JIC DT: Embossing

Hello My Crafty Buddies,

Here with another Team A challenge from Just Inspirational Challenges. This week's challenge is EMBOSSING and we are sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps.

I used a round sentiment from Mother Sentiments and Angel Bear (click on the links and you right to them at the shop.)

Here's my card.

I used Copic markers, Copic Spica Atyou glitter pens and Sakura Gelly Roll to color my image.

Bear: E79, E57, E23 & E31
Wings: W3, W1, W00 and Clear Stardust
Halo: Y28, Y26 & Y23 Then Gold Copic Spica and Clear Copic Spica.
Background/Edge dots: B0000 and B21

For the embossing I used is An A2 sized Cuttlebug embossing folder called
D'Vine Swirls.
For the paper I'm not sure... I'm missing the cover...Ooops... but I know I
bought it at Michael's and it may or not be Recollections All Seasons 6x6 paper pad.

That's about it. Don't forget to link up your projects over at

Thank you Stitchy Bear Stamps for sponsoring us at
Just Inspirational Challenges this week.

Thanks for looking. Please leave a comment if you liked something. ;)

I will restore you to health...

Hello Everyone,

I was on a roll with sitting on my craft desk but hadn't been feeling well with too much cramping and back pain... (pregnancy things) So I had to stop :( I tried to color laying in my bed and it's not fast and practical as I'd like it to be plus with kids jumping or rolling around on the bed you can see how much of a challenge it can be LOL... well enough whining.

I created this card with a digi image from Robert Jackson you can check it out here- http://fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/just-hats.html
The digi is called:  Sunday Hat.

You can sort of see the shine/sparkle on her
hat, earrings, necklace, blouse and on her rose, which was
done with my Sakura gelly roll pen.
The Bible verse stamp is from Our Daily Bread Stamps.
I stamped/wet embossed the sentiment in silver
For the background I chose to dry emboss with an embossing folder
that looks like roses its from Provocraft/Cuttlebug
(sorry I don't have the name of the embossing folder)
My mom found me this super pretty ribbon at a thrift store (awesome find)
it's from K.D. Richards Inc- The Boutique Ribbon Collection

The rose on the lapel is also a Robert Jackson digi stamp
you can find it here:
and it's called: Rose
The card looks much more sparkly in person I'm just not as good as
capturing that with my camera.

Thank you for visiting.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is around the corner

Hello Crafty friends,

I hope all is well with everyone. Today I have a special card that I worked on using a Robert Jackson digi.
The Inks and Such challenge this week at http://jacksonsdigitalexpressions.blogspot.com/
is use PINK or the Breast Cancer Awareness theme.
Chana along with several other JDE designers have pledge to donate $0.25 to Breast Cancer Research for every entry on this week's challenge. Please post on your blogs, facebook and or twitter let your crafty friends know to join in on the challenge.

Here is my card and envelope to go with the card.
I used Robert Jackson's two digi images
Sunday Hat and Rose

For the envelope I only used the Rose and cut off the stem.
If you are going to use glue such as glossy accents or any wet glue make sure not
to glue it on the flap area with adhesive because it will make it wet enough to seal
the envelope...

I colored with Copic and Spectrum Noir markers.
I used a cuttlebug embossing folder
The Bible verse was printed on regular printer paper. I cut
several pages to add to the 3D look on the book. I used
Spellbinders labels seven (2nd to largest die) I cut the pink
part of the book with the largest die but then it seemed too large
so I trimmed it down with scissors.

I shrank the rose and printed 3 times then cut a few petals
to give it that 3D look.

I hope you enjoyed your visit. Make sure to participate in this week's challenge at
http://jacksonsdigitalexpressions.blogspot.com/
this week's sponsor is at JDE is Bugaboo Stamps.

Remember both women and men get breast cancer.
So I won't say get the "girls" checked (this time). Just make sure to do self exams and get checked
by a professional especially if you have a family history.

Here are some fun Breast Cancer Slogans you can use on your card or project:

Big or Small save them all

A feel a day keeps the doctor away

Thanks for the mammories

Stop the war in my rack!

Feed your faith and your fears will starve to death

Show you care, be aware

Real men wear pink

Have fun making something crafty and thank you so much for visiting.

Super Hero in the Toilet

Good morning Crafty Friends!

How all is well! Please excuse me for my little rambling at first... I'll get to my project in a minute or two...  you may skip if you want after the the "line" I created. Okay up this early during the school year... yeah I don't know why I'm doing this to myself I know I'll be sleepy when it's time to pick up my daughter from school. So yesterday I didn't get to do my little post because I had called in a plumber. Okay one toilet backing up hmmm... okay... but two toilets backing or flushing slow? Oh heck no!!! Before any doodoo or pee "spillage" I had to call a plumber in... asked the hubby for help and for some reason wasn't listening or reacting so before I had major clean up to do so I had to do it. Twice I found my little rascal one and half year old son trowing toys in the toilet (I took toys out and threw them straight to the OUTSIDE garbage). What's up with kids under 2 years putting things in the toilet?  It happened with my daughter, Jade, when she was his age at our old house with a red block and a toothbrush. My son Xzavier around 1, I know much younger he started walking AND climbing at 10 months. So now my son Tiberius is up to no good. I took these toys out the toilet hoping and praying there were no more in there.... but NO... couple of days later the toilets don't function properly... ugh! The plumber finds Avatar the Airbender and calls me... but who comes running after me? Tiberius and Xzavier; they want to know what was pulled out of the toilet! Excited over seeing that toy... before taking chances on the little one grabbing that nasty thing again had to throw that sucker OUT. The other toilet had a larger lego. Sometimes I hate legos and hotwheels I find those things everywhere in my house... not to mention all of those ABC magnets. Sometimes I wonder was I as fascinated with the toilet as a little 2 and under child? Maybe, I do have a toilet or say "outhouse" memories... LOL.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay on to my little project heeehee.

So school is in... I know not the only time to read books but I just kept hearing the word book or books and reading... not to forget Hunger Games, Twilight, True Blood Sookie Stackhouse Series... LOL so I had to come up with another bookmark and really need to make more. This time a more traditional styled bookmark and with a Robert Jackson image :)

I used the image Uh-Oh once again. I hope you don't get tired of her... at first I didn't know what to create with her but every time I look at my folder with Robert Jackson images I keep thinking of a new project to make with her. You can find Uh-Oh here: http://fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/lil-folks.html I feel that now-a-days you get surprised about a lot of things and this image is perfect for a lot of occasions. LOL Like: OMG He proposed!!! OMG my top college picks chose me!!! OMG by baby/child is going away to college!!! OMG you're pregnant! OMG I'm pregnant! OMG I'm getting old/ getting wrinkles... and the list goes on... my OMG this time is:

I came up with the sentiment and printed it over Kraft cardstock and
ran it through my Cuttlebug with a Spellbinders rectangle die. I used Broken China
distressed ink around the raised edges of the triangle.
I used the Kraft cardstock to Copic color in my image
because it gives it a different look and feel... I don't know dark and vintage sort of.
Sakura white Gelly Roll for the eyes, shirt, petticoat and stockings.
I know I'm horrible at lining things up so I'm trying to
"perfect" my fuzzy cutting...  and gluing as center as I possibly can....
still working on that too.
I used an eyelet for the ribbon hole.
The Ribbon is from Galena and it just says "Metalic" for the name
but it's more like an iridescent than a metalic.
The back layer paper is from DCWV's
The immortal love stack 12x12 paper
and I also ran than through the Cuttlebug with
Spellbinders die Deckled Rectangles.

Well that's all for now folks.
Have a great day ;) and thank you for stopping by.

My Pink Stamper's NSD Challenge # 1

 National Scrapbook Day Challenge #1

Hi Everyone,

Well I started this as soon as the challenge began but had technical problems and dealing with my kids all of us who have kids know how it's like. lol.
well here is my cupcake card.
I used:
The cupcake from Once Upon a Princess cartridge.
Cuttlebug embossing folder from the Once Upon a Princess set I used the cupcakes one.
For face I used one from the PK-641 Princess Faces 1 1/8th from Peachy Keen Stamps
The sentiment is the Clear Design Birthday Message from Hero Arts

inside I wasn't trying to be fancy just used a piece of scrap I had that was big enough to emboss an extra cupcake then i dabbed a little bit of color on it to pop a little more

The back.
It's a combination of me not having a good stamping technique and not inking my stamp correctly...

Thank you for visiting.
