Hi Everyone!

Hope you all are having an awesome day.

This is not a new project (I colored her up around May but sent it around June- yes I'm horrible about sending cards on time working on that) but wanted to share anyway. One of our bloggy friend's sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and is still battling with the effects of it. A bunch of us from the Simply Betty Fan group sent her cards Using Simply B's image.

This particular one is called "Cindy for the Cause."

I enlarged her and cropped her out then added the sentiment to the shirt.

I colored my image with Spectrum Noirs.

I hope she liked my card and hope she is doing much better each day.

Thanks for stopping by.

TGF Kid Jade

Hi Everyone,

This is a card created by my very colorful daughter Jade, who is 5 years (well 6 in one month.)
I told her about the TGF Kidz challenge and she was over the moon or at least somewhere over the rainbow. Ha-ha! I asked her if she wanted to make a card for anyone in particular and she wanted to make a card for her friend BFF Estrella. I gave her a pre-scored card and she chose the papers, words and stickers from a little stationary set an aunt gave her.

Jade used The Greeting Farm (TGF) Rubber stamp: Anya Treats and she said because she loves cupcakes. LOL http://thegreetingfarm.com/rubber-stamps/anya-ian/anya-treats.html

Jade used my Berol Prismacolor Set.

 Here she is at work.

Ummm she was way too excited about using those old big scissors.
Here's the completed card again.
Her inside note :)

Hope you enjoyed Jade's card. I think it came out too cute. We'll mail it out tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday: Dead in dog years

Hello everyone!

Here's my smart a** birthday card in Celebration of Simply B Stamps blog birthday. For this card the the challenge was to make a "Smart A#$ card! Meaning make a card suitable for that smart mouthed person in your life, nothing sweet out of these packed with attitude images! Make it funny, sarcastic, just not sweet and endearing!  Heehee I don't use profanity "in person" but I had fun with that sentiment... it's not mine I found it online.

I used Corinne digi which was given away last December for Corinne's birthday. You can get it here:

http://simplybstamps.net/item_1931/Corinne-Digi.htm

I used colored pencil to color the door which was from digi darla's and Corinne was colored with Spectrum Noir markers and the wiener dog is from the Silhouette store. The sentiment I typed that on my computer using Open Office as well as the chat/thought bubble.
I had a rough time trying to complete the cards... you all know family life... When I start to get lazy everyone is chillin' as soon as I head to my crafty corner everyone wants to be hungry, poop, fight, argue, get hurt, whine and bug. LOL It happens to me every time. BUT all in all it was super fun creating these cards and I'm so glad some were already colored from before or cut out since I love fussy cutting my images. Thank you for stopping by. A Teen Dark Knight's Birthday

Hi back again!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic day. Just posting another card I created this week using another Simply B Stamp. Joining Day 16 Challenge with Corinne Jones and Sharon Brown I chose the second challenge: For Teen Scene Hollywood: We were to recreate a movie scene on our project.

The stamp is called Christian the Dark Hero and you can get it here:
http://simplybstamps.net/item_1504/Christian-the-Dark-Hero-Digi.htm

I love Batman movies and my favorites are the newer Batman versions especially The Dark Knight. In this scene The Joker crashes a party then grabs Rachel and tries to intimidate her with his knife and tells one of his thousand stories of how he got his "smiley face" but then Batman (Bruce Wayne) comes to her rescue. The Joker of course always wants Batman to take off his mask.

Since this is a more kid friendly image I felt like the party should have more kid friendly beverages and decorations. I fast drew the party scene myself since I couldn't find a table digi background that wasn't girly or too much stuff going on. Drawing my own backgrounds and elements is another favorite thing for me to add to my cards or projects. I colored the background with Copics and Batman with both Copic and Spectrum Noir markers. The Sentiment, I found online but typed it up on my computer and cut the endges to make it look like torn edges. I hand cut up an image of a bat then inked the edges to make them look like sharp edges... this is my version of a Batarang. Silly, I know. LOL

Hope you like my creation. Thanks for stopping by,

Katya Bess

Bond Girl Birthday

Hi Everyone!

The image I colored a whiiiile ago but finally made it into a card. I'm sharing this card for "Birthday Celebration Day 20 with Corinne & Sharon." Betty and her DT gals are having fun challenges all month long. The challenge Show your favorite technique and anything goes as long as you use a Simply B Stamp.  (Easy enough right?) The prize is for $10 Gift Certificate to Simply B Stamps store. This one is drawn by Alicia Bel for Simply Betty Stamps.
I love these stamps! the Bond girl is from Simply B Stamps (Retired image in digi form Betty has them back Saturday June 29th through July 3rd in collection sets) but the background is from Make It Crafty. I created the sentiment on my computer and just added a little glitter with Copic Atyou pens. The image was colored with Copic and Spectrum Noir Markers. My favorite technique is merging stamps or adding a background. Thanks for visiting. I hope you liked it. Spring Basket Swap Blog Hop

Hello Crafty Peeps!

Haven't been on here in quite a while... I took the plunge and joined yet, another swap (My 2nd one.... so far L.O.L.) Today you'll see the goodies we've all received... If you're just visiting me.... Thank you very kindly but if you want to hop along then you'll want to start at:
SBS http://simplybettystamps.blogspot.com/

Welcome to the Spring Basket Swap; not too many rules after you've been paired up and seeing what their "crafty style" or "likes" were just fill up your parcel box or envelope with as much goodies you can to reach $25 (or more if you WANT to.) Betty Roberts drew up a cute little gal riding her bicycle and shared it with those that joined the swap so we can make a card for our swap buddy. Okay my Swap Buddy is Corinne Jones :) If you follow us on Simply B Stamps' Fan Group you'll know she's an interesting gal... (heehee) We all like to "mess" with Corinne every now and then. Corinne is a very special gal to us at SBS she seems kind of feisty like that mad cat you see pictures posted of everywhere... but she's really very nice, very caring, very helpful, always on point and very talented. You can say she's like a ice cream crunch bar; all hard and nutty on the outside but soft and mushy inside... heehee O:) She claims my name is what was left at the bottom of the list and she had to get stuck with someone... but I know she "loves me" LOL at least a little bit... she picked the names... she could of easily "swapped" a buddy right?... so yea... HA!

Look at ALL of my goodies!!! YIPPEE!!!
Thank you so very much Corinne!!!
I put away all of my Hershey Kisses with Almonds because well... I didn't want to share with my kids or my hubby. LOL

Here is the the other side of the bucket she colored and altered the box.

OMG!!! She hooked me up with 5 COPIC markers. Woohoo!!!
________________________________________________________________
This is what I got for Corinne... I'm such a slow worker and with 4 kids... I let her know that
I'm sending her my personalized items on a separate box but went ahead and sent her
her crafty goodies so she can play with them.
Hopefully she likes what I chose for her.

I asked and Betty gave me permission to swap heads for this particular card.
The original image is the one with black hair (which is supposed to be ME in this card and the red haired is supposed to be Corinne LOL.)
My hubby "surprised" me with a Silhouette Cameo for my 30th birthday (on April 15th) yay!
That flourish cut is one of my first cuts... I hand colored it to make it more fun.
I hand drew and hand colored the stone path and grass since I couldn't find
a background scene to fit my gals on their bikes.

Here is another surprise for Corinne's Hubby Ronnie, since he shares his birthday with me...
(Happy belated birthday)
I hope it wasn't too bad... and it was my first painting in many many years...
so please forgive that I'm quite rusty...
I used my Liquitex BASICS Acrylic paint set to paint this portrait of Corinne.

Here is the blog line up; Have fun:

Green Eggs...

Hello Everyone!

Just popping in for a second to show my card.

Betty at Simply B Stamps creates these pretty awesome stamps and often shares with us for free ;) but we have to use the image her monthly challenge. This month's challenge Betty and her partner in crime, Corinne Jones, gave us an option to use a male or female but we couldn't see the image yet... all we had to do is e-mail Corinne stating we wanted the image either in male or female form. I have so many female digis so this time I said male. LOL I so want to female version too but I'll save my pennies for that one and buy it later.
This past month challenge was held atSimply B Stamps Fan Group (It's a closed group so if you want to join just send her a message on facebook... lots of chit chat about everything...mostly joking around with our friend Corinne and sharing our work with each other... there are also fun swaps and tutorials.) Okay, this past month the challenge was "NO Pastels" using either Bunny Ears Judy or Bunny Ears Scott. You can find them here:  http://simplybstamps.net/category_202/Sweet-Gothic-Kids-Easter-Digis.htm They're on sale right now I just noticed ;)

Simply B Stamp digi stamp used: Bunny Ears Scott
This is for my brother David (he actually kind of looks like this digi LOL.) He just got back from New York and is going back soon. I found a joke online and thought it was perfect for him.
"What do you call a city with 20 Millions Eggs?"
Inside it reads: "New Yolk City!"
LOL yes, kind of corny, I know... but it's all in fun.

I used only Greens and Warm Grays- All with Spectrum Noir markers
Used a Tim Holtz -brick wall embossing folder on core'dinations cardstock and distressed it with an emery board (nail file), the designer papers are from K & Company- Sheer Simplicity Green

Sketch I used: I realized my panels got covered by the oval die after I glued it...
hopefully it doesn't disqualify.

Entering my card at:

 Use Sketch provided. (#4)
All shades of GREEN (All neutrals (browns, blacks, whites, creams are okay to use) (#13)
Use green somewhere in your creation. (#243)
Use GREEN as the MAIN color. (#81)

That's it for now.
Thank you all for visiting.

Valentines Bucket Swap Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!

Hope you all are having fun seeing what our swap buddies gave each other. If you're coming from Wendy's blog www.jazzydoodledesigns.com then you're in the right place. If you're just coming over to visit (awww thank you very much) please head on over to Simply Betty's Blog. The hop line-up is at the bottom of this post.

My swap buddy was Roz from Florida, very nice lady. Can't belive how many things we have in common from tv shows, to food, plants and crafting ;) Roz got me all of these goodies many which I have not used before and wanted to get but hadn't yet.

Love my goodies Thank you so much Roz.
This is her blog
http://www.wolfepak5.blogspot.com/
show her some crafty love :)
___________________________________________________________
I got a bucket online and the things I got a little to happy buying didn't fit
on her bucket so I decided to make her an Valentine's Day heart box
with the colors I think she'd like from what she posted on SBS fan site on FB.
The box is like 10"x11"
and I used one of Simply Betty's Digital stamps
My Funky Valentine Betty digi

I painted the heart and roses I made with pearlescent acrylic paint
but it's hard to tell from the pictures. Everything is very shimmery.

Note* I forgot to add the colorbox that's in the heartbox :(
but I added a bag of Tootsie Rolls before I took it to the post office.
Roz stated she loves dogs so I bought these peachy keen face stamps
I hope she loves them 'cause I don't have those myself. LOL
Those are some of the flowers I made and hand painted as well.
At Simply Betty I'm noticing that there are many many Steampunk
challenges and digis so I decided to go that route when buying the goodies.
I bought some of those things for myself and I haven't done steampunk besides
this heart box but hopefully I'll be able to start learning this Steampunk style.
I wasn't a Halloween person but Betty's images are so cute... I think I'm a bit
of a Halloween convert lol.
Anyway enough chatter from me... can you tell I'm at home with kids all day?
Heehee... next up is Stacey http://anastasiasarts.blogspot.com/ . Enjoy the hop everyone!

& thanks for visiting.
