7 Kids Crafts: stylin' Miss Anya Buckles

Hello Everyone!

I hope all is well. Just wanted to share the card I created with one of the images I colored on this past Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day over at 7 Kids Customer's Create! Facebook page. This stamp set is by The Greeting Farm and it's called Miss Anya Buckles. Because of MLK Day and Black History month approaching I wanted to color someone of African Decent and create these braids. I like to see more variations in coloring skin and hair.

The cutting dies are from Avery Elle and the background inks are Distress Oxides.

Don't forget to participate all month long with this new release.
Everyone who participates this month will get an exclusive Tot
next month or you could possibly win all of next month's release as well.
Also, catch special sales or promotions going on at:

Thank you so much for visiting.

LMMS: The Bookworm

Hello and Happy Thursday!

For many, school has begun. My kids started the new school year on August 6th. Felt like a really short summer break, especially when I went to school- it didn't start until after Labor Day in September. heehee
I had started to customize the hair on this cutie from
http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/ her name is Polka Dot Pals Lirienne - it's a rubber stamp and she's currently on sale! I also used clear stamp Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces and this set is on sale as well.

After I inked un my stamp, I carefully tried to remove some of the ink from the hair area.
I wanted the hair area to be light almost like "no-lines coloring," so I can customize and make it
into curly hair and I tried to not mess with the hair barrettes.

When I used the clear stamp Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces I didn't line  up the eye holes like
normally because I wanted her to look like she was actually reading. I wanted her to look like she's looking down at the pages of her book. To do this you just line up the Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces of your choice slightly above the area you normally would. I then darkened the eyelashes and pupuls with a Black Copic Multiliner pen. (With permission) I customized and worked on squiggly and curly lines following Barbara Sproatmeyer's artist lines. So I tried not to change the hairstyle nor the flow of the hair- I did add some bits of fly-away hairs.

Here is the image before deciding on the color of the book.

Here it is all finished ready to give to my daughter.

Don't forget to join the Facebook page
and check out the other creative teammates and customers on the challenge blog at

Thank you so much for visiting my blog.

Don't forget about the current sale.

I hope you enjoyed the card.

Until next time,

LMMS: Happy Birthday Tabitha

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy Thursday!

I've been having a little fun coloring this this digi stamp from http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/  called Polka Dot Pals Tabitha and using one of the versatile Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces clear stamps. Polka Dot Pals Tabitha has this super cute short curly hair and a cute little tutu and she's all ready for a birthday party. As you can see below, I used a lot of colors. I wanted a very colorful and happy card. I chose the colors of her clothing using colors I thought went well with the Doodlebug Design 6x6 papers called Fairy Tales.

Here is my completed card using

Here is a close-up

These are the colors I used for the clothing, wings and birthday hat.
I  tend to make swatches next to the image I'm coloring,
If I don't I usually don't remember what colors I used.

Here is the full list of my Copic colors used.
Hair: C9, C7 and a tiny bit of E29
Eyes: C1, C3, E27, E17, Y26, E15 Uni-ball Signo Angelic White
Skin: E11, E17, E13, E11, R22 and E04
Clothing/Wings/Party Hat: BG05, BG07, Y11, Y17, Y35, YR04,
YR07, YG07, YG17, V20, V22, V15, V25, RV06, RV09
Woooo! That was a lot of colors but I really enjoy coloring so
it doesn't feel like a lot of colors when I'm having a good time doing so...
It just takes a little longer.

Here is the inside which was just fussy cutting part
of one of the Doodlebug Design paper.

I hope you enjoyed my card. I hope you can check out all of the
other cards created by all of the lovely and creative ladies over at:

We got some really fun new Chibi Kids to share with you today!

Nurse Holly wants you to Cheer up!

Holly will be available in the store Friday along with the other 2 stamps we show  you  this week!!
`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Here is my card using Nurse Holly
only I didn't  use the nurse hat this time.
I decided to just leave her as a little chibi girl with her Teddy Bear.
I colored my image with Copic markers
E11, B34, E57, E34, R22 and R20
R85, R83and RV95
E34, E37, E39 and Blender Pen 0
The papers are from
Kaiser Craft called Summer Breeze
Dies are from Our Daily Bread Designs custom dies
as well as Desert Craftin Divas

Here is a close-up
I read some where that September 9th is  National Teddy Bear Day
because in 1902, President Theodore Roosevelt refused to shoot a bear cub
while hunting in Mississippi.
the drawing about was created by Clifford Berryman
who published a cartoon of the incident in the
Washington Post on Nov. 16th, 1902

I tried looking around but there were different dates for the
Teddy Bear Day... I wanted to share because I thought
it was a cute story behind the Teddy Bear. :)

I hope you enjoyed our September peeks so far!
See you tomorrow!
 Have a great day!

Thank you,

Hello Kitty Birthday with Megan

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a birthday card for you using Megan Glass.
I had great feedback when I made another birthday card with Megan - Cupcake
because I colored her hair with braids. Takes a while to create the braids
but so worth when you're done.

So here I used Megan Glass

I colored her with Copic markers.
I used:
skin: E11, B34, E37, E34, R22 and R30
hair: W9 and W5
Reds: R24 and R46
Blues: B21, B45 and B97
boots: W9, W7, W5 and W3
leggings: N0 and N2

The background paper is called Hello Kitty Ribbons
and it was a 12x12 sheet I got from Michael's open stock papers.
I fussy cut a Hello Kitty Head from the same paper
and popped it up so it can look like a balloon.
The yellow dotted paper is from Echo Park and it's called
 Birthday Wishes

the small HB2U and balloon string dies
are from CC Designs.

Here is a close up.

I hope you liked it.

Thank you for stopping by.

Roaring Twenties Tiana

Hi there!

I made this card using one of the newest stamps from Stamp AnnieThing called

I colored her with Copic markers
and with the intention of looking like Tiana from
The Princess and the Frog.
The skin colors are: B24, E11, E35, E23, R22 and R30.
For the Hair I used C9, C7 and C5...  I used that C9
so much that it was too sticky... good thing I have replacement nibs
and a refill because the alcohol did not help with bad it colored.
Oh yeah and the dress I used YG00, YG05, YG06 and YG07 (YG07
always gives me big blobs of ink :[ I'm going to to have to stop being a cheap-o
and just change that nib too)
My desk is so cluttered that I keep trying new colors out because I can't
find my other markers... well I like trying new colors but part of it
is because my desk is so messy. LOL Creative Explosion happens I guess....
The paper is from Die Cuts With a View and it's called The Magnolia Way
and I thought it was perfect to go with "Tiana."
The dies are from Craftin' Desert Divas and
from My Creative Time. I fussy cut the image and used C9 all around to get rid of
the white showing from the edges of the paper and then
added a little bit of Wink of Stella to her hair band and dress band
when it was glued down. The I decided to use the sentiment
that comes with this stamp that says: Roarin' Fun
but I accidentally used my Memento Black ink
and realized this will not work with that paper so before it smeared
I tried to rescue it with embossing and then realized that it was frantage
as I embossed it. LOL    It looks nicer in person but I may die
cut a little piece of paper and just glue on top... not sure yet.  teeheehee.

So the last card I made with this stamp I kept thinking of
Charlotte La Bouff aka Lottie which is Tiana's best friend...
you can see it here with the August 2016 release and I also
colored Paige as Princess Tiana over here with the February 2016 release.
I have so much fun coloring the Chibi Kids as popular characters
especially when I make cards for my kids, teachers, family and friends.

That's about it for this card.

I hope you got a chance to buy and play with a
few of these cuties.

Have a great day.

Stamp AnnieThing August Previews Day 1 - Tess

Hi and welcome to Day #1 of
Stamp Anniething's August release!

Let's do a sort of TIME warp dance with this release!

Meet 80s punk rocking Tess!!

Tess will be available in the store Friday along with the other 2 stamps we show  you  this week!!
`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Here is my card using the rocking Tess!
I colored the entire image with Copic markers.
I stamped the image with Memento Desert Sand.
Copic colors used:
E21, E11, E13, E04, R30, R21, R22
B00, B21, B0000
B21, BG01, B23, B24
Y08, C1
E35 and Y15
For the eyesights I used Uni-ball Signo Angelic
For the eyelashes I used a Copic multi-liner
Then added some light shimmer with Wink of Stella Clear on the hair
and parts of her guitar as well as the stars in the background.

I colored this image based on this show my daughter Jade watches
it's called LoliRock. Talia is the name of this character, her hair is normally
brown but with magical powers her hair transforms to this frosty blue.

Close up and you can also see the shimmer a little better.

I hope you enjoyed our August peeks so far!
 Have a great day!

Thank you for stopping by,

Cupcake Time

Hello Crafty Friends!

I have a little card to show you with

I always like to play around with different skin tones but I also like to
try out different hairstyles. With Megan I wanted to try and give her some
braids. I have tried doing braids on another stamp Megan (Winter Wishes) before but with
Prismacolor pencils and you can see my process here
I think it was a little easier for me to do it with markers
but I also tried a slightly different technique that was a little faster too.
I think in the future I will have to show you my braid process with
the markers but probably when the kids are in school....

like I said before I colored Megan - Hey Cupcake
with Copic markers.

W5 and W7
E11, B34, E37, E34, R22 and R30
E50, (I forgot which yellow I used for the frosting)
but eh barrette, the collar, sprinkles
and the cherry were done in RV29

The uniform was paper pieced
and all of the design paper was all from
Echo Park: Birthday Wishes
The card base was with Recollections
Oh yea and I added Wink of Stella
Clear that I finally opened up to add some
shiny sugar to the yellow frosting. :P

Also I used this sketch for my card I just placed the sentiment
in a different spot... and I hope that is okay.

I Hope you liked my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by
Have a great weekend.

Stamp AnnieThing July Release Day 1 - Tony

Hi and welcome to Day #1 of
Stamp Anniething's July release!

I love the carefree days of Summer and hope you find this release to reflect on that.

Meet totally rad and gnarly Tony!

Tony will be available in the store Friday along with the other 2 stamps we show  you  this week!!
`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Here is the project I made with the new stamp Tony!
Before we moved to our current house
we lived in a tiny 2 bedroom house
and we met one of the coolest persons ever- his name is Karl Watson.
Not only he was very nice and easy going,  he was always
very happy and positive about life and he loved people especially kids.
I would say he was pretty famous but my husband and I
just saw him as a very nice neighbor and friend.
Kids and grown ups would often come
to skate or see him do a trick or two.

As  you know already this stamp does not come
with dreads I just decided to make his hair that way.

I colored with Copic markers.
For skin I used colors E11, E13, E21, R30, R20
For hair: E23, E35, E59 and E79
the hat and clothing I colored a different day and I didn't write
anything down and me having my kids home all day for the summer... sorry.
Here is a close-up of Tony! (aka Karl Watson) LOL

If you search for him online or even Instagram you can see
pictures and videos of him in action but I didn't take any photos... I know...
bummer! LOL Okay I took one... but only because we were near our
old house and we were showing our kids where we used to live...
then what do you know? We catch Karl outside on the front yard
playing with his kids.

Here is the picture I have with my husband DeAndre Bess and with Karl Watson

I hope you liked my card.

SAT May Release Day 3 Holly Dreams

Hi and welcome to Day #3 of
Stamp Anniething's May release!

This month is all about being a girl and hanging with the girls, its also about pampering yourself a bit too!

Meet our newest stamp,
Holly, Sweet Dreams

Holly is available in the store NOW along with the other 2 stamps we show  you  this week!!
`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Here is the project I made!
I first colored my image with Copic markers on
100 lb Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock.
The hair is W9, W7 and W5
I experimented with the skin this time
I used E53, E11, E13, R21 and R30
I wanted to give her a light African American skin tone.

Next I stamped another Holly on
Inkadinkado Stamping Mask Paper -fussy cut it
and place on top of my colored Holly
Then pretty much rub on some mini distress ink pads at random
but I chose sort of bright colors and try to blend at the edges.
After that I blended some black distress ink on the edges
and very little in between the bright colors.
When I was satisfied with the night sky background
I removed the masking paper and colored up the edges
by coloring with W9 Copic marker
not too much clean up to do but there were
a few very white spots.
I then added the sentiment that comes with this stamp
which I die cut with one of
My Creative Time dies
and added finishing touch by adding stars
with a white Sakura Gellyroll.
That's pretty much it.
I kept this card simple like my previous cards
just adding some color to the background
with either a patterned paper or
adding distress ink.

Thanks for joining us for our May Release
 and have a great day!

Remember today is release day. Woot Woot!

Thank you for visiting,

Katya Bess

Hello Everyone!
In honor of Black History Month and National Heart Month
I chose to make Savannah - Howdy Partner an African American Cowgirl
and my theme color to be red. I chose the dies and papers patterns to
show she can be a cowgirl and feminine too.

Here is what I created for today!
Savannah - Howdy Partner
I used the Desert Sand ink for a "no-lines coloring" on her hair, skin and lasso with Copic markers:
W5, W7, W9, E13, E15, E17, E33, E35 E18, R21 and R22...
for the clothing I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink
I shaded the red hat and boots with R46 and R35
since the paper is already red
then I fussy cut and paper pieced the clothing.
the edge dies are from Spellbinders
called Borderabilities Card Creator Dies Curved Borders 2
The flower I created with the Spellbinders Mega Dies: Carnation Creations,
Spellbinders Lacy Oval and Spellbinders Classic Oval dies.

Here is a Work-In-Process photo before I colored the hair
When you fussy cut and paper piece
patterned paper it makes you feel like
playing paper dolls like when you were a kid
or play pretend you're a seamstress...
LOL or is that just me? Teehee yea it's probably just me.

Here she is all dressed up for the Rodeo
I really love the little details on this stamp such as the
tiny stitching on her hat, skirt and boots- some real fine tailorin'. ;)

If you don't like to fussy cut like me then you can
chose to have the free SVG outline for Savannah HERE...

Thank you so much for looking.
