LMMS Winter Cheer Simone

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving Day!

I hope you are having a wonderful day wether you stay at home or had to go to work. Today I'm showing a card with an image called Jr. Hatter Simone from  Little Miss Muffet Stamps This time I decided to color her blonde and put her somewhere cold but she looks really cheerful despite the cool climate. LOL

Here is my card. I used all Copic Markers for this image.
Here are the colors I used on Jr. Hatter Simone
skin BG000, E0000, E000, E21, R20, R30, R83
hat, skirt and boot socks V17, V15, V09, V06
leggings and shirt BG10, BG32, BG72
hair E50, E51, Y00, Y21, Y26
boots E21, E33, E34, E35
sky B21
water B02
snow B00
penguin C7, C4, C3, YR16, Y38

The papers are from Doodlebug Design called Frosty Friends
I really wanted to use some of that paper because of the cute penguins and then I
layered more that I usually do that I ended up covering all but one little
penguin. LOL
(I think I'm gonna try and use up all of that paper so I can buy myself
a new Doodlebug paper stack maybe not this one or maybe yes. haha)
I was trying to look for some flowers that grow in the Arctic and I did
see some flowers similar to the white and purple ones I have.
The white and purple flowers were gifted to me from my Crafty Friend
Carmen Shannon a few years back along with a bag will of random flowers-
it was really nice of her.  :)
The corner and border snowflake punches are from Martha Stewart that
I've had for years and both are under used. lol

TTHP DT: Stitchy Bear wood eld snow globe

Hello Everyone!

Hope you're having a happy Monday. Today I'm showcasing a shaped card for TTPH's 62nd Blog Challenge. WOW!

I been pretty busy but still trying to cut in some time for crafting... literally... I'll explain. Ha!

So since I've been a little under the weather and not enough hours to complete certain tasks I've been trying to find ways to cut in some time. So I didn't have time to set up my Cricut... cause it's boxed for the moment and I put away my Silhouette wires. My hubby and I have been moving things around the house and getting rid of stuff.... don't worry my crafty stuff isn't going anywhere. LOL So besides that I was low on time and that I'm a little bit lazy at times.... I decided to hand cut my snow globe card. Yup, I centered my largest circle Spellbinder on an A2 card and traced lightly with a pencil on the outer part. For my image I lightly as well traced but on the inner part of the circle without tracing over the feet. For the blue layer I actually used my Cuttlebug because I already had it next to my desk and I still needed an in between layer. For the Snowflakes I used two Martha Stewart punches that came as set and I rarely use them as corner punch or a border punch. I always use them solely for the snowflakes what a shame right? LOL So that was it and it didn't take long. What took longer was trying to make a nice bow... which I still feel that I failed miserably. I'm not used to working with that type of ribbon- it's a little harder to manipulate and it's a little thicker than I'm used to.

Okay so enough chatter... Here is my card.

I colored the image with Copic markers.
I lightly used some drying Colorbox inks to shade around the edges
then I added dots light dots to the background and drew in some snow mounds.

I colored in some white snow with my Sharpie extra fine point paint pen for white snow
and with my Sakura gellyroll for the shimmer

Wasn't too bad and it didn't take me too long.
The longest part was the coloring and then trying to fix the box.

Well, I hope you can join us this week at
Make a shaped card and make sure that you're only entering to 10 challenges for your card to be considered for a prize.

Thank you to Stitchy Bear Stamps

Good morning Everyone!!!

Here with another Just Inspirational Design Team project.

The roses were all white and I colored them with my Copic markers...
one my kids used up my entire Copic Air Can... Noooo!!!
Maybe the hubby will just get me the Copic Air Compressor... LOL yea right! A girl can dream right?
I decided to go on the simple side since I'm so challenged with Card Sketches...
It came out a little better than I pictured in my head.
I also hand wrote the sentiment....
"It's easy to spot a Lady"
for those that can't read my chicken scratch.

A Teen Dark Knight's Birthday

Hi back again!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic day. Just posting another card I created this week using another Simply B Stamp. Joining Day 16 Challenge with Corinne Jones and Sharon Brown I chose the second challenge: For Teen Scene Hollywood: We were to recreate a movie scene on our project.

The stamp is called Christian the Dark Hero and you can get it here:
http://simplybstamps.net/item_1504/Christian-the-Dark-Hero-Digi.htm

I love Batman movies and my favorites are the newer Batman versions especially The Dark Knight. In this scene The Joker crashes a party then grabs Rachel and tries to intimidate her with his knife and tells one of his thousand stories of how he got his "smiley face" but then Batman (Bruce Wayne) comes to her rescue. The Joker of course always wants Batman to take off his mask.

Since this is a more kid friendly image I felt like the party should have more kid friendly beverages and decorations. I fast drew the party scene myself since I couldn't find a table digi background that wasn't girly or too much stuff going on. Drawing my own backgrounds and elements is another favorite thing for me to add to my cards or projects. I colored the background with Copics and Batman with both Copic and Spectrum Noir markers. The Sentiment, I found online but typed it up on my computer and cut the endges to make it look like torn edges. I hand cut up an image of a bat then inked the edges to make them look like sharp edges... this is my version of a Batarang. Silly, I know. LOL

Hope you like my creation. Thanks for stopping by,

Burlesque 2 Bloghop

Hi Everyone!

I bet you're having a super fun time hoping. I you're coming from the very creative Miss Laura's blog http://craftylittlewoman.blogspot.com/ then you're in the right place, if not then you'd want to start at: Simply Betty's Stamps Blog: http://simplybettystamps.blogspot.com/

This was colored like a month ago and we all had to keep them a secret this entire time. Here is my card:

I used Betty Pucker Up digi stamp
You can find here:
http://simplybstamps.net/category_328/Betty-Burlesque-2-Digis.htm
or here
http://www.aliciabel.com/public/en/sexy/73-marilyn-lipstick.html
If you've shopped here before you'll notice the price reduction on these fabulous stamp ;)

I hadn't added a sentiment since I wasn't sure I was going to give it to
one of my girly friends or my hubby.
I used both Copic and Spectrum Noir to color her up.
The Paper is from a 6x12 double sided paper pad I have from Crafty Secrets. I love that paper!

It's not very well pictured but I colored her legs first,
then I used a Sakura gelly roll to draw in the stockings in a cross pattern
so they look like very sexy shimmery and sheer stockings.
I used the Copic Spica glitter pen to add to her lipstick (both the lips and tube).

That's it for now ladies and gents. Sorry couldn't show more at the moment. I colored more but
with my daily tasks didn't get a chance to put them on cards YET. You
will definitely see more of these little ladies they're so much fun to color.
Thank you so much for stopping by -- Leave a comment let me know you stopped by ;)
Next up is the my fun, super talented and angelic bloggy friend, Miss Sharon http://www.mrslumpys.blogspot.com/

Christmas card swap hosted by Cricut Crafts

Hi Everyone!

I'm back for a little while.... Just wanted to show the cards I made for a Christmas Card Swap I joined. It was a small group which was good for me because of family life adjustments here and there (new baby) but I really wanted to join something this year. It ended up being 6 of us total so I only had to make 5 cards but I made an extra card which I will mail out to a Hello Kitty fan/bloggy friend lol. Anyway, here are my Hello Kitty snow globe cards:

I hadn't really used my Cricut in a long time and on top of that I hadn't
used my Hello Kitty cartridge in a really long time.
 The cards measure 5x7.
Carts I used are: Hello Kitty Greetings, Create a Critter and Joys of the Season.
I used Stikles for the falling snow holes.
The snowflakes are from Martha Stewart's Aspen Snowflake around the page punch set .
The Hello Kitty rubber stamp on the envelope is from Target.
The "Merry Christmas" sentiment is from My Creative Time.
The Buttons on Hello Kitty's coat are from Viva Decor Pearl Pens
Here is a close up of the card. I mailed all of these in
cellophane envelopes so that my recipients were able to use
blank envelopes... I mailed them all out on the 1st of December
I hope all of the ladies have received them. I'm still waiting for one card.
The ladies are: Lourdes (swap host), Luz, Jessie, Gloria, Gina and myself (Katya)
You can request to join the facebook group at:
There are a lot of talented ladies there.
Some even have YouTube videos with tutorials.
I love the cards I received. I hope I wasn't too bad for my first swap
and hope they liked the cards I made for them.
Can you believe my daughter Jade got to do a card swap before me? LOL
I'd like to finish stating this was a fun experience for me
especially checking my mailbox with my daughter Jade and opening the cards together.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sympathy Card

My Granny-in-law just had a brother that passed away and wanted to make her a card. This is not the card I intended to do but at the last minute after making all of these paper roses [that you'll see at a later post] I changed my mind on the layout and theme so I left them out and put another flower I previously made with the same color paper.
Items used-
*Clear Stamps: Cross, from Spiritual Sketches #99548 by Inkadinkado
and Everyday Sayings CL342 by Hero Arts.
*Brush Markers by Marvy Uchida
*Stickles by Ranger: Star Dust, Green and Yellow
*Cardstock Paper: the Lavender one from the Pastels collection made by Recollections
*Flower: cricut cut from cartridge Accent Essentials- Accnt24s (petals) page 55 and Accnt33s (leaves) page 64
