So here we go for July'sTheme Week!
Make ANY project using rainbows (papers, colors,, patterns, etc!)
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Hi! Today I'm popping in to show you my rainbow themed card.
I had a blast coloring this image. I did ask for permission from the owner Annie to alter the bangs and
the clothes.... just an F.Y.I. Keep in mind that the owner has the right to say no.... This time Annie was okay with it and I had so much fun coloring her like Rainbow Brite. Did you gals or guys
have any of Rainbow Brite dolls or toys? The Color Kids or maybe even a Sprite?
I only had a Rainbow Brite and I remember she had yarn hair.... to be honest that is all I remember of of the doll of yeah and she had a purple star on her cheek. I did watch the cartoons in Spanish growing up but and I found some of the English videos on YouTube that I watch with my youngest daughter when trying to soothe her and distract her from her severe Eczema itching.

I used Memento Desert Sand ink dye pad to be able to do the "no-lines-coloring" technique
and to be able to alter the bangs and clothes without any masking but if you look
closely you can sort of see the original lines.
Of course I used Copic markers, Copic multi-liner and a Uni-ball Signo White Broad
(I love Sakura but I wish the white pen was a little more opaque
because I so much prefer how it looks in the end)

For the image I used

Copic makers I used
E0000, E000, E01, E04, E21, R21 and R30
E33, E35, Y35, Y08 and Y26
V06, R24, B24, G05, YR04 and Y08
(sorry forgot the blues in her eyes)
the colors look a little brighter in person the blues in her clothing look a little too dark here.
Here you can see here up close.

Here you can see the shimmer on the stars.
The sentiment I use hand-wrote myself
(I was a bit lazy to see if I even had a color themed stamp. LOL)
and I just colored the rainbow background in carefully
and I only gave it two passes since I was scared they would
bleed into each other. The little stars from some
My Creative Time dies as well as the rectangle to cut out the layer.
4x4 Journal Die + More
Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More
The for the stars I chose colors from the rainbow that I colored then I
added Wink of Stella clear and letting them dry before I glued them
on to the card.
I hope you all really liked all of the cards for the theme week,
rainbows are one of my favorite things to see and color.
I also hope that you get a chance to work on some rainbow themed cards

This is how Trudy - Happy Day! looks before the no-lines-coloring technique.

Thank you for stopping by.
Have a colorful day!

Back to School series

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I am showing you a card with sort of a school theme. I used the fun papers from Doodlebug Design called: Back to School. The stamp I used is James - Happy Birthday to You. This stamp comes with a sentiment but I did not use it this time.

I colored him with Copic markers,
the eyelights were done with a Uni-ball Signo White pen
and the card sketch is very simple to recreate.

I used a sketch from Kraftin' Kimmy Stamps

I hope you liked the card.

Thank you for visiting.
Have a nice day.

Cupcake Time

Hello Crafty Friends!

I have a little card to show you with

I always like to play around with different skin tones but I also like to
try out different hairstyles. With Megan I wanted to try and give her some
braids. I have tried doing braids on another stamp Megan (Winter Wishes) before but with
Prismacolor pencils and you can see my process here
I think it was a little easier for me to do it with markers
but I also tried a slightly different technique that was a little faster too.
I think in the future I will have to show you my braid process with
the markers but probably when the kids are in school....

like I said before I colored Megan - Hey Cupcake
with Copic markers.

W5 and W7
E11, B34, E37, E34, R22 and R30
E50, (I forgot which yellow I used for the frosting)
but eh barrette, the collar, sprinkles
and the cherry were done in RV29

The uniform was paper pieced
and all of the design paper was all from
Echo Park: Birthday Wishes
The card base was with Recollections
Oh yea and I added Wink of Stella
Clear that I finally opened up to add some
shiny sugar to the yellow frosting. :P

Also I used this sketch for my card I just placed the sentiment
in a different spot... and I hope that is okay.

I Hope you liked my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by
Have a great weekend.

Stamp AnnieThing July Release Day 2 Kelly

Hi and welcome to Day #2 of
Stamp Anniething's July release!

I love the carefree days of Summer and hope you find this release to reflect on that.

Summer is the perfect time to catch up with your favorite books!

Kelly will be available in the store Friday along with the other 2 stamps we showed  you  this week!!
`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Good morning! Here is the project I made with the new stamp Kelly!
I colored the image with Copic markers
then I fussy cut so I can glue her
on a piece of cardstock that I distress inked
with different colors to create a galaxy full of stars.
The words from her book I stamped that part
of the image onto a section of a Doodlebug
paper that says Meow Meow Meow...
but you can only see that in person or
a super close-up picture. LOL
I found the sentiment online and I just hand-wrote it
with my Uni-ball Signo Broad pen... I noticed that
the ink would separate from the middle so when it
was almost dry I went in with my Uni-ball Sign Angelic to fill it in.
Before gluing Kelly on I made sure to die cut the galaxy with
a die from Desert Divas. The white layered paper is cut
with a Rectangle die from My Creative Time.

I hope you liked my card.
I love things with bright colors
and things that encourage kids to read...
My first intension was to make a bookmark
but it's on my long list of projects to make. LOL

Thank you for joining us for our July Release
 and have a great day!

Stamp AnnieThing July Release Day 1 - Tony

Hi and welcome to Day #1 of
Stamp Anniething's July release!

I love the carefree days of Summer and hope you find this release to reflect on that.

Meet totally rad and gnarly Tony!

Tony will be available in the store Friday along with the other 2 stamps we show  you  this week!!
`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Here is the project I made with the new stamp Tony!
Before we moved to our current house
we lived in a tiny 2 bedroom house
and we met one of the coolest persons ever- his name is Karl Watson.
Not only he was very nice and easy going,  he was always
very happy and positive about life and he loved people especially kids.
I would say he was pretty famous but my husband and I
just saw him as a very nice neighbor and friend.
Kids and grown ups would often come
to skate or see him do a trick or two.

As  you know already this stamp does not come
with dreads I just decided to make his hair that way.

I colored with Copic markers.
For skin I used colors E11, E13, E21, R30, R20
For hair: E23, E35, E59 and E79
the hat and clothing I colored a different day and I didn't write
anything down and me having my kids home all day for the summer... sorry.
Here is a close-up of Tony! (aka Karl Watson) LOL

If you search for him online or even Instagram you can see
pictures and videos of him in action but I didn't take any photos... I know...
bummer! LOL Okay I took one... but only because we were near our
old house and we were showing our kids where we used to live...
then what do you know? We catch Karl outside on the front yard
playing with his kids.

Here is the picture I have with my husband DeAndre Bess and with Karl Watson

I hope you liked my card.

It's time for another Theme Week!
Let's get crazy with Stars & Stripes!
We would love for you to participate with us in our THEME WEEK and it's quite easy to do so!  Simply create a project using ANY Stamp Anniething product (as your main focal point) in the set "theme" for that month. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

So here we go for June'sTheme Week!
Make ANY project using stars and stripes!!!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Here is what I made for the June Challenge:

When stars and stripes were mentioned of course all I could think of
was of Fourth of July or an American theme.
My stars and stripes are subtle but you can clearly see where they are.

For this card I used
First stamped the image
then I stamped it on a piece of masking paper
so I could use distress ink all over and not
"ruin" the image I intend to color.
After getting all inky with the distress inks:
Mermaid Lagoon (a tiny bit around Chloe and Sam)
Black Soot (which covers most of the background)
and Mowed Lawn (for a grassy area)
Then I drew up some fireworks
with my Uniball white pen and my Prismacolor Pencils to add some color
Prismacolors Premier and Prismacolor Berol used:
PC903, PC906, PC924, PC926, PC942, PC935 and Berol 915

When I was done with my background I carefully removed the
masking paper to save for another project
The I colored my image as normal with Copic markers
Copics:
BV11, E21, E53, E01, E50, R30
E0000. E000, R21, R39, R27, R46
B24, B28, B37, B000, B34, B95, B97
W5, W7, W9
C5, C7, C9
When all of the coloring is done I had
to look around the edges of the stamped image
because sometimes a few bits here and there
weren't covered by the distress inks
so I just for over it with the closest
colored pencil that matched.

Here is a close up of the Copic coloring, a tad bit of the background
and you can even see some of the firework colors reflecting
on their shiny hair.

Here is a tad bit of the process
before I started coloring the image
and check out those coupons and spicy wings
LOL  I just use junk mail to protect my table from the ink.
As you can see it's a pretty clean cover/masking I just had to
fill in a few little white spaces but nothing major.
Then I proceeded with my Copic coloring. :)
Those are the colors for Chloe's face but not Sam's.
I hope you liked my card.
Make sure to join us on the Facebook page with
a project with the theme above.

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a great weekend to everyone
and Happy 4th of July to those that celebrate :)
