7 Kids Crafts: I love you in so many ways

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I'm sharing a card made with two sets from the latest Penny Black Inc release, make sure to grab some of these cute stamps sets at 7 Kids Crafts Store while supplies last. For this somewhat simple card I used: Penny Black IncTake Me Away and Penny Black Inc: Love Language.

To color these cute bears that are floating away via balloons I first used a Spectrum Noirs as a base and then added shading details with color pencils. I wanted the teddy bears to sort of represent my hubby and I so I made one dark brown and one lighter brown.

Take Me Away and Love Language

I used both Polychromos and Prismacolor pencils.
Polychromos:
Burnt Umber, Caput Mortuum, Black, Burnt Ochre, Dark Red,
Fhuchsia, Rose Carmine, Cold Grey VI
the sky was done lightly with Light Ultramarine
Prismacolor:
Sienna Brown
Uni-ball Signo White Angelic

Although I stamped my sentiment with my Misti I did not realize that my ink was kind of dry and attempted to go over it several times but my image shifted and had to go over the font with a gel pen.

I hope you like the card even though I messed it up with how my sentiment came out.

Don't forget to participate all month long with this new release.
Everyone who participates this month will get an exclusive Tot
next month or you could possibly win all of next month's release as well.

7 Kids Crafts: Gingy have a holly jolly Christmas

Hello Crafty Friends!

Last week over at 7 Kids Crafts there was a vault release with sweet Gingy. There were 5 images in total.

For today's card I used Gingy with Popcorn by Sweet November Stamps. I colored him up with Polychromos pencils and I used both a soft and burnishing techniques depending on the area I was coloring. I used an older Hello Bluebird sentiment from the Typed Christmas sentiment set. I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Clair: Nocturne.

I loved coloring and giving little Gingy a background setting for his little popcorn and holly berry garland. I started with some big pine tree needles to emphasize on Gingy's small stature. Then I sort of filled in the background with a big Christmas tree skirt. Then added a dark wood floor, white baseboard and a creamy yellow wall. To add some shine to the frosting and holly berries, I added glossy accents and let dry overnight before cropping down with the rectangle die by My Creative Time.

I hope you get a chance to play with theses cute little Gingys if you grabbed them

Summer/Beach Swap Card

Hello Everyone,

This card is for a swap buddy in Florida, so I wanted to create a beach scene using the image that was sent to us by Ann Kelly from Stamp AnnietThing.  I've done several cards with beach scenes before but the waves here were totally inspired by Amy Young's latest beach cards. My daughter has a similar hat but I actually took the color inspiration from multicolored hat I saw online.

I used Copic markers to color entire image but I did add a little color pencil on the eyes to make her blue eyes stand out. I added uni-ball Signo Angelic to the eyes and to the foam details at the edge of the shore. At the end I drew in some flying birds (but don't look too closely... heehee) I chose this hair and skin color because I wanted the little chibi to sort of look like her. :D

Thank you very much Ann for the free digi stamp and
for having this little swap.

Thanks you for stopping by,

7 Kids Crafts: Hello from the Beach

Hello Everyone!

It's Vault Week over at 7 Kids Crafts with 3 images by Sweet November digital stamps. Hit the newest button and you'll get right to them and don't forget these vault images are out for just one week.

Sweet November - Lily Tadpole
Sweet November - Tadpole
Sweet November - Phoebe Tadpole

Here is some excerpt for Lily Tadpole: "It's summer in Sweet November Land and while the mermaids are migrating off the coast we are going to hit the beach and meet some very special pixies who are always up for fun and exciting times when the weather starts to warm up. So grab a towel and slip on your flip flops 'cause we're heading down to the sandy shore where the Tadpole swim team are chillin'.

Sure, little Lily loves to jump into the waves and splash around with all her pals but she may just love lounging on her beach towel even more. There's nothing more relaxing than sunning on that white sand with a good book and a friend or two to chat and gossip with. If you have the time to settle down next to her I promise that you will get an ear full of all the latest going-ons in Sweet November Land. Just be sure to borrow some of Lily's sunscreen so you don't get burned while hanging out. ;)"

Today I'm sharing the card I created with Sweet Pole - Lily Tadpole and a Make It Crafty Background rubber stamp is called The Beach. The "HELLO" writing on the sand drew/wrote in myself. I created a frame with two rectangle dies from My Creative Time. The paper is from Doodlebug called Sweet Summer still available at 7 Kids Crafts.

When I was done with the skin I put the image aside and put the markers away so I only
have the skin colors and the hair colors.

Copic Markers:
E0000, BV00, E00, E21, R11
W00
Polychromos:
Caput Mortuum

W5, W7, W9

LMMS: Chrissie Let It Snow

Hello Crafty Friends!

I hope you've been having a lovely day/evening. It's almost that time again... Christmas time and some of us (me actually) don't have enough Christmas cards created! Yikes! Every year I grab a new Christmas cardstock or paperpad because I think I'll be working on Christmas cards all year long and then I don't get to make as many as I want. Luckily it's still November and have a chance to make cards for a few family members, some teachers and some of my crafty friends- I hope!

On to my card....
I started with a rubber stamp Polka Dot Pals Chrissie from
Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I also used Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces clear stamp set
I had lots of fun coloring her up on Kraft colored cardstock- to me it gives her
a slight vintage look.
I colored her up with Copic markers and then went in with a few stores of
Polychromos colored pencils.

Some of the Copic colors I used were
B32
R17, R46, R59
Y15, Y35, Y23, Y26, Y28,
W9, W7, W5
YG63, G94
W3, W1
then I laid a little color pencil on top for lighting
Uni-ball Signo White Angelic for the snow and eye lights.

For the colored layered background I used a die from
My Creative Time and the die for Let It Snow sentiment
is a die from Our Daily Bread Designs.

Here's a close-up
I really enjoyed making this card.
I think I will make more in different colors- at least to practice.
I've been playing along with
#thedailymarker30day coloring challenge and really enjoying it
especially with this card- I finished all of the coloring in one day.

Don't forget that there are Anything Goes challenges over at
There's also a sale going on at the shop various stamps

LMMS: Polka Dot Pals Febiana

Hello Everyone!

I hope you're having a lovely day. Today I am showcasing a card using Polka Dot Pals Febiana, one of the newest digital stamps from Little Miss Muffet Stamps shop. I also, used one of the faces from Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces set.

Here is what I've created for this Inspirational Thursday. I had so much fun coloring Polka Dot Pals Febiana I colored Polka Dot Pals Febiana as my interpretation for Storm from X-Men. Storm is very powerful and a leader among her mutant and human peers. Because she is so powerful I decided to add that hashtag #girlpower instead of leaving the card without a sentiment.

Copic colors:
E13, E17, E27, E29, R35
Y23, Y26, Y28, R30, R46, R39
C9, C7, C5
C3, C1

Copic Multi-liner Black

Prismacolor:
PC PC1063 and PC938

I colored her up with Copic Markers and to add a few gold details I used the Uni-ball Impact Gold, as well as a little bit of Prismacolor to give her some hair strands to her white hair. For her eyes, I colored over the pupils and added Glossy Accents over the entire iris.

For the background I used Distress Ink Weathered Wood from the center and up, then Evergreen Bough to represent an ocean or large body of water. When I was satisfied with covered I went in with Black Soot on the side edges and the top.

When I was done adding color to the background, I drew tiny lines with my Uni-ball Signo Angelic white pen going in one direction to represent rain.
Then I mapped out where I wanted to add lighting bolts from where she is lifted in the air.

The lightning bolts were too light so I used a white Prismacolor to make them stand out a little more- not quite as white as I had hoped but it was good enough.

It was a pretty simple card to make, the only thing that took me longer was the coloring because I was experimenting with other colors.

I hope you are able to join in on the
Anything Goes Challenge
and also check out the other fabulous designs from the
Design Team and Guest Designers.

Here is what I created with Glitter!

I wanted to create a fun bookmark for my 10 year old daughter
Jade Bess she also has a crafty blog http://writteninjade.blogspot.com/ :)
I used Rosie Fair as well as the sentiment that came with it.
The little magical stars are actually from one of the new releases
Kick Ass Birthday  I used Distress Ink Broken China for the background sky
then I also stamped the stars with Distress Inks Broken China
to give the background a magical look.
I used Copic Markers to color my image

Check out those glittery wings and stars!I love it! :D
For Glitter I used Spectrum Noir Sparkle Glitter Brush pens for the
wings and skirt. For the Stars I used Sakura Gellyroll Stardust Clear Pen.
For the gold necklace, wraps on her wrists and waist I used a new
pen I recently found at Michael's and it's called Uni-Ball Impact Gold.
The gold pen pools a little so I used it sparingly and I manipulated it a
corner of a tiny scratch paper .
Since it this is a book mart I wanted to make sure the glitter didn't rub off
so I used some Stampendous! Stampin' Stuff Embossing Powder:
Star Dust Transparent and hit that with an embossing/heat gun I found at
Michael's. Oh yea, even the ribbon looks glittery because of it's iridescence.
Here is how I embossed it since I didn't have yellow glitter paper.
It's a cheater method... LOL

LMMS: Vega Rise Above and Shine

Today I'm showcasing a card I using Polka Dot Pals Vega

I used Kraft Cardstock and to start off I used
Copic markers. To brighten up the eyes, background,
star and skin I used a little Prismacolor over the Copic marker.
(Not a good idea to do it the other way around
if you want to keep a good Copic brush any. I Actually purchased a Prismacolor
colorless marker to blend/melt away Prismacolor Pencil wax but I hardly ever use it.)

It's a little hard to see but I added a little bit of Sakura GellyRoll Metallic Gold
to line the inside of the star that PDP Vega is holding. I then added some
Glossy Accents to the star to give it a
little shine and emphasis to whomever looks at the card in person.
Another part I like to focus on especially with the
Polka Dot Pal images is the big beautiful eyes.
I used a White Prismacolor to color the sclera (aka whites of the eyes)
then go in with the Black Prismacolor pencil to line and highlight
the eyes, eyelashes, and eyebrows. I used a little bit of PC 947
and a little more with PC 945 to define the her facial features such as:
jaw line, chin, sides of cheekbones, hairline, temples, eye crease, sides of nose
and a little for shadowing the ears, hands and legs.
When I was done coloring her face I went in with
Uni-Ball Signo Angelic White pen for the eyelights.

For the background I used Distress Inks:
Evergreen Bough and Black Soot
then I used a PC1011 PDP Vega to illuminate the area around her.

Then I added little stars all around with my Uni-Ball Signo Angelic White pen
when I was done just for a little more interest.

The clear stamp sentiment and square die is from My Creative Time.
The scalloped die is from Craftin' Dessert Divas

LMMS: Kaari butterfly

Hello there!

I'm back with another Inspiration Thursday card for Little Miss Muffet Stamps. Today I had a little fun working with Polka Dot Pals Kaari digi stamp plus a Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces clear stamp and The Corner Park Background. The I had started coloring some of the Polka Dot Pals Kaari image for Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Marker challenge and I finally finished coloring it. When Barbara, artist and owner of Little Miss Muffet Stamps posted the The Corner Park Background, I was inspired to color and add PDP Kaari to create a scene. I was undecided on the sentiment so for now.

I used Copic markers to color her up.
For the eyes and wing details I used a
Uni-ball Signo Angelic White pen as well as a Yellow Sakura Gelly Roll.
and I was inspired by the colors of a Monarch butterfly.
Another reason I was inspired is because someone I know
is moving; not very far away but she rented the same home for
close to 30 years... sometimes even though we may not want to
change is necessary. The situation is very sad and frustrating at the same time.
She will have to downsize immensely, travel further for work
and leave or give away most of her precious plants.
For that and many other reasons I wanted to make her a card to cheer her up
during this difficult transition.

I specifically chose these images: because of the butterfly and the outdoor scene .

Go Warriors!!! LMMS: PDP Kyree Ice Cream Shop

Hi Crafty Friends!

Hope you're having a very blessed day. I'm excited to show you a Little Miss Muffet DT card I created with a super sweet image called Polka Dot Pals Kyree and Flavors of the Month Sentiment from http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/ The digis is currently on sale for $1.00 as well as a some other sweet images- you gotta go check them out for yourself.

I had a fun time coloring Polka Dot Pals Kyree, I also stamped a face from Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces. I ran out of printer ink right after a test printing on a Kraft cardstock since I planned to some Copic Coloring. I have some ink now but I ended up coloring on that Kraft cardstock and it's a little challenging since the colors show up different than on a white piece of paper. I never throw away stamped paper- there is always a way I can use my stamps even if it's not the paper I intended to use- I can always work on it another time. The good thing is that it gave me an idea (Ding! Lightbulb above my head LOL)  I attempted for it look like one of those vintage Polaroid pictures. I have some pictures from the 1980's that have a certain look to them that I gathered inspiration from.

Copic markers I used:
E000, E13, E11, R22, R21, R30
E23, Y32, E71, E27, Y19, Copic Multi-liner Sepia, White Uni-ball Signo Angelic,
Y35, E35
E35, E15, E79, Copic Multi-liner Sepia, RV21, RV14, R29, E41, Prismacolor White
BG49, BG15, BG13, BG34, Y35, YR14 and YR16

Prismacolors used
White and Black

Distress Inks Used:
Evergreen Bough
Vintage Photo

Here's a better look at the coloring.

Here is a little snippet of my creative mess. LOL
I was happy just to finish the polaroid picture but I really need to create more cards
to have on hand for friends, teachers or people appreciate.

Polka Dot Pals Kyree looks super happy with her massive ice cream cone
and the background sentiment made me think of an ice cream shop.
It's never too cold (even in winter) to eat ice cream, especially if it's indoors. LOL
I sketched in some lines to make a black and white checkered floor.
I could have done the black tiles with a copic marker but I wanted it to have the same
texture or look... I hope I'm explaining my self correctly. I just used Prismacolors
black and white and I colored lightly and maybe adding a little more coloring around the
edges of some of the tiles. After I glued my image on some colored cardstock
I finished it off with some Fun Tickets stamps and dies from
My Creative Time and attached them with a little brad from BoBunny Isabella collection.

I hope you liked my card.
