TSC DT: Soulful Christmas

Hey there Crafty Peeps!

Just checking in and showing off a funky little Christmas card. I turned a non Christmas image into a very funky Christmas card. As if I didn't have any Christmas stamps right? LOL

It's called Soultrain. You can find her here: http://thestampingchef.com/Shop/downloads/soultrain/
I also seem to forget to mention that Tamara also makes custom watermarks.

Here is my card:

I colored her with Copics
The Writing was done with Sakura Gelly Rolls
The paper is from Recollections
The self stick gems are from Darice that I bought at Michaels waaaay back some time.

Here is a close-up at an angel to see the slight shimmer.

Have
Jazzy
Christmas
and a
Funky
New Year

TSC DT: Messenger Angel

Good morning Everyone!

I hope all is well. Today is the start of my kids' Thanksgiving break....  Seriously.... they didn't have to take Wednesday out.... LOL My sanity is going to go out the window.... I'll have to pray on that. LOL

Okay, on to my card. I wanted to make a CAS religious Christmas card... but then it was too CAS so I added a bow.

I used http://thestampingchef.com/Shop/downloads/angelic-angel-ann/ to show the messenger angel... I supposed most angels in the Bible that I have heard of have masculine names and are some very powerful beings.... but I really wanted to use this image in this case.

I used Distress inks and a ripped up piece of scratch paper to form the clouds.
There were specific colors I wanted to use to represent a messenger angel At least for the clothing:
A belt of fine gold. I used Copic Atyou pens to add some shimmer on top of the Copic coloring.
The clothes white as snow but I added strays of color to show the radiance or glowing and shimmering  that comes from an angel.
The yellow light shinning in the background clouds is also with distress inks.
The gold ribbon was a thrift store find- my mom got it for me. :D
Close up of the face and wings
this photo was to show the shimmer from the gold Copic Atyou pen.
The die is from Our Daily Bread Designs and you can find it here:  https://www.ourdailybreaddesigns.com/index.php/elegant-oval-dies.html

This is from Luke 2. Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14 “Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.
I hope you liked my card.

TTPH DT: Thankful with TSC

Hey Everyone!

Just a quick post to show my card for Through The Purple Haze DT. This week we are being sponsored by The Stamping Chef and I'm using an image I bought a whiiiiile back she's called
Leg or Breast? It's on sale for $1.50 since The Stamping Chef also has a monthly challenge on their Facebook fan page. The TSC monthly theme is "Thanks" and the Recipe is Ribbon and Kraft card AND use the 'Leg or Breast?' image. Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TSCRecipes/  The image is very sexy. I had a different idea on how I wanted to use her but I went a little mainstream and just made it a 'Thank you' card instead.

So here's my card:

I colored with Copics... and since I was doing Native American skin I tried out different colors
didn't even write them down since I have a tough time blending. I seriously need to practice with more colors. I have like 3-4 combos down and that's what I stick to. LOL
I Also did some experimenting. I tried to mask the image
but the black ink started to bleed and paranoia kicked.... argggg!
When I removed it it wasn't as bad as it looked but still a little bit got messed up.

I used this paper stack I bought like 2 years ago I think. It's called Garden Harvest by Recollections.
It's Kraft paper mixed with glitter! Well most of the pages anyway. It's cute.

The 'thanks' die is from the Happy Thoughts Stamp set at

TSC DT: Oh Deer it's almost Christmas!

Hey Everybody! Good morning!

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas... sort of- so I felt like doing a little bit of Christmassy coloring.

I used The Stamping Chef'sFantine Oh Dear, My Deer. (Just click on the links and it'll take you to the shop)

I colored my image with Copic markers and used a Sakura gelly roll for the eye lights.
The die is from The Greeting Farm
The design papers are from Martha Stewart's Wonderland 12x12 Paper pad
Here's a close up of the digi
Here's a close up of the glittery paper :)

TSC DT: Not stars in the sky

Good morning Everyone!

How all is well. Taking a tiny tiny of a break from Halloween cards, Halloween candy and Halloween costumes or costume talk..... well I guess this could be a costume too but.... yea.

A couple of people came to mind when I created this card. The fairy named Alyce (which you can buy by clicking the link provided)
http://thestampingchef.com/Shop/downloads/alyce-special-celebration-image/ I colored a while ago but had not thought of anything to put her on. Sometimes when I color something just for just and I digging it I just want to look at it and not disturb it by sticking it on paper.... but I had an idea for it this time and hoped for the best.

I created my own background by using Time Holtz Distress Ink pads: Broken China and Dusty Concord, Stampendous Frantage, Clear glitter embossing powder on white pigment ink for the sentiment. I'm thinking I should have used a different embossing powder because the white font seems to sort of disappear when I added the clear powder. This rubber stamp by Impression Obsession # E5094 I bought that from http://www.thestamproom.com/search.aspx?manufacturer=88. (I love that shop too)

Here is my Alyce - it was so much fun coloring her.

I colored her up with Copic and pencils.
A tiny big of Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll pen.
I love love looking at things, objects or animals in nature with iridescent colors.
From pearls, to hummingbirs and even car oil or grease along the sidewalk after it has
rained or the car has been washed... oh yea and bubbles they have an irridescence
and lets not forget dragonflies and house flies. LOL
From a young girl as far as I could remember I was always mesmerized by all of these colors and I and I still am.... so I was trying to think of a way to make her wings and hair
look iridescent without adding glitter because I so can't photograph glitter.
So there you have it I was inspired by bugs and stuff. LOL
Here is a close up sort of and sorry these photos are taken with artificial lighting in the house...
Mommy crafting in the middle of the night again....

Thank you for stoping by. I hope you create with something that
truly inspires you in life... could be anything... even a dead house fly. Ha!

TSC DT: Smile Sweetcakes

Hey Everyone!

Just popping in with a card I created. This digi I had actually colored previously but it just needed to be put on a card.

Today I'm using digi stamp "The Artist" http://thestampingchef.com/Shop/downloads/the-artist/

OMG I love this image, to me it's just too cool. Besides that she looks so good I'm inspired to color her because I find the hair challenging and look at those sweet cakes on her! LOL

I bought this image when it first came out and colored her while on vacation... actually I colored 3 and half of these. LOL I was so desperate to win this class that I tried different skin tones and different hair colors. Long story short, I didn't get the free class but I somehow made it to the DT and I'm sure happy about that. LOL.

I was also inspired to make this card because my Mother works as a garden educator at a local school- I was there on Monday and she made me think about strawberries since they're still growing there and it just made me think of this image. LOL Plus it's October- Breast cancer Awareness month so why not use her and her big pink hair. I know a few people that die their hair pink in October. :D

I colored her with Copics
The stamp and dies are from My Creative Time
For some reason it seemed too blah... so I drew a few strawberry plants
with a Sakura pen and colored in it with Gelly Rolls
since the way I colored her was inspired by Strawberry Shortcake.

I added freckles on her face and shoulder (I hope you all can see.)

TSC DT: Sometimes life just stinks

Hey Everyone!

Hope you all are doing well. Just popping in with another card and image from The Stamping Chef storeToday I decided to not use a Smexy lady but a sort of angry baby. LOL    Well she’s a toddler named Tess and this digi Now we wait Isn’t she just too funny?

Well, sometimes life just stinks like poo in the loo. LOL  (plug in some foreign accent while saying it.) This card is aimed to cheer up someone who has been in the dumps or has been  having a bad time. I’m sure this image can be used in many different way though.

Okay here is my card.

The monochromatic theme was not intended that way…. it just got that way all on it’s own. LOL  jk I'm just trying these to match papers then I got too matchy-matchy but it worked out fine. The roses (from Wild Orchid Crafts) were white and I colored them with my Copic refills just by applying a few drops here and there. The toilet paper rolls I actually used real toilet paper. The empty toilet roll to make tiny paper toilet rolls wasn’t too hard but you just need a fast drying glue…. I just moved my things around with my hubby last week and my desk space is a hot mess. I don’t know where my hot glue gun which would of sped up the process greatly.

Well that is it for now.
I hope you liked my card.

Thank you for stopping by.

Makes sure you give the
a try.  You'll love it!

TSC DT: Sirena Wall Decor

Hello Everyone,

Stopping by with a project that I have been working on for a while and finally I was able to finish it and I have it all done to show off now. I've been working on it bits and pieces here and there to give it the attention it deserves. I think my coloring has even improved since I colored the mermaid a Whiiiiiile back lol.

Anyway, this was a mixed media project and I used Sirena as the main focus/image.
(click on link and it'll take you right to the shop.

I mostly have some old paintings, calendars random pictures of my family
but nothing really scrapbook/crafty style on my walls so I created this wall hanging
for may crafting spot.
Have I ever said how much I love mermaids?
I sure hope Tamara can draw up some more for me to color.... yea!!!
So the colored area measures 9"x6"
not too big but not tiny that it will be swallowed by everything else on the wall. LOL
I used all sorts of mediums to create this scene.
mermaid digi stamp: The Stamping Chef's Sirena
Chocolate Baroque rubber stamps: Something Fishy
Sentiment Rubber Stamp: Live In The Sun
I used a Color Catcher  my online crafty buddy Tanja sent me in swap
Stampendous! Frantage embossing enamel
Caran D'Ache Supracolor II watersoluable pencils
Copic Markers
Like 3 different Glimmer Mist Sprays from The Stamp Room
Copic Multi-Liner
Watercolor paper
Eyelets
The photos do not show very well but it's actually very shimmery.

Thanks for stopping by.

TSC DT: Dear Credit Card

Hello Everyone!

Today, I start showcasing as Design Team member at http://thestampingchef.com/Challenges/ I feel very grateful that they even considered me to be in the team.

Tamara's  digis (the owner) at http://thestampingchef.com/Shop/ are usually funny, always quirky and smexy :P Her images have always been a real treat to color.

Today I am showcasing, Stacey Spectacular (click and the link and it'll take you right to her at the shop)

I used Copic markers to color this image. I used 3D  very thick stickers from the Paper House to embellish and give my card dimension.  The cardstock is from recollections and the design
paper is from  Me and My Big ideas.

I hope you can read the writing... I should of typed it.... but I'll do that the next time. It says:

Dear Credit Card
I love you!
'Til debt
do us part.

Sincerely,

Miss Shopaholic

I thought it was pretty funny and fit well with the image.

I used Glossy Accents for her glass area and on her eye glass frame.

Here you can see the dimension of the 3D stickers.

By the way Tamara also offers custom watermarks and you can find them here:
http://thestampingchef.com/Shop/downloads/custom-watermark/

I hope you liked what I had to show.

As always it's Anything Goes!
