Hello Sunshine

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I finally created a card using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps I used a retired gray rubber stamp called "Sunnie" and clear stamp At the Beach.I had so much fun coloring this image that I colored one with Prismacolor pencils and had to color it again with Copic markers - This one is the one colored with Copic makers. The beach scene I was experimenting with Dr. Martin's Hydrus watercolors and unfortunately didn't use water color paper so it buckled but in the end it turned out okay.  I also really love the Doodlebug Design paper called "fun in the sun." The dies are from Magnolia Doohickey dies Spring Flower Lace that my talented friend Emily Shroom ordered for me for a past birthday - Thank you so much Emily It was perfect for this card.
Here is Emily's blog so you can see her awesome cards: http://emilyshroom.blogspot.com/

I was inspired to make this card  because we found a beach not too far from our home (like 6 minutes) and for days it's all I could think about so I took the kids and spent several hours there twice and then finally dragged the hubby to come with us one day. LOL So, here's my card I hope you like it.

Hi and welcome to Day #2 of

Arrgh, its a pirate!

Julie is available RIGHT NOW, along with all the other stamps from earlier this week!
`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

So here is my card using Julie.
What a cute little pirate! She's not stealing gold from
anyone anytime soon. haha
She's perfect for Halloween cards, birthday cards... or just a Hello card!
Did you know that in September there is a
Talk like a Pirate Day? LOL
I found this link a long time ago and I just thought about it now.

I stamped Pirate Julie then masked her to stamp
the Magnolia Ocean Scene Background on top.
Then proceeded with coloring with Copic markers.
I left the card without a sentiment because I
don't know or don't have a person in mind for the card yet.

Her hair is E19, E15, E08, E99 and YR24
skin is BV11, E0000, E000, E21, R21, R20 and R30
The reds in her clothing are E35, E46 and E89
the waist sash is colored with the same colors as the sand just added one more color
and varied the intensity Y28, Y23, E21 and E28

The sky is B00 and B000
the clouds are C5 diluted with the 0 Blender pen on the cap
The ocean is just one color: B24
The ship/boat is E37 and the sails are E43 then dabbed with the 0 Blender pen
the sand was done with Y28, Y23 and E84 for the shaddows

For the Macaw I used:
R24, R46, R89, Y17, G05 and B24

Here is a close up of Pirate Julie and her Macaw.

I hope you enjoyed our September peeks so far!
See you tomorrow!
 Have a great day!

Thank you so much,

Abigail - Lucky friend

Hello Crafty Friends,

Katya Bess here with a little card I made using Abigail - Glad We're Friends.

I wanted to create a scene expressing the little sentiment on the card
and also a theme for the month of March.
Abigail looks so cute with her pigtails sitting on the "floor" so I decided
to sit her out in a field of grass and flowers.
I stamped her first, then I masked her with "stamping mask paper"
from Inkadinkado. It's simple and much cleaner than with masking fluid,
after that I stamped the background, lastly I colored her up.
Then I realized I wanted to draw a little four leaf clover on the grass.
Very easy to create a full scene.

I chose a contrasting color to the grass like a red shirt and a red layer
but it doesn't look Christmasy.

some of the Copic markers used:
E33, E99, E97 and YR24
R17, R27 and R29
G07, G09 and YG67
B0000, B000 and B01

stamps used:
Abigail - Glad We're Friends
I'm a Lucky Girl Stamp & Die
Magnolia Cling Stamp called Chasing Butterflies Background

The dies are from:
My Creative Time Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More
I'm a Lucky Girl Stamp & Die
Craftin Desert Divas Fancy Frame Dies
Here is a close-up of Abigail - Glad We're Friends
the background and the little four leaf clover I hand-drew.
There are a few more details on my blog.

I hope you liked it
and I hope you have a fabulous weekend.

JIC DT: Monthly Challenge theme: Summer

Hello Everyone!

It's been so long since I've posted. Been having this weird cough for a couple of months. Turns out it was some variant asthma and bronchitis. Yucky stuff! Spent most of the time either catching up on things because I was sleeping a lot more or trying to sleep from not feeling well on top of that my kids have been sick tool. Now I'm feeling much better but still have to finish up my meds... according to doctor... booo I hate medicine.

Sorry about that! Let's talk about the fun stuff now. LOL So here again with another Just Inspirational Challenges Design Team Challenge... The theme is SUMMER. Our sponsor this month is Time for Tea Designs and I used Butterfly Fairy. There is another digi but with a toadstool and I kind of wish I used that one. lol Next time... next time.

Although it's hard to believe I used loads of Copic Markers for this little image. I sort of put together my card before I colored my image. I just needed some color inspiration and I grabbed some papers from BoBunny Country Garden 6x6 paper pad.

Materials used:
Copic Markers
Bo Bunny: Country Garden 6x6 Pad
Prima Marketing: Say It Crystals
La La Land Crafts: Butterflies Set Die
Magnolia DooHickey Dies: Lace Coaster
Wild Orchid Crafts: White Open Roses
Copic Various Ink & Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist

Don't forget to join in on the fun

Theme: SUMMER

Special Thanks to
Bunny Zoe's Crafts and Time for Tea Designs
who are this month's sponsors at J.I.C.

Thank you for visiting.

Egg-stra Special Friend

Hi Everyone,

Here with another fun project and monthly challenge at SBS.

I used SBS digi stamp Chickie Elisabete and for the background I used a Magnolia cling rubber stamp but I used baby wipes to change a few lines as well as paper piecing. I hope you like it... took me some time to make this card but it was fun either way.

Something new I tried. It's an easel card with two mini easels...
The sentiment us is one of SBS digis that came with the monthly challenge images.

Here is some of the paper piecing and altering the image a bit with baby wipes...
This is before I colored a little bit with my Copic markers. Took me a while to finish it because
I hadn't noticed that my baby ran off with my rubber stamp. I saw that she took something
and ran off I just looked for my scissors and saw that they were still on my desk so I didn't bother
to run after her... now I can't find my Magnolia stamp :( (booohooohooo)

Close up of Cheekie Elisabete. I love her.

Thank you so much for looking. I hope you liked my card.

Hugs,

Katya Bess

Working on Magnolia 3D Flower embellishments

Hello Everyone,
Pretty day today but didn't go outside.... blah... had to exercise then do house work and when I took a break from housework I decided to make embellishments for some future cards. I decided to make some Magnolia flowers, looked in my gypsy loaded carts and didn't see anything like a magnolia.... so I googled magnolia flower and magnolia leaves and there are a few different varieties but most look similar.

Leaves are from Gypsy Wandering and so its the main flower I welded leaves on to the flower petals for the pointed look. The smallest petals are just leave that I hid part of their inner design and distorted the shape then welded them into a flower petals-like shape. The stamen is just cut into slits the glue rolled them with Zip Dry.

Thank you for visiting.
