March Kraftin' Kimmie Release Day Hop

Woohoo! It's here! It's here!!

Today we are celebrating the 

amazing release of ALL of our

I colored Birthday Bianca with Copic Markers,
The sentiments are from the same Birthday Bianca set
and the design paper is from Doodlebug Design.

March Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Peeks Day 1

Welcome, welcome, welcome!

Today we are kickin' off our March Krafty Peeks

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

We have a theme for this month's stamp sets and it's a category that every stamper must have in their stash!
We're celebrating BIRTHDAYS!

Today we have a totally SASSY new set
by artist Melissa Baker-Nguyen!!
It's called KICK ASSY BIRTHDAY!!!

I'm super excited to share this set because.....some of you have seen it already! That's because it was the Super Secret stamp set that was included in the latests Krafty Kard Kit!!! So those who preordered it already have it in their inky little fingers and you'll get to see their creations today and on release day!
This totally awesome set comes with a bunch of sassy larger sentiments that work for boys, girls, men or women!
There are also a selection of birthday themed images including balloons, stars, cake, candles and ice cream! Just wait 'til you see all the totally different creations today!

Hi there! Back again with an inspiration card for Kraftin' Kimmie as March Guest Designer. 
When I saw these I was really excited to use these sentiments. 
Here is the first card I have created with one of the sentiments from the Kick Assy Birthday set. :P 


I used Distress Inks for the background 
and a Uni-Ball Signo Broad White pen to create a galaxy scene. 
The rectangle die is from My Creative Time and the balloon dies
are from C.C. Designs. 

I decided to keep it sort of simple to focus on the sentiment but still have plenty of color
for some interest. For me CAS cards are a little challenging but I love adding lots of colors anyway.
Since I used Black Soot for  the edges and in between some of the bright colors I wanted to 
give it a high contrast with a white card base and used white paper to stamp the sentiment and make it stand out as well. 

I chose this stamp from the set because it gave me a little giggle and
it's perfect for my older crafty friends. LOL You can use it for whomever you'd like but my crafty friends are the ones that came to mind first- one in particular knows I like to mess
with her on her birthday cards. :P

Irene's Birthday and Blog Hop 2014

Hey Everyone,

Today it's sweet and playful Irene's birthday (she's Corinne's sweet angel twin) heehee. We are making their blog hops separate since they do have separate birthdays being twins.... How cool is that???  Irene is always so sweet and like Corinne has some amazing coloring skills, from Color pencils to Spectrum Noir to Copic.... she's can also be our partner in crime when we playfully tease Corinne. heehee. Thank you Betty for letting us have this cute cute stamp, I soooo picture Irene with these sweets and posing like this. LOL

I colored my image with Copic markers
I also used the same paper line that I used with Corinne's 
card which was the Pebble's Birthday Wishes paper pad
I used Sakura gelly rolls as well to add a little shimmer to her shirt and shoes.

Happy BIG 40th Birthday Betty

Hey there Everyone,

Hello Everyone,

Today is the big day... It's Betty's Birthday and she's Forty!!! LOL Old fart. LOL jk I was telling her the other day Hello Kitty was turning 40 years old too. heehee Que viejas estan! :P jajajajaja mentira... okay solo un poquito.

So we thought we would make it as special as we possibly can!

Happy Sweet Sixteen

Hello Everyone!

Today is a special young lady's 16th birthday. Happy Birthday Rio!!! In honor of Rio's birthday we're celebrating with a card share and blog hop.

Hi Rio and Happy Sweet Sixteenth Birthday. I hope you are having the time of your life. Always stay smart and sweet :) I wish you the best in all of your endeavors now and the rest of your life. Hugs.

Now on to the hop. If you are coming from the very talented Jackie Randolph's blog then you're in the right place. If not then you should start at Simply Betty's Blog 

I used Rio Mad Hatter Reads Digi and I used the Surprise Pop-Out Card Die and Stitched Gift Card Pocket Die to create my card. Here is a link of how the die works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3TxSexNT-o#t=276

Here is the card I made.

 Here's a close-up. I cropped and it made it a close up so it can fit on that little flip section of the card.
This is the other side when I open or flip the card for a fun surprise. I so love this die. 
I created that layer... with Kraft Paper from Recollections- it's called:  "Printed Cardstock Timeless."
I kept eyeing it at Michael's LOL and now every time I look at it I'm absolutely in love with it. LOL
 .... here is part of my process to give it a more dimensional look
I used only Copic markers to color my image.
