I hope you like both cards
and enjoy a little social distancing.

7 Kids Crafts: Anything Goes ATC Jan 2020

Hello Everyone,

Hoping all is well and that you are getting artsy and crafty. These are the Artist Trading Cards I started a while ago and just had them unfinished. I was delighted to read that 7 Kids Crafts was going to have an "Anything Goes" theme so I happily finished them up. Oh what a happy feeling to finish up old projects. The little Lavinia door stamp is called Fairy Door Large. I also use other small stamps from The Greeting Farm, C.C. Designs and from Studio Light to add to the scene or background. The little fairy inside is a vault image from Sweet November that I shrank to fit inside of the little fairy door.

All of the little doors open and close to reveal a little Sweet November fairy.
I am sure you can try it out with one of the tiny Lavinia stamps but I don't have any
that are really small.

I hope you like these Artist Trading Cards.
I am so excited to see which ones I get back. :D

7 Kids Crafts: Love Letters

Hello Everyone!

I've been having so much fun with The Greeting Farm stamps and Doodlebug Designs papers and Odds & Ends. This The Greeting Farm stamp is called: Miss Anya Samoyed and the Doodlebug Designs are from the Love Notes collection. The Mama Elephant die is called FT- Artist Mat

I'm loving that I can use these papers plus the odd & ends for Valentine's, thinking of you, but also Spring or any time type of card that is cheerful and fun. I colored her up with Copic markers and I wanted her outfit and hair to match the little envelopes on the paper.

7 Kids Crafts: stylin' Miss Anya Buckles

Hello Everyone!

I hope all is well. Just wanted to share the card I created with one of the images I colored on this past Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day over at 7 Kids Customer's Create! Facebook page. This stamp set is by The Greeting Farm and it's called Miss Anya Buckles. Because of MLK Day and Black History month approaching I wanted to color someone of African Decent and create these braids. I like to see more variations in coloring skin and hair.

The cutting dies are from Avery Elle and the background inks are Distress Oxides.

7 Kids Crafts: I Heart U Anya

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are all doing well. With this card I was thinking of all of the flowers that are given at this time, especially roses. I got this Doodlebug Designs paper at 7 Kids Crafts store from the Love Notes collections. This collection works well with Valentine's theme, Spring, Birthday or other occasions- they are some really pretty papers to work with. The stamp is from The Greeting Farm called I Heart U Anya that I've had since last year and I don't think I colored her up until now. You know when you get stamps that you have to have?! LOL Well it was definitely time to color her. Then I ordered some dies, one is called Love You also from The Greeting Farm and a new company in the store called Poppystamps by Memory Box, the die I got is called Whittle Birds. These cute birds are the perfect size to pair with I Heart U Anya and they didn't even need to be colored...

Copic markers used:
W9, W7, W5
N0, N4,
R27, R17, R05, R30
RV55, RV52
E0000, E000, E01, E11, R21, R20
G05, G16

I hope you liked the card
and I hope that you can grab some
Doodlebug Designs papers + embellishments,  The Greeting Farm stamps + dies,
and some Poppystamps dies

7 Kids Crafts: Spread a Little Holiday Cheer

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all are having a great day. For this card I mixed some digi, clear and rubber stamps. First I printed Emaline's gift (Sweet November vault digi stamp) on Kraft Cardstock because I find it easy to color with my Polychromos pencils.  I also printed another one of her the same size on basic printer paper so I can create a mask.

After fussy cutting that mask I used some daubers to color in the background with Distress Oxides and the snow at the ground was with ColorBox Frost White. You can probably hit that with the heat gun but because of my erratic schedules I just set it aside and worked on it the very next day. All of the inks were completely dry, and I felt it needed a little more of something.

I realized that I had purchased this Snowy Afternoon Flakes stamp by Studio Light from the 7 Kids Crafts. I was afraid that I wouldn't get a good impression but the impression was pretty good. I stamped it with  StazOn Pigment Snowflake. I did mess up on my card though. LOL I'll show you my practice paper so you can see how good it stamped on the very first try and then I'll explain what I did wrong on my final card. Hopefully you won't make the same mistake as me or if you do how you can disguise the little accident. (My kids say "Happy little Oops" that they learned from their art teacher or maybe it's a "Happy Little Accident" as Bob Ross would say. haha

Yes, I keep pieces of scratch cardstock and reuse them because I don't like to waste my  paper...
Can you see? That was just one stamp and I didn't have to condition the stamp at all. The paper was nice and flat but on my card I had a slight shift on the snowflakes because my paper was slightly curved and I should have used a washi tape to hold it down. The stamp is large and covers about
5.5 x5.5 so I couldn't use a magnet on the top of the card. So my suggestion is to use washi tape
but as I mentioned before I failed to do that part.

Here you can see that I was trying to hold it down as I was trying to put the stamp press on it
and it's where I should have used the washi tape instead.
I didn't mention that I did cut a piece of paper
to a rounded shape so I can cover the face. I know snow goes everywhere but because I put so much emphasis on her little facial features I didn't want to cover them up with snowflakes.

To try to fix my error I tried to use a Sakura Gellyroll Clear star to hide some of the flaws in the snowflakes that I messed up on. It's not too noticeable now. The sentiment stamp is from The Greeting Farm, and the cursive writing I wrote myself because I felt there was too much negative space.

Anyway, that was too much rambling on my behalf. I hope you learned something and I hope you like the card even though there are human errors on it. LOL

Thank you so much for stopping by, in a couple of days Sweet November Stamps will have a brand new release. All I can say is that is Halloween-ish. heehee

Design Team's cards and live videos

7 Kids Crafts: Happy Birthday

Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to share my latest birthday card. I haven't made too many 6x6 cards this year but I wanted to add lots of birthday balloons to make the card look more festive. (the balloon dies are from a CC Designs that I purchased a long time ago and name is not on the insert) The Happy Birthday die and the stamp are both from The Greeting Farm. You can find the clear stamps from the Miss Anya Samoyed set here. The birthday die cut I used is Happy Birthday and I loved it because it was smooth cut without me having to trim off edges or fussy around with it and it's also on a good deal. The fun papers are from Doodlebug 6x6 pads: Fairy Tales and the other one is called dot-grid-daisy-strope rainbow petite prints

I colored the image with copic markers and stamped
the dress and bow on one of the Doodlebug 6x6 papers: Fairy Tales pad
because I thought it was a cute and festive for a party or birthday dress.

Here's a little excerpt of her: "Mia is a wee little ball of energy zooming in a showering everyone with a burst of sparkling fairy dust and colorful confetti!

Aloha!

Good Morning!

Just wanted to share a card I made with the rubber stamp I colored for Day 25: of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. This one is from the Aloha Kit. All of the stamps in the Aloha Kit are super cute and I have colored only one before this one. I had this Doodlebug paper out on  my desk so I decided to pull out my Aloha Kit- good thing I had already cut the rubber stamps too. The aloha sentiment is also from the same kit I just stamped and cut around. The rectangle die is from Our Daily Bread Designs, the small circle die is from My Creative Time and scalloped die is from

HB2U Francisco

Good morning!

Today I'm sharing a birthday card that I made for my brother Francisco. Chico (Francisco's nickname) has a big birthday today, he turns 30 years old.

Chico is very caring, giving, helpful, thoughtful and a funcle. heehee Chico doesn't have children of his own so he likes to get little toys or books from Walmart or Thrift Town for my kids and my nephews too. The kids could of been having a bad day but when they hang out with Uncle Chico he makes them laugh with silly/corny jokes, most of the time he makes them two or three batches of quesadillas, gives them soda (which we don't buy for our home) or he gives them ice cream and blows up lots of balloons for them likes it's a somebody's birthday.

For today's card I also used my Day: 6 and Day: 26 images of The 30 Day Coloring Challenge. For Day: 6, I colored Buddy Ian from The Greeting Farm. For Day: 26 I colored the HB2U from the Mini-Remix Balloons set by The Greeting Farm and the cloud shapes are from a die I made into a stencil from Land of Oz set by Stamp AnnieThing. Then I tried to draw a little bit of the San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge peaking out from the Bay Area fog. I don't really like the fog when I'm driving but it does really look cool (when I'm not driving. ha) Another thing is that a lot of the redwood trees get watered with fog. I still haven't gone up that hill next to the Golden Gate to take that must do photoshoot that most tourist seem to do. When you look at it in person or in photographs it seems like you're up in the clouds with all of the angels. heehee or at least that's how I think of it.

Oh yea so on to the card, I popped up the balloons with foam tape and drew some thing lines with silver Copic atyou Spica only because it's not really that shimmery and makes pretty thin lines.

7 Kids Crafts: Happy Birthday to You

Hello Crafty Friends!

I feel like I haven't colored in a long time and it's only been about a week. heehee I guess it was just a pretty long week being the last week of school I've been running all over the place.

Today I'm excited because today is the first day of The 30 Day Coloring Challenge over at Kathy Racoosin's page. I usually participate on IG and use hashtag #thedailymarker30day After finishing the card I took a break to cook and feed the family and I'm proud I finished the card. I got inspiration from card sketch of a Kraftin' Kimmie card I saw from http://alexiscsmith.blogspot.com/

I'm always in need of birthday cards so I used Echo Park - Lets Party 6x6 Paper Pad from 7 Kids Crafts for a fun and festive look. The stamp I used is from The Greeting Farm called HB2U Anya. I love this sentiment set called called Say Bday from the The Greeting Farm. To color the sweet  HB2U Anya stamp and add dimension to the balloons I used Copic markers. The die balloon die and the rectangle for the card layer are both from My Creative Time.

7 Kids Crafts: Dreamerland Windy Days Together

Hello Crafty Friends!

I hope you're all having a wonderful day. I wanted to work with a combination of watercolors and color pencils. For this card I used a rubber stamp from Dreamerland Crafts called Windy Days Together. I wanted to show you a card with this stamp because Dreamerland Crafts and Washi Tape are both items included in the Vendor of the Month Sale over at 7 Kids Crafts just make sure to enter code: DREAM for 20% off discount.

I started with Winsor & Newton Cotman watercolors (first time using this one) on Canson Mixed Media 138 lbs paper. It's not very a heavy paper so I made sure not to over saturate it with water. After watercoloring and drying the image, I went in on certain areas with Polychromos just to outline certain areas and to give her a plaid look on her dress and hat. For the purple flowers on the bush
I used a Caran D'Ache Supracolor Watercolor pencil. The Dreamerland Crafts stamp did not come with a sentiment but I have another really cute set from The Greeting Farm called Hey Pretty Kitty and I use one from there. When I was all done I used a Picket Fence Studios - Life Changing Brush with Distress Oxide Vintage Photo to well make it look like a vintage photo. To give it a
finished look I used a rectangle die from Our Daily Bread Designs.

Winsor & Newton (Cotman) Watercolors:
Ultramarine, Chinese White, Alizarin Crimson Hue,
Viridian Hue, Yellow Ochre and Burn Umber

Friend life would be boring without you

Hello Crafty Friends,

I been looking at all of the stamps I've been hoarding for years and thinking of ways to use them.
I found a few sets I wanted to mix and put together to make this cute little scene. The large "friend" word is from CC Designs: More Scripted Sentiments ARI095. The small sentiment phrase is from The Greeting Farm called: Because of You. The cute turtle and bunny is from The Greeting Farm as well and it's called Down by the Pond. In the background I sort of colored in a little wonky pond just to set the scene. I used Copic markers to colored everything and I added a little bit of Spectrum Noir sparkle pen on the turtle's shell. The rectangle die is from My Creative Time.

7 Kids Crafts: Hibiscus

Hello Everyone!

Here is another new image I want to share with you using Red Hibiscus Designs - Botanicals - Hibiscus by artist Luisiana Lowry, who also designs for www.7kidscrafts.com. You can find the rest of her beautiful digital art here: Red Hibiscus Design digial stamps

Copic Markers:
RV21, RV23, RV25, Y08, T1, N2
Y14, YG17

Distress Ink:
Mowed Lawn

Taylored Expressions 6x6 Designer Stencil:
Mosaic Leaves

The Greeting Farm sentiment:
Bloom Kit

Rectangle dies is from:
My Creative Time

When I saw this hibiscus, I thought about Hawaaii and it's lush green landscapes
with many colorful flowers and yummy fruit.
I have this stencil from Taylored Expressions that I wanted to use.
First I masked the hibiscus with a printer paper mask I made. Then,
I used Mown Lawn Distress Ink all around it but tried not to be
too heavy. When I had enough coverage I place the stencil over the
card layer and used the same Mown Lawn Distress Ink. I wanted to have
leaves in the background but I wanted them to be subtle.
I used a rectangle die from My Creative time and sort of gaged
where I wanted to place the sentiment and chose one from The Greeting Farm's
Bloom rubber stamp kit. I used Gold tinsel embossing powder from Martha Stewart.

Here you can see the tinsel embossing a lot better.

I hope you liked the card and I hope to see you all over at

7 Kids Crafts: Go For It!

Happy Sunday Everyone!

This month Kelly is also having a 20% off sale for most The Greeting Farm stamps and lots of Mixed Media, check out the vendor of the month sale here: http://www.7kidscrafts.com/vendor-of-the-month-sale/ make sure to use code: TGF

I had lots of fun merging the different images to create this scene at the gym. All of us who love or maybe not so much love but need to go to the gym could benefit from having a gym buddy to give us that extra push or inspiration.  I'm usually looking like the little gal in the back of the gym unless it's Zumba then I would probably be more like the girl in the front. heehee I like to use a planner and every now and then I use these cute little planner stamps to decorate but I don't spend time coloring them. I do however, love to use these small and cute The Greeting Farm : Tiny Plans to add characters to the background. If you purchased The Greeting Farm: Go For It Anya! stamp set from 7 Kids Crafts then you would have received the Sweet November digital: background builder- workout room  for free until Kelly ran out of the clear stamp set. The background is now available for so sale, just click the link here

For this card I used:

I colored everything with Copic markers. First I printed the
Sweet November- Workout Roomcolored it then stamped the TGF stamps separately. After fussy cutting the TGF stamps I carefully glued them on the workout background.
