7 Kids Crafts: Many Thanks

Hello Everyone,

I think I'm getting hooked on making slimeline cards, they are perfect for cash, for a check or just to write a long-winded message like I like doing sometimes. heehee For my card I wanted to make it look vintagey (I know that can't be a real word) but with a pop of color. I colored the Stamping Bella Daisy Squidgy with Caran D'Ache Water-soluble colored pencils. On top of the dried watersoluble color pencil/watercoloring, I then used a little bit of Polychromos to add depth. The slimline die is by Mama Elephant called Creative Cuts, Slim Card Basics. The letters that form the word "many" come from the Altenew set that I've been hoarding for a while called Tall Alpha die.

Sweet November Guest DT - Tide Mayfin

Hello Everyone!

I'm excited Sweet November has launched their own website and also asked me to guest DT for their opening release. The newest stamp in the shop is called Tide Mayfin, you can use her with or without the little fish. I decided to use Tide Mayfin with the little fish because I wanted to create a Teacher Appreciation card. During the Quarantine the classes have been on zoom and have different classroom times, some are the entire class, some days small groups and some days one on one. Tide Mayfin looks so happy with the little school of fish swimming around her that I was inspired to make a teacher card with her.

I colored her up with Polychromos and the background with a marker to cover the base. I tried to keep the most detail on the mermaid and the little school of fish by coloring with bright and cheerful colors.

You can find more info about the new releases and other fun content at: Friends of Sweet November Stamps

Thank You FOR EVERYTHING

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you're having a lovely day.  I had a lovely early morning working on the coloring for the background of this little scene using ColourCraft Brusho pigment powders. For the tree and leaves the main color I used is: Gamboge, then a little bit of Leaf Green and a tiny bit of Scarlet. I really love the effects that the Brusho creates and I purchased them for foliage and backgrounds in mind. Next, although not in the 7 Kids Craft Store, Kelly the owner carries a lot of Hello Bluebird items, especially the newer releases. The die set is called Oak Tree Scene Die and the stamp set I used is called Fall Friends.

I used Copic markes to color the critters and the pumpkins.
For the sentiment I used a gold tinsel embossing powder
from Recollections that I found at Michael's.

Here's a little bit of how it looked when I finished coloring in the tree
and adding Brusho to the leaves. To color the grass and the tree trunk
I used Spectrum Noir marker because they are a bit juicier.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

LMMS: Hazel Thank you

Hello Crafty Friends!

I hope all is going great. Summer, my favorite season is coming to an end very quickly which for me means creating lots of Thank You, Winter or Christmas cards. For this card I used Polka Dot Pals Hazel with a Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces, all I could think about was an Autumn theme where I sa when I saw this image.

The paper is from Doodlebug sde

Here's a bit closer with better lighting.

Yet another Calla Lily: Thank You card

Hello All! Hope all is well with everyone.

Finished this one about 2 days ago and just now posting LOL. I've used this stamp several times before. I told myself that I bought all of these clear and rubber stamps and don't use them as much as I would like to -- so this year I will try to use most of them if not all. Even if the holiday already passed I'm going to make a card with a stamp... (yikes lots of work) But I will try to use at least 10 rubber stamps and complete cards before buying another stamp... maybe a digi... AND even those are under used.

The small die tag and stamp are from My Creative Time stamps.

Not much as you can see but I colored the callas in some of the different colors that they come
just to make it a little more cheerful since most people (that I know)
seem to identify Calla Lilies for sympathy or sometimes wedding.
I just wanted to create a simple card to give anytime.
And speaking of not buying any more stamps lol I found a little one, a calla lily stamp from the same company so perfect for the inside of the card (F-1018). Bought that small stamp  last week. So yes no more stamps for me until I've created enough to show for what I've purchased. I will try not to window/screen shop cause then I'll be tempted.

Hugs Everyone.

Thank You Card - Tiger Lily

Good Morning Everyone!

Before I pick up my baby girl from pre-school I will post a card that I finished last week. I don't know if you're tired of these flower cards but I fell in love with making 3D flowers. I got this idea from
So I can't take credit for the idea or how the flower is assembled- the only thing is that instead of the punches she is using I used my cricut and and Gypsy to make my pedals and stamens.

I shaped the petals and stamens with the McGill styluses she uses in the video- much better then using the end-caps of my pens or markers.

I did come up with an idea for Lily buds because I've gotten lilies and I've sent lilies for a cousin and all of the lilies weren't blossomed. To make the buds I cut two green pieces of paper sort of in an elongated oval shapes and shaped each one individually. Then paste them together on one edge only and shape it in a cup again in case it flatten out a little.  After that I used some pearlescents paint (orange) since buds usually show the color of the lily. I also used pearlescent orange paint to paint only the centers of each peatal before I added the little specks with my marker (let it dry of course so I made lots of petals to use another time) This doesn't have to be pearlescent paint but that's the only type of paint I had a the time... but it did turn out okay it gave it a light and pretty shimmer.

Please excuse my dingy lighting it was night time and my lamp is not that bright for picture taking.

Most of the time I add water to my card stock when I shape the petals or leaves to make flowers but normally I make them much smaller so this time the first Lily I made looks a bit wrinkled and the second one I didn't use water at all and it has the smoother look. I guess it just depends on the size of the flower.

Hope you liked them. Thank you so much for stopping by.
Have a fun, crafty and blessed day!

Thank You Cards

Good evening everyone,

Just wanted to share a card I did a little while ago and haven't had a chance to post it. Hope you like it.

My brother Francisco wanted a thank you card for a counselor/mentor. I used Spellbinders Rose Creations to make the rose. I used a quote and poem by Leo F. Buscaglia.

Front of the card

you can see some of the dimension here from my Spellbinders Roses
and foliage. The butterfly is from one of my Martha Stewart Cricut Cartridges. so is the lattice fence which I used two to weld together and then had to cut a few little pieces with an x-acto knife.

The front again slightly different lighting

That's a stamp I had which is what you can see through the lattice fence
from the front.

Added more paper to the back to add more weight
since the front of the card is so heavy from the roses I made.

Thanks for visiting. Hope you enjoyed looking around.

Thank you & Breast Cancer Cards

Good afternoon,

I completed this card along with the 50th birthday card and a breast cancer card but hadn't had a chance to post all of them on the same day. I used the exact Rose stamp.

I was trying to mix two different reds... I won't next time...
 I pre-dated the card... shhhh don't tell.

And that's the back

For the breast cancer card I used the lacey squares instead. Also, I "messed up" on the cutting with the spellbinders die... but I wasn't going to throw it away- heccccck no! took me a while to color all three sets of roses lol I just cut around the entire flower and separated the bud and budding rose from the big one then popped dot the big rose.

I bought these cute little heart charms that say "Hand Made with Love" but didn't have the baker's twine everyone is using these days... so I just used that skinny ribbon I got on sale from Michael's (a long time ago)

Here's where I popped dotted that rose

Well my friends, I hope you like my cards.
Until later... (last minute working on my hubby's Father's Day card)

Have a good one.

Thank You Cards

Hi Everyone,

I've been M.I.A. for the past few weeks... I was sick for a while (with a cold). Besides that I've been working on some thank you cards that a relative asked for me to make.
Here are some... I need to work on better layouts and color choosing I think.... but they kind of came out okay... I hope. Plus it gives me practice for cards I would like to give out for Thanksgiving as well... not too traditional with the color and images but the message and all of it's meaning is in place. All though I must admit i was having a mental block... I asked my auntie-in-law what would she like in the cards besides "thank you" she left it all up to me and out all of the times I get all of these ideas non really came to mind... maybe cause I've been sick or tired...I don't know... until I worked with Sentimentals cart I started feeling a little more creative there.

Some cricut cartridges used were:
*Sentimentals
*Once Upon a Princess
*Gypsy Wandering
*Gypsy Font
*Forever Young

Other items used:
*Martha Stewart Punch
*Stickles

*Oh yea and the roses I made those too.

Those were just the centers of the pink roses and of course some leaves
Publish PostThis is where I need some color choosing help...

Thanks you for visiting- Hugs and Smiles,

X & :)
