Shades of Red

It's time for another Theme Week!
This time its all about using 3 shades of a color!
*Yes you MAY use more than three shades, but there is a min of three for this theme week!*

We would love for you to participate with us in our THEME WEEK, and its quite easy to do so!
Simply create a project using ANY Stamp Anniething product (as your main focal point) in the set "theme" for that month.
Post your project to the corresponding album over at our Face Book Group page (Stamp Anniething Stampers)!
You may enter as many projects as you wish, but you will only be counted as ONE entry person.
A minimum of 5 people (not including DT Members) is needed in order for a prize to be given.

So here we go for February's Theme Week!

Make ANY project using the 3 shades of ONE Color!

All projects must be uploaded by midnight PST March 4th to qualify
Again, a min of FIVE entries for a prize win!

Hello Everyone!
In honor of Black History Month and National Heart Month
I chose to make Savannah - Howdy Partner an African American Cowgirl
and my theme color to be red. I chose the dies and papers patterns to
show she can be a cowgirl and feminine too.

Here is what I created for today!
Savannah - Howdy Partner
I used the Desert Sand ink for a "no-lines coloring" on her hair, skin and lasso with Copic markers:
W5, W7, W9, E13, E15, E17, E33, E35 E18, R21 and R22...
for the clothing I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink
I shaded the red hat and boots with R46 and R35
since the paper is already red
then I fussy cut and paper pieced the clothing.
the edge dies are from Spellbinders
called Borderabilities Card Creator Dies Curved Borders 2
The flower I created with the Spellbinders Mega Dies: Carnation Creations,
Spellbinders Lacy Oval and Spellbinders Classic Oval dies.

Here is a Work-In-Process photo before I colored the hair
When you fussy cut and paper piece
patterned paper it makes you feel like
playing paper dolls like when you were a kid
or play pretend you're a seamstress...
LOL or is that just me? Teehee yea it's probably just me.

Here she is all dressed up for the Rodeo
I really love the little details on this stamp such as the
tiny stitching on her hat, skirt and boots- some real fine tailorin'. ;)

If you don't like to fussy cut like me then you can
chose to have the free SVG outline for Savannah HERE...

Thank you so much for looking.

Wintertime is Golden

Hi Everyone!

Today I'm just showing you a card I made to give out for Christmas. She is an image drawn by Elaine Cox I had found at Sweet Pea Stamps... that company is no longer and I may have to look for Elaine Cox's page to see if I can but more of her images. This one is called Moon of Wintertime.

I colored her with Copic markers.
A gold Sakura Gelly Roll for some shimmer, Copic Atyou clear for the snowflakes.
The 6x6 paper is from Craft Smith and it's called Holiday Foil...
I found that at Michael's and I almost put it back- it's fabulous with dies as you can see.
The Poinsettia I made a long time ago with my Cricut.
The layering die is from My Creative Time
The "Merry Christmas" dies are from Paper Smooches
called Christmas Words.

Here here it is from the side so you can see it's a gold foil cardstock

Hope you liked my card.

Christmas in July: TGF

Hello there Crafty Peeps,

Just stopping by to show off a quick (well not so quick initially) card I made. I colored this image a while back but just not made it into a card. I hope you like it. It's a Rubber Stamp that I actually have two of. LOL How did that happen I'm thinking I need to sell one or give one away... I'm 50%/50% on both ideas.

I used Holiday Anya just click on the link (but currently it's out of stock)

I used Spectrum Noir to color her and the background.
I cut that poinsettia with my Cricut a long time ago I just added Studio G glitter glue for the center
to finish it off. The Merry Christmas greeting is from a clear stamp that I don't have the packaging.

I hope you liked my little card.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hi Everyone,

Here with another JIC DT card.  We have a few sponsors this week and I'm using one image called Summer Flower you can find her at https://www.etsy.com/shop/ZuriVicePresidentJr.

I used Copic Markers and loved using different dies.
To make the flowers I used Spellbinders and a McGill stylus to shape my flowers and leaf.
I added Viva Decor Pearl Pen for the flower centers.

Materials used:
Copic Markers
Kate & Co/My Minds Eye: Oxford Lane 6x6 pad
Spellbinders dies
My Creative Time Doily Die

Valentines Bucket Swap Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!

Hope you all are having fun seeing what our swap buddies gave each other. If you're coming from Wendy's blog www.jazzydoodledesigns.com then you're in the right place. If you're just coming over to visit (awww thank you very much) please head on over to Simply Betty's Blog. The hop line-up is at the bottom of this post.

My swap buddy was Roz from Florida, very nice lady. Can't belive how many things we have in common from tv shows, to food, plants and crafting ;) Roz got me all of these goodies many which I have not used before and wanted to get but hadn't yet.

Love my goodies Thank you so much Roz.
This is her blog
http://www.wolfepak5.blogspot.com/
show her some crafty love :)
___________________________________________________________
I got a bucket online and the things I got a little to happy buying didn't fit
on her bucket so I decided to make her an Valentine's Day heart box
with the colors I think she'd like from what she posted on SBS fan site on FB.
The box is like 10"x11"
and I used one of Simply Betty's Digital stamps
My Funky Valentine Betty digi

I painted the heart and roses I made with pearlescent acrylic paint
but it's hard to tell from the pictures. Everything is very shimmery.

Note* I forgot to add the colorbox that's in the heartbox :(
but I added a bag of Tootsie Rolls before I took it to the post office.
Roz stated she loves dogs so I bought these peachy keen face stamps
I hope she loves them 'cause I don't have those myself. LOL
Those are some of the flowers I made and hand painted as well.
At Simply Betty I'm noticing that there are many many Steampunk
challenges and digis so I decided to go that route when buying the goodies.
I bought some of those things for myself and I haven't done steampunk besides
this heart box but hopefully I'll be able to start learning this Steampunk style.
I wasn't a Halloween person but Betty's images are so cute... I think I'm a bit
of a Halloween convert lol.
Anyway enough chatter from me... can you tell I'm at home with kids all day?
Heehee... next up is Stacey http://anastasiasarts.blogspot.com/ . Enjoy the hop everyone!

& thanks for visiting.

13 Days of Halloween, Day 12

Hello Everyone!

Just stopping by to show off another little card I've made using digi stamps from Simply Betty Stamps it's from the Alicia Bel line and I think she's so cute.

The sentiment is from Dilo en Espanol Set# 2: Queremos Pastel

I made these roses a while while back with my Spellbinder's die
Rose Creations

Here's a slight close-up with a little bit of better lighting.
I colored with almost all Copic markers this time exception of the cat's eyes
and the gray stone and gray shingles and window frames-
those were with Spectrum Noir markers.

I made a little card using Witchy Boo Betty and House of Usher from Simply Betty Stamps; She gave this house scene as a freeby for a day or two a while back on the Facebook fan page and am embarrassed to say that I didn't use it right away.

Hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by,

Christmas Season Birthday Card

Hello Everyone!

For the Sentiment I used a stamp from My Creative Time
The stamp set is called: Gift Card Sentiments

As you can see I'm too chicken to cut my stamp so I just inked
part of the stamp and wrapped the other part around the block
and it's okay 'cause it somewhat sticks to the block. (If I had a second set of these stamps I would be
bold enough to cut one set to interchange words)

Here is my finished front of the card.

I used the Spellbinders: Layered Poinsettia dies
the inside I used Viva Decor Pearl Pen (still working on making the "pearls")
I also used a die from the Spellbinders: Foliage set

The cardstock paper is from Recollections: Precious Metals
the background and so are the poinsettias

For sentiment layer I used Spellbinders: Lattice Rectangles
Thank you so much for visiting my page.
Hugs,

Katya Bess

Thank You Card - Tiger Lily

Good Morning Everyone!

Before I pick up my baby girl from pre-school I will post a card that I finished last week. I don't know if you're tired of these flower cards but I fell in love with making 3D flowers. I got this idea from
So I can't take credit for the idea or how the flower is assembled- the only thing is that instead of the punches she is using I used my cricut and and Gypsy to make my pedals and stamens.

I shaped the petals and stamens with the McGill styluses she uses in the video- much better then using the end-caps of my pens or markers.

I did come up with an idea for Lily buds because I've gotten lilies and I've sent lilies for a cousin and all of the lilies weren't blossomed. To make the buds I cut two green pieces of paper sort of in an elongated oval shapes and shaped each one individually. Then paste them together on one edge only and shape it in a cup again in case it flatten out a little.  After that I used some pearlescents paint (orange) since buds usually show the color of the lily. I also used pearlescent orange paint to paint only the centers of each peatal before I added the little specks with my marker (let it dry of course so I made lots of petals to use another time) This doesn't have to be pearlescent paint but that's the only type of paint I had a the time... but it did turn out okay it gave it a light and pretty shimmer.

Please excuse my dingy lighting it was night time and my lamp is not that bright for picture taking.

Most of the time I add water to my card stock when I shape the petals or leaves to make flowers but normally I make them much smaller so this time the first Lily I made looks a bit wrinkled and the second one I didn't use water at all and it has the smoother look. I guess it just depends on the size of the flower.

Hope you liked them. Thank you so much for stopping by.
Have a fun, crafty and blessed day!

Thank You Cards

Good evening everyone,

Just wanted to share a card I did a little while ago and haven't had a chance to post it. Hope you like it.

My brother Francisco wanted a thank you card for a counselor/mentor. I used Spellbinders Rose Creations to make the rose. I used a quote and poem by Leo F. Buscaglia.

Front of the card

you can see some of the dimension here from my Spellbinders Roses
and foliage. The butterfly is from one of my Martha Stewart Cricut Cartridges. so is the lattice fence which I used two to weld together and then had to cut a few little pieces with an x-acto knife.

The front again slightly different lighting

That's a stamp I had which is what you can see through the lattice fence
from the front.

Added more paper to the back to add more weight
since the front of the card is so heavy from the roses I made.

Thanks for visiting. Hope you enjoyed looking around.

Happy World Card Making Day

Hello Everyone and Happy World Card Making Day!!!

All day I've been on The Greeting Farm Release Chatter Day which is at Splitcoasters now and I'm a newbie there too. I've been on bloghops, dealing with my kids and making cards --- wheew no housework. Oh yea, I take that back... I did wash clothes at 7:00AM-ish but that was it because I was determined to get some cards done today.

This one I'm entering on http://www.mypinkstamper.com/2011/10/christmas-card-challenge.html

Here you can see the items I used to color and cut my digi stampCheeky Kitty from The Greeting Farm

Here's a close up of the colored image - a little bid of bad lighting though.

For the Christmas background specialty paper I used K&Company: Yuletide
I typed my own sentiment. All I want for Christmas is Santa's bad boy list
I also typed the "scroll" for Santa's Naughty list with bad boy character names
from" Being Human, True Blood and Twilight lol Can't you tell I'm a Vampire
and Warewolf tv show fan?
Okay, for the fireplace and for the Poinsettia I used Cricut Cartridge Joys of the Season.

I really hope you gals and guys liked my card. It's a little more for the nice but sometimes naughty ;)

Thanks for stopping by and hopefully everyone is have a fun time!

*hugs*
