7 Kids Crafts: Monsters Only

Hello Crafty Friends,

I had used this stamp on my previous post here: Dreaming of a White Christmas and I got so many questions about the coloring that I decided to do a facebook live with it even though I don't think I'm an expert at color pencils at all. You can check out the live here if you have time: Katya's Facebook Live at 7 Kids Customer's Create using Beaming elf. Kelly has ordered more of this cute elf from Penny Black and you'll be able to color him up too when it's restocked. During my live coloring I had a crafty friend, Sheila Fisher said she was planning to use him with Halloween colors. I thought this little elf colored in Halloween colors was a brilliant idea and after the live I had to ask her if it was okay to use that idea and she said yes. Yay! The first thing I thought was to color him up in green skin to make him into a little cute goblin and give him candy corn colored stripes. haha

The colors are listed below.

The Doodlebug papers are still in the shop and you can find them here:
Doodlebug Designs- 6x6 pad Candy Carnival

The banner and the sentiment which are all part of a 90 piece die cut set are available here:
Doodlebug Designs - Chit Chat Die Cuts - Candy Carnival
(note: I did trim the white from the banners/pennant.)

Beaming - Penny Black

Polychromos used:

Cold Grey III, Rose Carmine, Burnt Ochre, Black,
Orange Glaze, Light Cadmium Red, Purple Violet, Mauve

7 Kids Crafts: Boo is Helping out

Hello Everyone!

I know it has been a while since I posted. I'm hoping that in the next few days I can catch up and post a few more cards or Artist Trading Cards for you all to see.

For this card I wanted to do a big mash up of images from Sweet November Stamps. I used a mermaid called Treasure (I believe she was a vault image), I cropped her and I drew a long skirt and for her arms and torso I just colored it both dark gray and black to give her that corset look with a long sleeve shirt. I used Free Witches Hat (literally it's currently free $0.00), I used Boo's Pumpkin and Tabitha (which comes in a set.)

Treasure (vault image)

I colored everything with Copic markers except the "gold metallic marker pen"

Here's a little background on Boo's Pumpkin: "This darling little specter can be found haunting the pumpkin patch every October night leading up to Halloween. He is searching for only the biggest and best pumpkins out there because those special gourds make for ideal jack o'lantern carving."

When I first saw Boo, I knew I wanted to put him in a scene helping out mom. I didn't want him to actually be a ghost but to be dressed up as one for Halloween. I chose Treasure to be the Mom because she looks as if she's ready to catch the big pumpkin, as Boo is bringing it to the front door. I also loved the way her hair is flowing and you can tell it's a windy autumn day. I used my own door as reference (it's actually not wood nor that color lol) but I wanted an open door. Then I added a brick siding in various Yellow-Reds and Earth tones.  Oh yea, I colored little curious Tabitha as a black tuxedo kitten sneaking next to Treasure to see what is going on. I hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Here are some of the Copic markers I used:
E00, E11, R20,
Hair: C9, C7, YG07, YG67
Eyes: YG07, YG67
Lipstick: RV19, RV99
Outfit: FV2, BV17, T6, T8
Kitten: C7, C5, C4
Ghost: C1, C0, RV00
Bricks: E97, E99, E04
Wood: E17, E59, E18
Pumpkin: YR04, YR24
Metal accessories and hardware: Gold Metallic Craftwork Pen

LMMS: Wicked Good Friend!

Hello and Welcome back to my blog.

For this week's Inspirational Thursday card for Little Miss Muffet Stamps. I used Polka Dot Pals Tamsin and a Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces. I like that there's a twist on this little witch because she has some Steampunk Gear on. I think next time I create with this image I will work with a steampunk background as well- probably one of those cool ones from Make It Crafty. For now I just wanted to make it bright and a tad bit of a spooky night sky.

I used lots and lots of colors to create this card and had fun doing so.... that's some of my
crafty mess but too embarrassed to show my entire desk. LOL

The odd thing this time is that I didn't complete the face and coloring first like I usually do.
I was a little bit hung up on the leather colors I wanted to use. I knew I wanted her to be a redhead though. I think you'll be proud of me this time 'cause I actually took note (pictures) of most the colors I used but I still typed the ones I didn't take a photo of. Usually I get into my coloring and don't write colors down. haha

The Copic Colors + 1 Polychromos Color Pencil I used:
Leather: E99, YR24 and E39
Blouse/Scarf: R29, R56, R39 and R46
Pants: E53, E84 and E55
At first I wanted to do some copper but I then changed my mind because
I thought it would conflict with her red hair and reddish brown leather.
I went with a brass tone for her goggles, buttons/hardware.
Brass: Y23, Y26, Y28, E87 and E84
Lens: BG13, B63, BV13, V22 and YR23
Skin: E0000, B000, E21, E000 and E30
Hair: E09, YR23 and YR27
Eyes: YG61, YG67, YG61 and YG00
Bat: V04, V06, V22, R56, N4 and N6
Broom:Y15, E84, E43,  E71, E42 and R39
Moon: Y00, Y15 and Y11
Night Sky: BG11, BG13, BG05 and B28
To create the clouds I scribbled the 0 Colorless Blender
Clouds: 0, B28, BG11, Y00
and a Polychromos Color Pencil White.
and to create the spooky tree I use drew in some lines with N9
trees: N9

Here's a close-up

I hope you liked my card,

Hi Everyone and welcome to Day #1 of Stamp AnnieThing's  September Release!

Halloween is around the corner, so we decided to do some costume kids
(which you can really use year round, not specific just to Halloween)
Today its all about Kelly

How stinking cute is Kelly?

In her Kitty headband and leggings carrying her kitty purse, she is purr-fect for you feline loving friends! Included is a small "you're purrfect" sentiment as well.

She is perfect for everyday occasions , not just Halloween!

Kelly will be available in the store FRIDAY along with the other 2 stamps we show you for you this week!!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Here is my project with the new Kelly stamp!

It was so much fun to color her. I gave her some funky purple hair. I colored her up Copic markers
I know I accidentally made socks instead of leggings, but it shows the versatility of the image ;)
Also, it was my very first time making a shaker card- The non-bulky method. It wasn't as complicated as I thought it would be. :)

Stamps will be available in the Stamp AnnieThing STORE on FRIDAY

Thanks for joining us for our September Release and have a great day!

SBS: Rio's 17th Birthday

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to say "Happy Birthday Rio!" Hope you are having a very special time young lady. I wish you the best in life- ALWAYS!

I used this image which Betty particularly drew just for Rio's birthday but of course you can buy it and use it for whenever you'd like to use it. Here is the card I made for Rio's birthday using

http://simplybstamps.net/item_3069/Franken-Make-Up-Rio-Digi.htm

I colored her with Copic markers
used a bunch of Halloween stuff that I've gotten in swaps. I would say all decorative
elements and papers were all given in a swap... except the roses and the doily.
Rio love Frankensten so of course I made here in her classic wedding dress only
it's a little tainted.... just to add that Halloween touch to it.
 added some blood splatter.
I like that the Halloween border is so glittery- I cut a few of them just to add
to the areas that were sort of naked on the card.

Will be mailing this out soon...

Happy Birthday Rio.

Thanks for stopping by,

Katya Bess

I hope you're having a wonderful Saturday.

Today continuing on 13 Days of Halloween over a thttp://simplybettystamps.blogspot.com/

Today's challenge is a Color Combo!
Use Traditional Halloween Colors.
Orange, Purple, Lime Green and black and it's Anything Goes!

Here is the link for the actual challenge

The winner from this challenge will part of the Dia de los Muertos Party Release Hop! That sure sounds fun to me :D

I used Copic markers to color her.
The papers are from a grab bag online yard sale Betty had a year or two ago.
From We Are Memory Keepers.
She is popped up and for added dimension.
The glitter stickers are from Making Memories: Spellbound.

Close up... I wasn't too happy with the hair so I added more streaks (after the photos)
and finally the inside of the card. I really liked those little kids Trick or treating
so I wanted to show the paper more.

I hope you liked my card. I really do try to think
of Halloween stuff since it's not what I normally do but working on it. LOL

SBS DT: Use Cotton of Gauze

Hello Everyone!

Here to welcome you to the 5th day of the 13 Day's of Halloween over at Simply Betty Stamps Blog and to announce that today is my official first day as an SBS DT member! Woohoo! I had to like double check with Betty cause she asked me to be on her DT and I couldn't believe it. Ahhhhh! LOL I did the happy dance probably like 20 minutes later with Jade cause I still couldn't believe it for a little while... I had to ask her are you sure you want ME? LOL She must of really liked my Zombie Bday Betty or she must of been desperate I don't know.... LOL I hope that I can come up with some cool and interesting cards while I'm part of the team since to me I feel that they're all so competitive and creative it'll be hard to keep the ideas coming but I'll try my best.

Well for my first project I had to work with a Halloween image from Jude and Friends lines and use cotton or gauze.

I made an easel card with Little Dragon Jude (click on the link if you'd like to buy it.)

I colored the image with Copic markers.
The gauze/sterile pad I stretched it, ripped off some pieces, added red sticky take
to make sure it was secure. I didn't want to use glue because I didn't want it
to come through the front. I drew eyes and mouths with my Sakura pen.
The designer papers from We R Memory Keepers: Spookville lots
of pieces were scraps from a previous project and
I got those from a Secret Halloween Swap last year.

Here is a little bit of the side view of the easel card.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you liked it.

Make sure to enter all of the fun challenges going
but the challenges have a limited time so get to it. :P

Again, thanks for visiting.

I Love You For Your Braaaains

Hey Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a good old time this weekend. Today I plan on catching up on a few projects. I finally finished a card that I had colored the image for like a week ago but the card base was just taking me forever. It was a fun project just the figuring out papers takes me a while. #cardmakerproblems

http://simplybettystamps.blogspot.com/ Released some new digis last week and Zombie Bday Betty; I just had to get her even though I'm not THAT into zombies. This was was rather pretty. LOL

So here's my card and I had to think Zombie Tattoo- or at least for the challenge.

Here is my completed card. I was thinking tattoo lettering that I am able to write or really
that would take me too long. I really liked how my blood came out.
I used both Copic and Sakura pens to create the blood.
The paper is mostly from DCWV: The Street Lace Stack.
This one shows the colors a lot closer to how it shows on the card.
I took this picture outside while it was sunny.
More of my own handwriting with random words that fit the image.
And finally here is a shot of the side so you can sort of see the layers.
I used the doubled sided adhesive foam to pop it up.

I had so much coloring this image like I just had nothing to do. LOL
Very relaxing to color although my kids were going nuts
and having their way in my living room and dining room.

I used this sketch from Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps challenge on Kit & Clowder FB group

Thank you so much for stopping by.
