Kids Cricut Valentine's Day cards 2013

Hi there Crafty Peeps!

A little late posting on my blog... some of you gals may have seen these on Facebook where I posted before Valentine's day. These are the little cards I made for my Kindergartner daughter:

Using Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge and a Peachy Keen Stamp for the eye
Using Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge and Peachy Keen Stamp for the face
 The little cards measured 3.5" x 4"
from an 8.5 x 11 sheet of cardstock I made
3 cards and only had to trim off half an inch.
Originally I made 17 boy cards and 8 girl cards
but the decided to make a few more (not pictured)
Along with the cards she gave Valentine's Day heart candy boxes.

Yup, there were lots of cards but surprisingly didn't take as long as
coloring. I "coached" my daughter into choosing characters that
didn't have too many layers... 'cause at first she wanted Hello Kitty
cards for all of the girls. If I hadn't started as late as I did I sure would
have 'cause I love Hello Kitty. Maybe next time... Easter maybe.

Thanks for visiting.

Encouragement card for 1 of my brother's

Hi everyone,

Hope all is well with you. Yes, I have been M.I.A. but I have been working on some projects (squeezing some in mommy life and daughter's school time.) I haven't been too lazy on crafting I promise ;)

The card here is almost finished but just wanted to take a pix before I made any changes... which I didn't make much in the end.

He is the finished card. I didn't make too many changes as you can see.
I just added a small tag with his name (I cut that out by hand, didn't feel like
looking for a tag to cut and power my Cricut.) Added a charm that reads
"HAND made with LOVE"

The Rose dies are from Spellbinder's Donna Salazar's Rose Creations Die
The rose leaves are also from Spellbinder's and the die is from the Foliage set
My "brother's doll is from Cricut's Paper Doll dress Up cartridge (I trimmed off the cheeks/jaw
because I don't like the big cheeks all of the time plus my bro has a skinny face. lol)
The iron fence is from Cricut Ornamental Iron cartridge. I love all of the intricate designs but
what sucks it's cleaning up all the left overs on the mat... so if you have a second mat just
have it ready so it won't slow you down if you're on a "crafting roll" :)
The face stamps are from Peachy Keen Stamps.

This is the back of the card
it's a Spellbinder's Shapeabilities Dies Ribbon Tag Trio 2
I just cut the the part that you stick the ribbon in off.
The wording was done on Open Office but I'm sure
someone can do it with Microsoft Word.

Side view of the card just so you can see the dimension.

Thank you so much for stooping by. I know I posted it late on my blogspot.

Have a great night.

Peachy Keen Stamps :: Sketch Challenge 51 w/ a Twist

 Hello Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a great night. I just finished my card to enter at Peachy Keen Stamps :: Sketch Challenge 51 w/ a Twist.
Original PKS Stamp

Just a little doodling and coloring on my note pad and came up with a clown face.
The more I use PKS face stamps the more my imagination flows.

Here is the girl's face or it could have been a boy with a different hair do.

made a little pair just for fun -the boy I will use for another project

The little boy clown will go on my nephew's 3rd birthday card. Happy 3rd Birthday Johnathan)
Hopefully he's not scared of clowns

Here's the finished girl "Payasita"

I like how my bug came out

Aww 6x6 card itsn't big enough for it to show my bug entirely but it's okay this time.

Look who is peeking...

Another shot of the finished card
The card is for my friend Nancy -one of her nicknames is "Payazita" she spells it different but that's my girl :)

Whew I barely made it to posting on PKS site.
Hope you like it. Thank you very much for visiting.

My Pink Stamper's NSD Challenge # 9

Challenge #9--Use Glitz, Glam and Glitter in your project!

Good Evening Everyone!

Here is my idea of glitz, glam and glitter :) Since it's National Scrapbook Day this is what I came up with when I saw the title. LOL.
What kind of scrapbook or card maker that happens to be a glitter lover won't have Stikles?
The glitz & glam was with the black dress, I was going to go with a hot pink... I think I should stuck to the pink but maybe next time. Then I added a shimmery clear Studio G glitter glue
(I wish they'd name their colors)

here you can see the difference of the black dress from the area I started to glitz up.

Standing card

Better view

For my dolls "long hair I just welded 2 together one being upside down... the girl is supposed to be me and my hair goes down to my boo-tay lol

I actually found this quote by accident but I love it, "Some girls are just born with glitter in their veins"
by Paris Hilton . LOL So not related to scrapbooking - I think -- but that quote matched my card.
The Stikles bottles and Studio G bottles are actually baby bottles from New Arrival Cart. LOL.

Thanks for checking out my page I hope you had fun.

My Pink Stamper's NSD Challenge # 1

 National Scrapbook Day Challenge #1

Hi Everyone,

Well I started this as soon as the challenge began but had technical problems and dealing with my kids all of us who have kids know how it's like. lol.
well here is my cupcake card.
I used:
The cupcake from Once Upon a Princess cartridge.
Cuttlebug embossing folder from the Once Upon a Princess set I used the cupcakes one.
For face I used one from the PK-641 Princess Faces 1 1/8th from Peachy Keen Stamps
The sentiment is the Clear Design Birthday Message from Hero Arts

inside I wasn't trying to be fancy just used a piece of scrap I had that was big enough to emboss an extra cupcake then i dabbed a little bit of color on it to pop a little more

The back.
It's a combination of me not having a good stamping technique and not inking my stamp correctly...

My Husband's Birthday Card - Hot Tub Love

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to show the card I made for my husband's birthday ( yesterday 4/18). This is my original design I call it "Hot Tub Love." I used 2 stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-660 Laughy Taffy Face Assortment but for "my hubby doll" I added the beard and goatee and made the eyebrows a little bushier like his :) The dolls are are from Paper Doll Dress Up Cart but the faces were too round for our facial shapes... just snipped a little off the cheeks. The Card actually opens and I have a birthday poem for him inside. Hope you liked the card. My hubbt thought it was funny. It was fun making it because he loves getting into his hot tub and it's usually our alone time when the kids are sleeping... (shhh.... don't tell nobody  )

Thanks for stopping by,

Akeelah's Birthday Card from Jade

Hi Everyone,

Just here getting ready for a birthday party. I procrastinated for a couple of weeks to make this card. Finally I made it just had it all planned out a few days ago on my Gypsy. My daughter Jade has a little friend named Akeelah who is turning 4 years today. (Happy Birthday Akeelah! So is one of my brother's birthday, his name is Carlos turning 26 today- Happy birthday bro!) I made all of the cuts with Once Upon a Princess cartridge - no mixing up carts today lol wanted to keep it sweet and simple but still cute for a little girl. My daughter picked all of the colors and we both know that her and her friend are into Princess and the Frog's, Tiana, so we chose her princess dress to be "green." The inside (not pictured) there is a personal message from Jade.  Hope you like it!
Thank you for visiting.

Let's Face it Friday - Flower Power {Challenge 12}

Hello everyone!

When I first read and saw the challenge... I was thinking I have nothing "different" to post. Then the next day it hit me... when I was a little kid growing up in the 90's I remember I had at least two "Musical Flowers" (I think that's what they're called) they danced and they had a guitar and they wiggled kind of funny playing whatever music it was I don't remember the music though. I remember having a happy faced one and the other one had sunglasses on. I guess I'll do another one with sunglasses another day. The flower petals are from the Forever Young Cricut Cart, the face from PK-641 Princess Faces, the musical notes from Elmo's Party Cricut Cart, the pot from Walk in My Garden Cricut Cart., the guitar from Paper Doll for Every day, the leaves from Wild Card Cricut Cart... just that I customized them, the flower stem is actually a water hose that I welded with the leaves to make it look wiggly to show movement.
That's a close up of how the petals look.
I actually completed the card on Wednesday but just now posting it. Sorry.

This card will be for my mom- the one who got me those musical flowers. LOL. I hope she likes it and I hope you gals and guys like it too.
Best Wishes.

My entry for Peachy Keen Stamps

The finished card
babies in blankets like in the nursery ready to go home
two blankets hand drawn stitching and the other two I used the Cuttlebug and lightly penciled in some color for added monochromatic effect. I also added rolled up pieces of cardstock I was planning to throw away anyway for cushion. I added some glue for the illusion of the babies bodies under their blankets.
The star decorated with Stickles and the black background for a night sky with small drawn stars and a Stickle drop in the in middle.
