7 Kids Crafts: Compliments of the season

Hello Crafty Friends,

I am excited to share this card. I really enjoyed coloring this beautiful Christmas Mistletoe Fairy and wanted to create a special card with her. After racking my brain for a few days I decided I wanted to do a little mixed media. I don't do too much mixed media and it looked a little different in my mind than it came out but I actually really love results. I think it has been almost a year since I have done a little mixed media but the process is very relaxing. The process takes me longer, especially drying time but most things I complete by sections anyway so it wasn't too much of an issue. For the background I wanted a certain snowy scene from the Prima marketing paper but I also fussy cut a barn and added it to the scene, then I added falling snow with gesso.

To create this card I used: Christmas Misletoe Fairy by Sweet November StampsPrima Marketing paper pad called Christmas in the Country, Nuvo Crystal Drops: Metallic - Soft Mint for the mistletoe berries and Nuvo Glitter Drops: Holiday Cheer for the holly berries, Hello Bluebird: Holly and Pine DieElizabeth Craft Designs: Garden Notes - Heart Grapevine WreathC.C. Designs: Mistletoe ATS028 and a little white gesso for snow on the tips of the pine needles, pine cone, snow falling and on the wreath. Oh yea on last thing I added some Spectrum Noir: Clear Sparkle pen over the wings.

Here's a little excerpt from the Sweet November Digital Stamps team about Christmas Mistletoe Fairy : And last but not least we have Mistletoe Fairy. This sweet fairy knows that it doesn't matter how a home is decorated for the holidays because as long is it is filled with love and laughter it is the most beautiful place in the world to be no matter the time of year.

Here's a little close-up of the dies I used

I Hope you can see that I added Spectrum Noir: Sparkle pen to the wings
and white gesso for the snow falling.

LMMS: Happy Birthday Cupcake!

Hello Everyone! Happy New Year!

This image is a rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps, she's called Polka Dot Pals Yang and I used a clear face from the Polka Dot Pals Add-on Faces. I wanted to color her in an African skin tone since it's for one of my Hubby's relatives that has a January birthday. I chose the color red because it's her favorite color and her birth stone is the Garnet.

It took a while for me to finish my card... besides being the holidays, everyone in our household was sick with flu symptoms and all of us had this bad cough. I had no time for crafting which puts me in a really grouchy mood. I wanted to make sure to add lots of little details to the card and I am happy that it's finished.

Some of the colors I used on this image are:
E31, E33, E74, E27, E23, E04, E07, E79, E00, C1 N2
W9, W7, W5
E97, E27, E99, E77, Sepia Copic Multiliner
N2, N0, 0
R24, R29, R46, R56
B21, B95, B97 and B45
I drew in the stool myself.
(Must find a chair or stool or some stamp of that nature for her to sit on...  I saw some of the inspiration photos from the LMMS store. LMMS store here I come... heehee jk. I need a nap actually.)
The scalloped die is from CC Design,
The oval dies are from My Creative Time,
The Happy Birthday dies are from Elizabeth Craft Design called 947 - Happy Birthday Pop-Up
The Recollections paper pad is called Valentine
The blue paper it's also a recollections paper but I stamped it
with a grid mesh using Distress Inks to give it a worn jean look and to
break up a lot of that beige in the background.
I found the January birthday poem online.

Here is a close-up.

Thank you for stopping by.
I hope you got a little bit of inspiration from this card.
