The Greeting Farm Customer Blog Hop

Hello everyone!

Hope all is well! Enjoying this cool but sunny day in California. Okay, The Greeting Farm; one of my absolute favorite rubber stamp companies has put out a blog hop for their customers! I think that it's a pretty cool idea to show customer appreciation not to mention the big sale they're having a the moment. 25% off until the 2nd of Decemener simply use code: BLACKFRIDAY. Isn't that exciting?
Make sure you start at splendidstamping.blogspot.com so you won't miss out on any fun.

On to my card... I chose Cheeky X-Mas from my favorite TGF line: The Cheeky Cherry Collection.
For a fun twist, I decided to make a snowflake easel card. I got the beautiful cut from Birds Cards.

Here is my easel card "closed."

Here is it open.

Hope you like it and are enjoying the hop.

Thanks for stopping by.

Be Thankful for the little things

Hi Everyone.

Doing another SBS Challenge using.

Little Indian Betty And Pilgrim Corinne. You can find them in the links below:
I drew a background and colored the background on PSE. Corinne and Betty were colored with Copic markers by hand. I would say it's much easier coloring by hand. LOL I used to do PSE and Illustrator in high school and somehow I've forgotten everything.... but it was still fun coloring about... even if I had to stop a million times to get it done. I hope you love these characters as much as I do.
Even though I have a chart... for some reason I always tend to do this... sometimes I'm blending a couple of colors...

Here's the background I drew freehand.... the scenery is just from my head from what I remember  seeing Teepees looking like. Nothing special I just wanted to put my characters in a setting that matched them.

Thanks for stopping by.

TGF Alter-Ego Draculaura

Hello Folks,

Here is the card I created using two different TGF stamps.

My inspiration was my daughter Jade and her love for Monster High characters (especially Draculaura.)

I used Copics to color her up.

I also used TGF's couch from Sitting Cute! and I drew in pink lines because Jade says, "Draculaura's furniture has to be pink and black."

Okay this is how I used Cheeky Geeky and Cheeky Rockability to make my Draculaura.

Close up all colored up and glued up. I love it and Jade does too. LOL I might make some of her other favorite Monster High characters for her.

Thanks for visiting.

Hugs,

Katya Bess

SBS Secret Pumpkin Swap Blog Hop

Happy Halloween My Crafty Buddies!

Today there is a big blog hop and you it's the big day to reveal who our Secret Swap Sisters were....

The Secret Sister that was to send me a "pumpkin" was Stacey Stratis and boy did she spoil me.

Look at all of the awesome goodies Stacey gave me. Wooo hooo!
Socks that'll I'' be wearing on more that Halloween night. LOL Lots of embellishments. Paper Smooches paints I really wanted to try those for so long that I opened the box and completely forgot I had to take pix first. LOL Love my paper stack already used several papers from it.

She made me this really nice card
AND altered this tin can. Isn't that super neat?
Thank you very much Stacey I love everything!
_____________________________________________________
The crafty lady that I sent goodies to was Heather Whitlock.
and I hope she likes everything and is useful for her.
I had a fun time buying some of the things I got her but for me too. LOL

Here is my project for Heather.
I painted a box and added the digi stamp Betty provided us for the swap.
Her name is Kitty Boo Betty.

The altered box lid.
I colored her with Spectrum Noirs and Prismacolor Pencils.
The pumpkins and wagon are an SVG cut file from Miss Kate's Cuttables.
Everything else is Acrylic paints, Stikles and Sakura Stardust Pens.
Sorry for the glare...
Close up of some of the goodies I got Heather.
