts Stamp set at

I used The Stamping Chef'sFantine Oh Dear, My Deer. (Just click on the links and it'll take you to the shop)

I colored my image with Copic markers and used a Sakura gelly roll for the eye lights.
The die is from The Greeting Farm
The design papers are from Martha Stewart's Wonderland 12x12 Paper pad
Here's a close up of the digi
Here's a close up of the glittery paper :)
